Based on her current single and the last one, I have a feeling we're in for some of her best vocals yet with this new album. Can't wait!

I gotta be honest and say her CMT performance was a bit "meh" for me.
That said, I'm stoked she's getting back out there again, and she'll dominate once she's back in the swing of things.
I absolutely love that her fans came through for her with several award wins, too. She has always been so appreciative of fans (and fan-voted awards), since her Idol days.
It had to mean so much to her to know that after a decade (and a bit of a break), her fans are still as loyal as ever.
Very few artists can claim such a thing these days.

^^ Agree- I think her vocals from the Opry Show >>> the CMT one, which is just average for Carrie standards but pretty good for her first televised performance post-baby (in addition to looking as hot as ever). Without a doubt, she will be at or near Reba-level of legend status among female country artists in the history books.

^^^ I was just glad to see/hear that her voice is still there. Sometimes pregnancy adversely impacts singing voices for some reason. I was nervous for that... But she sounded just fine, and will surely improve as she gets back into the swing of live performances.

Y'all. She absolutely murdered it tonight. Wait until you hear SITW. I've never heard such power in her voice as I did tonight.
Nobody's ass was in their seat. She was a killer closer tonight. Amazing. Unreal. Bet your ass she feeds her voice Miracle Gro.

Carrie's backstage interview at LP Field, via Billboard. She discusses CMA Fest, new music, and motherhood. "I had a lot more time to write. With the pregnancy, I couldn't be out on tour like I normally would be, so I definitely filled my time working in another ways," Underwood said. "It's been interesting, because there's some songs that I feel like we've been listening to over a year. You know you still love them even though you've heard them that much, and you're on the right track. I feel like that's where we are right now. We're in a really good place." www.billboard.com/articles/columns/country/6598094/carrie-underwood-talks-new-music-motherhood-cma-music-festival?utm_source=twitter

LBT just confirmed at the CMA Fest tonight that Carrie and Brad are cohosting the CMAs again this year! They're better than Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan at the A.C.M.s!

Without a doubt, she will be at or near Reba-level of legend status among female country artists in the history books. I felt like the production at the CMT Awards was too loud, which was drowning Carrie out but also now allowing her to just sing. I don't know why some of her performances are organized in that manner since what people want to hear more than anything is her voice.

Confirmed on CCUSA that next year will include a lot of touring and that she's working with another producer on this record in addition to Mark Bright.
This basically all but seals the deal that this album is coming before the end of this year.

Really curious to know who the other producer is. I also read on twitter from someone who listened to the CCUSA interview that she mentioned there would be some twang in the new songs.
I'm fully expecting a lead single to drop by the end of summer with a new album in October/November.

Yeah, I'm gonna predict a September lead single with the album dropping in November.
As for producers, I'd really love to see her work with Mutt Lange (due to my love for the work he did with Shania). I mean, Carrie did include "Who Are You" on her last album which was written by him. I'd love to see what they could do together.

I wonder if the second producer is Jay Joyce. He was mentioned doing some work for Carrie in a article on billboard country. I would love it for it to be him

Been dreaming up potential tour openers for next year. I'd love to see Carrie do an all-female tour. She usually tours with male acts, but if any female artist could pull off a full all-girls tour, it's Carrie. She has enough star power all on her own that she doesn't really need her openers to boost her numbers. Even if it's not an all-female tour, I'd at least like to see Carrie bring out one female artist in addition to the usual male opener.
Looking at CAA's artist roster, there are a lot of great female acts to choose from. Some of the likeliest candidates IMO include Cam, Kelsea Ballerini, Lauren Alaina, Maddie & Tae, and Mickey Guyton. Cam has the label connection, Lauren has the Idol connection, and Carrie seems to get on really well with both Kelsea and Mickey. Not sure if there's a Maddie & Tae connection, but I think they'd fit well with Carrie's crowd. It's exciting to think of all the possibilities!
To think, we're almost certainly getting a brand new album in less than six months! It's been a long 3+ year wait.
