I think we'd better ask Rocky about which song deserves #1 lol He'll just blindly agree with everything Billboard does -__- a song could get #1 with 5k downloads, 1M AI and 10 million streams for a viral video which features 3 seconds of the song and he will say it was legitimate. Not about to argue with him over it again. Actually his style is not agreeing with billboard as he said...but his style is arguing with everything he doesn't agree in an aggressive and sarcastic way lol But let's finish these fights :) Here is a place for talking about hot 100 We are all friend and we should be tolerate to what other people think and respect their opinion...everybody thinks differently :) For finishing these arguments I apologize Rocky if I talked badly to him :) OK change the atmosphere please :) ;)

Dear poster called Dooshi who is here for almost two years and should know better: Please. Stop presenting yourself as a victim here. 1. YOU were the one tagging me, basically inviting me into a discussion I don't care about. You started it and now you are crying here. Now I'm an aggressive jerk whose "style is sarcastic" (no shit :O ). Then you ask people to stop fighting. What? There's no need to remind me what this board is about and boasting about respecting other people's opinion - which is quite ironic since you just showed your unability to do so -, I trying to be true to that principle, unlike you. Oh and you should re-read my !1! post. I was not picking on anyone, again unlike you. 2. I was not talking to you anyway. Unless you and that other account named Mark G are the same person. I doubt that's the case, so yeah...
I'm not even posting in these threads anymore, because they are rather stale lately. Mind your own business and leave me out of it, please. Dooshi, I appreciate your apology (assumed it's sincere) and accepted it.

You all seem to be forgetting that Problem existed.
I think if Taylor waits for Blank Space and Shake It Off to die a little more, Style could go #1. It'd be awesome if she performed all three at the Grammys and then they all shot up to #1, #2 and #3 (I can dream).

Sales estimates 1. Uptown Funk 429,000 (will be affected by CMA)3. Lips Are Movin 167,000 (will be affected by CMA) 7. Uma Thurman 133,000 (will be affected by pre-orders)8. Centuries 128,000 (will be affected by pre-orders)10. All About That Bass 100,000 (will be affected by CMA) 12. Ghost 86,000 (will be affected by CMA)25. Animals 55,000 (will be affected by CMA)Those are affected, right? Uptown Special and Chapter One came out this week, the release of "Sugar" means that the sales for "Animals" will be adversely affected on Digital (though not Hot 100), and the instant grat of "Uma Thurman" for American Beauty/American Psycho means that both it and "Centuries" aren't going to have as high reported sales. Unless of course those are already compensated for or I misunderstood something.

Animals won't be affected, that album's been out for a long time. There might be some people completing V, but we wouldn't notice. FOB, yes you're right.

Oh, OK, that's (relatively) good to hear. While it's sad to know Ella isn't going to be having a top 10 on the BB200 most likely with Chapter One, at least that hopefully means the "album effect" won't take down Ghost just yet and it still has a fighting chance for the top 20 now or soon.

So is Uptown Funk going to be the first song to get 5 million on-demand streams in a week? Surely it will get at least 200k from other sources. I remember a year ago songs could barely make 2 million...on-demand streaming has severely increased in recognition in the past year :O

I remember a year ago songs could barely make 2 million...on-demand streaming has severely increased in recognition in the past year :O I wish I could find the link, but there is an article that came out a few weeks back showing Spotify's user base has exponentially increased since the Taylor Swift debacle. As I said at the time, Spotify could really care less if Taylor is on the service or not, they just need users, and the media attention around it was good for both parties involved. The trick for Spotify now is going to be converting their ad-based customers to subscription customers.

Does anybody think we'll finally get some new top ten entries tomorrow on the Hot 100?

Does anybody think we'll finally get some new top ten entries tomorrow on the Hot 100? I think Sugar is a lock for the top ten this week. Besides that no. But I think this is the week Thinking Out Loud reaches top 3 maybe 2.

Lips are moving will get hit with CMA pretty hard I would imagine, but will AATB? A chunk of its sales were probably already "returned" when the EP came out. If you bought the EP, wouldn't the album version of AATB (as well as Dear Future Husband, Title, and Close Your Eyes) be totally independent of that?

As for top 10 movers, prospects look dull for everything:
11. Animals - Prospects are only good if it receives proxy effect from Sugar 12. I Don't F*** With You - Sales are dropping and radio's starting to get -1M AI daily. 13. The Heart Wants What it Wants - Radio isn't gaining fast enough and sales are slowly tumbling away from top 20 14. The Hanging Tree - The Rebel Remix isn't making up for the drop in sales for the main version 15. Centuries - This upcoming week is its last shot, and I doubt it 16. Only - The chance passed with Pink Print's launch 17. Elastic Heart - It's not lasting on the top 20 this week, though it seems like it could return in a few weeks 18. No Type - Hahahano. Streaming peaked a while ago, and SremmLife is already out with the sales dropping to match. 19. Tuesday - It's been bulleting forever and yet never seems to go anywhere but down. All the hype for this track is just on slow burn now. 20. 7/11 - It's possible, but I dunno. Drunk in Love got in through the fervor of the 2013 album launch, while this already has the More EP behind it without that much hype.

Well, I'm waiting for this week's movement to decide on a forecast. If it moves like 28-23, I'm going to say a 40% chance of sleeper hit and 80% chance of a #20-#15 peak. On the other hand, if it leaps 28-15, I'd say there's a 50% chance it peaked and a 40% chance of a top 10 move in the near future.
