Any word on whether her performance on the American Country Countdown Awards will be a new single? Not that this show is something you'd plan your debut around but if there's talk of the album being almost done and the new single being picked, why not? If not, it will probably be a medley of some sort with Kelly and Miranda each performing a bit of one of her hits and then Reba joining them on another hit. I don't have any confirmation, but it wouldn't exactly surprise me--the American Country Countdown is produced by Cumulus, and of course the Nash Icon label is associated with Cumulus. So I could see it going either way...some sort of medley or perhaps Reba will be ready to launch the new single. I've reached out for some more info, now hopefully I'll hear back :) But thinking about it...Cumulus is providing an excellent platform to launch this new music. The event is hosted by Florida Georgia Line so I'm guessing it will bring in a large viewing audience. While I don't see anything referencing a performance I just see she will be presented with the award. It would make sense to have her debut the new single and then they go into a speech about the award then present the award to her lol.

The Country Weekly article makes it sound like she's also performing, but with the official announcements today it sounds like it'll only be Miranda and Kelly doing a tribute for her.

Someone (mind you with just one post in their posting history) posted in the New Singles thread that she is performing her new single. I don't know but I hope so.

Most of me really hopes that she does perform it, but then a little part of me doesn't want her to, because mid-December is about the worst possible time to release a new single.

From what I got today she is "possibly" performing. I think they are still trying to figure out if it's good for her to perform and if its better for her to perform a medley or release something new.

I'm guessing it will be debuted at the ACCAs on December 15th. They won't wait for June to release the album. I am guessing February or early March release for the CD.

I could see either Kelly or Miranda covering that. My guess is Kelly and she's sound great on it a la Why Haven't I Heard From You.

An audio of the two tracks in a medley was released on her promo cd for Whirlpool way back when.

I'll have to try to find it!

It's not a studio recording, unfortunately. :( It's a mini live CD that she did for Habitat for Humanity/Whirlpool. "I'm A Survivor" and "Take It Back/Why Haven't I Heard From You" are the only live songs on it and then a message or something afterwards. I'd have to find my copy to remember! Hahaha

I am guessing February or early March release for the CD. Feb. 10 ;) I've sent a couple emails and every response including one from a Sr. VP at BMLG said no date has been set or agreed upon at this point. Also they haven't even release the first single so we shouldn't even be talking album release date yet because if you look at Reba's release history that gives the single 2 months before album release and they haven't done that since Room to Breathe and I don't see that being repeated. Now looking at the times I'd reconsider my estimate from before. I'm gonna say a March or even April release date unless they are just itching all of a sudden to release the music then maybe it'll get bumped but February 10th seems highly unlikely. First Single (Date) - Album Release Date - Time BetweenTurn On The Radio (July 19th) - ATWIA (Nov 19th) - 3 months & 21 Days Strange (April 6th) - KOLY (Aug 18th) - 4 months & 12 Days Because Of You (May 15th) - Duets (Sept 18th) - 4 months & 3 Days IGTTM (August 30th) - RTB (Nov 18th) - 2 months & 19 Days Searching through twitter looking for any buzz there I came across that a Reba fan heard three of the tracks because they were a part of a RadioTrak survey that had been sent out.

Searching through twitter looking for any buzz there I came across that a Reba fan heard three of the tracks because they were a part of a RadioTrak survey that had been sent out. I have also heard the songs and I love them. There were three, and each one was pretty great. "Enough" was the power ballad with Jennifer Nettles, and that was obviously fantastic. Reba sure picks great duets. I love the lyrics and how they use the titular word. "The half of him he gives to me will never be enough, but every time I think I've had enough, he comes around and wraps me up in love and I wind up giving in, 'cause he gives me just enough to make me think that there's still hope for us, but in the end it's only me, wishing I could be, wishing I still was enough to make him want to stay, enough to make him walk away, I just want to hear him say my love's enough." "Love Somebody" was interesting and had "na-na-na's," handclaps, and one booming, uptempo chorus that went like: "You're gonna love somebody, don't you want to love somebody? You ain't alive until you love somebody, everybody wants to love somebody." The production was definitely contemporary and not necessarily what people would expect, but I think the song works for her. It stood out the least of the three songs, though. "Ain't Goin' Out Like That" was the best one for radio should they want success outside their Icons format. Rocking, uptempo, modern yet classic sound, reminds me of "Strange" - "He thought she'd be sitting home crying, but she ain't goin' out like that. She's had enough of feeling like dying, she ain't goin' out like that. Everybody, here comes the life of the party, yeah, she is. He might have left her brokenhearted, but she ain't goin' out like that."

Thanks for the feedback, Censor. The tracks sound promising. Strange is one of my favorite tracks from her last few CDs so I'm looking forward to Ain't Going Out Like That....and of course that Jennifer Nettles duet sounds epic.

•Reba's written 1 of the songs on the album(Country Weekly Video)
She wrote her top five hit in 1985: Only In My Mind. That Reba. Going crazy with her writing. Who does she think she is, George Strait?

Thanks so much for posting this. I love all of these songs. I could really hear "Ain't Going Out Like That" becoming a big hit, if radio would give it a chance. It's fantastic....contemporary, but still so 'Reba'. I really hope it's the single. I also love "Enough" - what a great song, and sung so well by her and Jennifer. "Love Somebody" is really good too. If this is any indication, the album is going to be fantastic.
