Nile Rodgers: I played [the new CHIC album] for the record company yeasterday. It was very well-received. I just cut god knows how many songs with Anderson Paak and Bruno Mars. We started just jamming and writing stuff.

What Jackie said doesn't necessarily mean a single release, imho. It's just what people assume, bc big chunk of the hooligans originated from the MJ fanbase. ....but Bruno is plotting something, that's for sure. He booked the recording studio in Tokyo and became even more elusive that usual. Since they have Bruno on it and he stopped sending songs for adds few months ago it would be such a missed opportunity if they didn't. Unless he Has Janet collab around the corner. He didin't have numerous collabs competing against one another since his debut. So, I'm pretty sure he wants all eyes on Janet when that happens. |
