"Migrate" is Mariah's most overrated song (just throwing this out there). I don't think many lambs claim it's the best song in her catalog or anything. I think people just know it would have been a relevant single back in 2008, especially as compared to something like "Bye Bye." |

Yeah I agree it definitely would have made the most sense as a single but I do feel that people obsess over the song. It's not one of my favorites from E=MC2; if I never had to listen to the song again I wouldn't fret tbh. She never really had a song like that at the time and it was a hot record. I still think it's one of the highlights on that album, though I don't enjoy it as much now. |

I honestly never listen to Migrate. In other news, I've decided the single cover for Thirsty might be my least favorite in her whole catalog. : /

I really like "Thirsty" and am actually kind of excited for this album now? The three singles were all pretty meh, but I did enjoy them to some extent.

I looked at the calendar today and all I could think was "ya Thursday, ya Thursday, ya Thursday." I actually tweeted this Thursday morning LOL. "Migrate" is Mariah's most overrated song (just throwing this out there). Preach the realest. That's why I have been calling it Migraine for years now. I've NEVER really liked that song. 1) I can't stand T-Painful. He is seriously one of my least favorite artists of all time, so I was upset to hear she even worked with him to begin with, not the mention the fact that the execution wasn't worth it. 2) The song is so inert. It doesn't go anywhere at all. Lifeless, dull, etc. The best thing about the song is "Migrate...BYE! Keep it moving (Bounce)" Then again, that's exactly what I want to tell that song. |

She tries to jam so many catchphrases in the song that it just becomes so silly. At least Thirsty is fun and most importantly, doesn't feature T-Pain. It's still melodic but has an edge and is hella catchy. Basically, it's everything Migrate isn't, wasn't, and won't ever be.

The melody sounds like something I've heard in another Mariah song-- I think it reminds me of part of "X-Girlfriend". |

I have benn JAMMING to Thirsty, Beautiful Remix, Migrate... The 3 sound great back to back.. I cant wait to see what remixes she pulls out for Thirsty. Shes going hard this era and Im loving it. I also think the title is amazing, and ya know what? the anticipation that built just from the Title gives me a good sign for this album/era. I live in Jersey and Id Really want to go tomorrow to see her, cuz Im off too. But everyone else isn't it. So ill be catching it at home. I hope she sings something new. If she was smart that's exactly what she would do, Sell that album girl...

Some random things I came across today:
What holiday song was she singing on the Music Box tour in 1993?!?! Was there ever audio or video?
When did she start shading "I Don't Wanna Cry?" It sounds like in 1993 she liked the song enough to recapture some of it, and she obviously performed it on tour in 1996.
Which George Michael song was that? I need to listen to "Music Box" and then Faith, but I am assuming it could be "One More Try."
