They'll count. Complete my album doesn't affect the song chart that way. These album track sales are from people buying tracks rather than the album. But I think what Technicolor meant was that the Digital Sales chart will see very pathetic numbers because CMA does affect that one. True but it would only affect SIO, OOTW and WTNY, and most of the CMA effect already happened last week, so it won't be that dramatic.

Meghan has The Today Show and the CMA performance this week so she might have a chance to be #1 next week if she loses it this week.good timing on Tayor's part to pull her songs.

Well Meghan Trainor released her album last week too so it could affect AATB and LAM as well No she didn't. Her album comes out in January. I wonder if Habits could be the next #1...I'd hate for my earlier prediction to be wrong but I love the song so I wouldn't mind being wrong there No chance. It's falling fast. The next #1 will be either Animals, Take Me to Church, or I'm Not the Only One. Those are the only songs that are rising well enough to reach the top soon.

Okay, I'm new to this, can some please explain to me what these are? They are weekly audience impressions for radio. (Or the number of listeners on radio in the last 7 days) The gains occur when the people in charge will remove the last week's gain (for say... Wednesday's listeners) and replace it (with this Wednesday's listeners) and then you get the final number. I'm also not the best at explaining things like this, so if you're still confused, talk to someone like Kurt or kworb.

The next #1 will be either Animals, Take Me to Church, or I'm Not the Only One. Those are the only songs that are rising well enough to reach the top soon. Of those, Animals is the most likely, based on airplay and sales.

No problem! :)
I predict top 10 at least, but we'll see how it does at that point before I say any higher.

I say if Love Me Harder can go hard, and its video catches on, it could maybe go #1... all depends on timing. I thought Problem would be a definite #1, and then Fancy happened :(
Can't wait to see what Ghost enters at! Also, Prayer In C entered Pop Radio top 50 today.

No chance. It's falling fast. ?? It's going to be out of the top 10 on digital and streaming soon. Airplay is the only thing keeping Habits as high as it is.

It's going to be out of the top 10 on digital and streaming soon. Airplay is the only thing keeping Habits as high as it is. what makes you so sure of that? Not COMPLETELY sure, but it's falling in those two categories while most of the other songs in the top 10 are either staying put or increasing (Animals, TMTC). It'll be the next airplay #1 though.

'Habits (Stay High)' is the seventh Pop Songs leader by a rookie this year. Plus, Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space' debuts and Imagine Dragons fire back with 'I Bet My Life.'
Chart Highlights offers a sneak peek at a select group of Billboard charts every Monday. Find out the top songs, Greatest Gainers and debuts on the surveys listed below.
All our charts are refreshed on billboard.com and Billboardbiz every Thursday and appear in the next issue of Billboard magazine.
Tove Lo Debuts Talks 'Truth Serum' EP, Working With Adam Lambert
Pop Songs *** No. 1 (2 weeks)*** "Habits (Stay High)" Tove Lo Tove Lo vaults 5-1 on the Pop Songs radio airplay chart with her debut hit, "Habits (Stay High)." The coronation marks the seventh No. 1 in 2014 by an act in a first appearance on the chart (as a lead), following Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass," Charli XCX's "Boom Clap," Sam Smith's "Stay With Me," Magic's "Rude," Nico & Vinz's "Am I Wrong" and Iggy Azalea's "Fancy." The bounty of rookie rulers is the greatest since 1997, when eight newcomers led on their first tries: the Cardigans ("Lovefool"), Savage Garden ("I Want You"), Hanson ("MMMBop"), Meredith Brooks ("Bitch"), OMC ("How Bizarre"), Third Eye Blind ("Semi-Charmed Life"), Sugar Ray ("Fly") and Chumawamba ("Tubthumping"). Programmers have attributed the abundance of new acts' dominance both to song quality and a lull in product from veterans (Billboard, Sept. 13).
Meanwhile (below), follow-ups to two recent Pop Songs No. 1s debut. Taylor Swift follows "Shake It Off," which drops 1-3 after two nonconsecutive weeks on top, with "Blank Space" at No. 29, while Trainor's "Lips Are Movin" bows at No. 30.

I remember when "Flava In Ya Ear" dropped. I love to bop to that song back then.

How did TIHWD became #1 at dance chart? What's the number of her streak there? I can't believe shes still slaying even with her flops. :'( Dance Club Songs is based on DJ playlists. This would be her 16th #1 there, I believe, which ties her with Kristine W at the 7th most #1s on the chart. are you fucking serious 6 people have each had more than 16 #1s? That's madness. Holy shit.

Holy s**t. Madonna has the most by far at 43. After her comes Rihanna (22), Beyonce (21), Janet Jackson (19), Donna Summer (17), and Mariah (17)

I didn't even know Madonna even released that many singles in the first place lol, let alone that each and every one of them went #1 (I mean each of 43, I do realize that she presumably had at least a couple more that didn't reach #1 on the chart) Wow 171 #1's for just 8 acts...but then again each song gets 1 maybe 2 weeks at #1
