I still think the new album will be commercial but have a slightly different production found. Just guessing but it feels like she'll go there. Do we know if she's still working with Mark Bright? I would assume so, but haven't seen any postings about this yet. Bright's done some great stuff with her in the past, but I'd love to see her branch out a bit in the future, even just for a few songs.

I still listen to "Blown Away" about once or twice a week. That song (and album) are her best work so far. I hope that she continues in that direction for the new album. Judging by "Little Toy Guns" being the current single, and it originally meant for album #5, I think things are definitely heading in that direction.

Here's the title of a new co-write:

Carrie literally sounded flawless tonight... Listened to her sets live. Probably the best I've ever heard her sound at the Opry.

Carrie brought her friends and family along with her to the fan club party. A bunch of fans who were there have posted selfies with Carole (Carrie's mom), Ivey (Carrie's best friend) and Melissa (Carrie's hairstylist and makeup artist). I've heard Mike and Isaiah were at the Opry as well, but I'm not sure if they made an appearance at the FCP. Congrats to everyone who got to go!

The final nominees for CMT Video of the Year have been announced. Both SITW and SB made the cut... I'm going with SITW, fingers crossed! You can vote as many times as you want.

I really have no idea who will win Video of the Year tonight. Hardcore Carrie fans are mostly voting for "Something in the Water," Miranda fans are voting for "Somethin' Bad," and Carrie retweeted Miranda's tweet about voting for SB so now a bunch of Carrie fans are switching to that. I just hope the two videos don't cancel each other out and someone else ends up winning by default.
Edit: Sony is also promoting SB for the win. I just got 2 emails from them.

Yes, Carrie Underwood has a baby Isaiah song for her new albumCarrie Underwood is hard at work on her next album, and there’s a good chance she’ll include a song inspired by her son, Isaiah, who was born in February.
“I kind of tried to stay away from it,” Underwood told USA TODAY backstage at Wednesday’s CMT Music Awards, where she won three categories, including video of the year “I didn’t want to force anything or have anything be cheesy or weird, like ‘Oh, she had a baby, so she’s singing about her baby.’ It just kind of happened one day.”
Underwood’s pretty sure the song about her son will make the album, but it’s not a given. “I’ll cut anything” from the album, she says. “I have no loyalties to any song, even if it’s one I wrote. But I think it’ll make it on there.”
The singer — who looked fantastic on the red carpet and when she performed her single Little Toy Guns — says she has “more than a good start” on the album. “We’re taking things in sections,” she says. “it’s like, with these three songs, we know we’re good, so let’s do those. We’ll do those, I’ll vocal them, then we’ll pick another group of songs. I’m figuring out the last few, I think.
“There are some things on there that are definitely familiar, but there’s a lot of growth that has happened, as well. It’s going to sound a little bit different — still the things that fans will obviously know is me. I’m not going crazy or anything , but it’s a little bit of a shift.”

She hasn't acknowledged her growth as an artist so much, so it's nice to see! I don't think I've been this excited for a Carrie album, ever! I'm anxious to see if she continues in the "Blown Away" direction, or if she explores new directions... Can't wait!!!

I haven't checked on Carrie news in a while. New music soon. Still looking as hot as ever (she had a baby, really?). Clean sweep at CMT with just Greatest Hits era. Still the Queen.

^ Nothing out of the ordinary... Just continued dominance throughout her hiatus. Picked up a Grammy, a People's Choice Award, a Billboard Award, 3 CMT Awards, a record-breaking #1 single, and a single that just broke into the top 3... Hasn't had a TV performance since December... No big deal.
