Now it's time for the real entertainment for tonight. Shameless, Walking Dead, Looking, Girls, and wine.

Congrats to the winners. Not my favorite Grammys, so looking forward to next year.

I know people make jokes about how people say every year is so bad but I seriously do not remember a worse Grammy telecast. This was awful, from the snoozy performances, the order of the awards, some of the winners, huge gaps between awards, bringing the memorial AFTER the last award of the night, etc. awful job by the producers.
The liveliest part was the first performance of the night, AC/DC. Who knew then it would be bed time right after that?
The pretty good performers brought down by the tone of the show: Annie Lennox (best of the night) and Hozier, Ed Sheeran, Usher, Common and John Legend, AC/DC. That's about it.

I can't at people on social media criticizing Prince for Black Lives Matter.

Should of had Leona on to perform "Come Alive" or "Glassheart" tbh. #justiceforglassheart I will award a personal Grammy to that SMASH that got away.

Beck wins AOTY?? Are you f**king kidding me? Over BeyoncΓ© or Sam Smith? Well, at least Pharrell Williams didn't win. Yep! He made the best album of 2014 and won! Far better than Beyonce's awful lyrics that reek of lack of education and opportunities ("ridin wit ma surfbort"). Any questions? What surprised me most was that I made a last-minute prediction that he will be nominated for AOTY (just based on the rave reviews) and he did not only get nominated, but won the award.

You can defend someone without putting down someone else 2. Cherry-picking a single line from an entire album does no favors for your credibility 3. Subtle classism isn't cute.

Glad I couldn't watch tonight and got the rundown here. Terrible winners list and it sounds like only a few good performances to grab. Interesting after making so much progress to get contemporary, they served up a lot of ancient performers, which is fine, but it's back to being the Grannys....

The Grammy's were unbearable to watch. It was extremely boring. I turned my TV off after RIhanna's performance. Too many boring ballads.

When and where did she get the title "role model" and is she getting paid for that?

Can't believe Beck grabbed AOTY. Love it. Neither could Kanye, he faked going up on stage but as a joke. Later on E After Party, he went off on a rant about the Grammys getting serious about these awards. He thought Beyonces album should have won by a mile and to give this award to someone like Beck diminishes the entire award show. So, yea, he pulled another Taylor, sort of.

Overall Grammy review, I didn't mind it. Yeah it was incredibly heavy on the ballads and slow songs, much too much so, and I've have liked more awards given out and winners more suited to my opinion but otherwise, there weren't *that* many bad performances. There weren't a lot of great ones either but I think we've been spoiled in past years with good gossip and stuff. After the slow year 2014 was in pop music, the Grammys that reflected it was much better than I would have thought had you asked me at the end of December.
The best performances were, in no order:
Ed Sheeran and his pair of performances Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga were classy but great! Rihanna really surprised me. I was pleased. Hozier and Annie Lennox. I put Annie up there with Deborah Harry as legends who don't get enough credit these days. Brandy Clark pleased me with hers.
Also special shoutout to Sia because Sia deserves all the praise.

Kanye was being interviewed on E and said that "Beck should've supported artistry and given his award to Beyonce".

I'll be honest, I've never heard of Beck, but if he won obviously he deserved it.
I'm incredibly happy that Sam Smith won over the overhyped Sia. I CANNOT stand her. The way she promotes, her voice, her songs. I hate all of it. I don't understand how she was even nominated.
On a side note, I only enjoyed Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran (minus the still trying to stay relevant but needs to just go away Mary) and John Legend/Common.
