Is this the first time that every song in the top 5 of the Hot 100's primary artist is from a different country? 1. Australia 2. USA 3. Canada 4. Norway 5. UK Pretty cool imo (even if some of the songs themselves are not ) After the dance pop era the states are ready for diversity ...here for it.

On Top of the World isn't out of the woods yet. It is very likely that it could fall off this week now that it's definitely going backwards. By the way, the way I know those positions on my last post is because the "highlights" page for the new week is often a half-hour or so earlier than the full page. Case in point: www.billboard.com/charts/2014-07-05/hot-100From there, you can see the Most Weeks On (from which I can tell if something from last week went recurrent), Greatest Rise, and Greatest Fall. Checking Heatseekers "highlight" page also is useful to figure out graduates. UPDATE: Some other tidbits: Airplay Gainer: Am I Wrong Sales Gainer: Shower Streaming Gainer: ???

Indeed, it theoretically will, if it doesn't fall off right before it goes recurrent. (on the chart dated 6/28/14, it's at 19 weeks) With how low it is, that is a distinct possibility.
UPDATE: Full chart's up, and On Top of the World did survive this week at #98. So yeah, it is now in the double doomed position of about to fall off as a recurrent and fall off the Hot 100 anyway simultaneously.

Where did "last minute positions we didn't know" come from, at that time? :) They come from the following: www.billboard.com/charts/2014-07-05/hot-100 (Well, we already knew these obviously) www.billboard.com/charts/2014-07-05/hot-100?order=timeon (Also, by comparing this with the previous week's, I figured out that "Team" had to have gone recurrent) www.billboard.com/charts/2014-07-05/hot-100?order=gainerwww.billboard.com/charts/2014-07-05/hot-100?order=dropwww.billboard.com/charts/2014-07-05/heatseekers-songs (Not positions, but comparing with the previous week's revealed that Cut Her Off had to be in the top half now) Before the main pages get updated to show the full thing, these pages, which are what remain after the next week's charts are updated if you browse on the Billboard site, are added. Today it was about 6:15 when these pages were added and about 7:00 when the full charts were updated, so it's not much of an early special. However, since I'm keeping a spreadsheet of all the action of the Hot 100 (viewable here; be sure to view it in View -> List mode to sort), it's rather useful so I don't have so much to enter once the full chart is ready.

Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind Of Night" tops the 2M mark in digital sales this week. It's his fourth song to reach this level, following "Country Girl (Shake It For Me)" (3,089,000), "Drunk On You" (2,847,000) and "I Don't Want This Night To End" (2,552,000). This puts Bryan in a tie with Jason Aldean as the only male solo country artists to amass four 2M sellers. "That's My Kind Of Night" was #1 on Hot Country Songs for 12 weeks last year. "Remind Me," a Brad Paisley duet with Carrie Underwood, tops the 2M mark in digital sales this week. It's Paisley's first song to reach this level; Underwood's fifth. It's the fourth country collabo to sell 2M or more copies in digital history. It follows "Boys 'Round Here" by Blake Shelton featuring Pistol Annies & Friends (2,559,000), "Don't You Wanna Stay" by Jason Aldean with Kelly Clarkson (2,479,000) and "Knee Deep" by Zac Brown Band featuring Jimmy Buffett (2,181,000). (Note: I'm not counting "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line featuring Nelly (6,858,000), on the grounds that country stations mostly played the original version, not the pop remix.) "That's My Kind Of Night" and "Remind Me" are the 49th and 50th country songs to sell 2 million digital copies. What was the first? Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats," which crossed the 2M mark the week ending Dec. 30, 2007. music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart-watch/chart-watch-maroon-5-beats-coldplay-211508183.htmlSo, Carrie has 5 songs to sell 2 million or more, and that makes her the only country artist in general to have that many. Sweet.

Sweet. Well there's Taylor swift , and I wouldn't count I knew you were trouble and we are never getting back together as country but her earlier singles are debatable like love story , you belong with me , mine , Etc

Dark Horse is at #5, #36 and #12 on Streaming, Sales and Airplay. Easy to see what component is keeping it afloat.

WANEGBT was played on country radio IIRC and was considered to have country components. Same with LS, Mine, some others. Not too sure about YBWM though.

The one that involves people actually listening to the record. Or public places like parties forcing it on people. What is this implying? Streaming services don't really know how many people are in the room.. If one person at the party chooses to play it, it counts as one stream

If one person at the party chooses to play it, it counts as one stream Well in that case airplay is no less of a factor. Except that it's a lot more than just one person requesting it to be played. Not to mention that sales are the person who wants to listen to the song actually paying money to own it on iTunes. Idk wtf Adonis is talking about.
