Reba has only released 3 solo studio albums this century. That's incredible to think about when before that she rarely even went 2 years without an album between 1978 and 1999. So much good music that she could have released in that missed time is a sad opportunity missed. It's better late than never I guess and I can't wait to hear what the Queen comes out with next! You can thank her sitcom for that. Reba McEntire released her third greatest hits CD for MCA in 2001 when the sitcom debuted and did not release her first studio CD this century until 2003's Room To Breathe. I just hope Nash Icon can bring her back big time.

My prayers go out to Reba, her father has passed away. He must have been the proudest daddy in the whole wide world. RIP.

I know what she's going through as I lost my father this year too. It's tough, but she's strong, she's proven that all along. Still my prayers are with her.

Lol... Reba is one of those who you simply cannot count out. People were saying the same thing a few years ago and then she released "Consider Me Gone", arguably her biggest career hit (in terms of radio). A decade prior to that, she was being counted out but still managed to release a string of hits: "I'm a Survivor", "Somebody", "He Gets That From Me", etc. Now I'm not saying she'll come back like she has the past two times she's made a "comeback", I'm just saying she shouldn't be counted out completely... People love them some Reba!

^I truly hope that she does come back and with a vengeance. Country radio NEEDS her.

If this is really "vintage" Reba, there is absolutely no chance she is played at radio. I'm guessing it will be Reba with bigger drums and bass singing a story song that gets played.

^That's fine as long as the songs are good and she's played.

Crazy that "vintage" Reba involves someone she first worked with (as main production collaborator) on her 15th or so studio album.
It would be nice to see the format give decent play to someone who's been in the game for so long. Country radio seems more open to that than other formats- George Strait scored a top 10 country hit a couple of years ago. Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, etc. have struggled, but they've also been recording since the 1960s.

Second, George Strait's last top ten was LAST year's Give It All We Got Tonight (#2). Kenny Rogers started locally during the late 1950s.

Any more news with this album? I really can't wait! The promotion team has apparently been played the new single and have told me that "new single is incredible" but thats all I've heard. Reba did a photo shoot before going on vacation, her go to make up artist flew into Nashville special for the shoot so I'm assuming that was the album shoot.

Got a weird email this morning saying something was being changed. Got another little while that the single has been switched.

Any word on whether her performance on the American Country Countdown Awards will be a new single? Not that this show is something you'd plan your debut around but if there's talk of the album being almost done and the new single being picked, why not? If not, it will probably be a medley of some sort with Kelly and Miranda each performing a bit of one of her hits and then Reba joining them on another hit.

How do you know she's performing on the ACCA Awards? slowmo posted in the News thread that it says so in the newest issue of Country Weekly. Finally, a reason to watch that show I would assume that she's performing some sort of medley of her big hits, but I'd love it if it were the new single.

I don't have any confirmation, but it wouldn't exactly surprise me--the American Country Countdown is produced by Cumulus, and of course the Nash Icon label is associated with Cumulus. So I could see it going either way...some sort of medley or perhaps Reba will be ready to launch the new single.

With all the Cumulus/Nash connections with this show, it wouldn't surprise me at all to have her debut new music. But then the addition of Miranda and Kelly in the performance has me thinking it won't be. Here's the parts of the CW story that talks about the ACCAs

Maybe Miranda and Kelly pay tribute and Reba burns down the house with a new single.
Yes this is definately a reason to watch.
