It was on After Midnite's Pick it or Flick it. It got 100% picked but it got a lot of help from Blair Garner who renamed the portion Pick it or Pick It. It says 95% Picked on their website. Either way, people oviously love this song.

I think this is a solid single. Somehow her vocals on this song remind me of Delores O'Riordan (during the Linger era of The Cranberries). I'm not hearing that at all, Delores is Irish or something.

A 95% score on 'Pick It Or Flick It' is just about the highest score EVER on that show in its 13 or 14 year history.
But anyone who expects this song to soar up the charts doesn't know much abour radio programming, and especially since the corporate takeover initiated by Clear Channel & CBS, just to name a couple.
The format has never been more micromanaged that it is today, today's PDs frequently have more than ONE station to program and/or oversee everything, and as R J Curtis mentioned in his R&R column a week or two ago, the time pressures which mopst country PDs endure not only preclude them from listening to new songs all the way through, but might have cost GEORGE STRAIT a #1 single 20+ years ago if that single were released to radio today. (You Straitaholics undoubtedly know which song of his I'm talking about!!!!)
This is a TERRIFIC song, and so is the CD, and the avalanche of praise from a ton of PDs at numerous MAJOR country stations is NO surprise to anyone.
If some of the most respected and VERY well established artists out there (including such format heavyweights as Sara Evans, Phil Vassar & TONS of others) can't scoot up the charts due to the PISD (Play It Safe Disease) which ALL country PDS are inflicted with (the same applies at other formats as well), then anyone who expects a NEW song by a NEW artist to streak to the top of the charts as quickly as a single by the likes of Tim McGraw, Keith Urban or any ofther format megastar is out to lunch.

She has a really sweet voice. I like her. And just saw Tyler Hilton plays the love interest in the video.

'The Chair' was the George Strait song that I was referring to.
Ms. Swift has also been booked for a 30-minute concert performance with her entire band before the L A Dodgers home opener on April 9th.

People have oviously got her back on this. It's only at #33 on the country charts, but already #93 on the Hot 100.

I like this song, but there are so many better songs in the album. I would have preferred something upbeat or midtempo - especially after 'Tim McGraw.'

How are Taylor's album sales to date? She's doing well, isn't she? Someone who knows, please tell us. Thanks!

[ Yeah like that'll ever happen. Taylor's song sucks, and all the radio people who play her songs don't understand what they mean anyway. Her song already has a video out AND went for adds, and its several spots behind Kellie's! Kellie's just more fun and just way better than Taylor pig nose Swift. Was that last comment even necessary? I think Taylor is beautiful. As far as being several spots behind Kellie's, I just checked and it's 2 spots ABOVE Kellie's.

Actually, Taylor's is moving relatively fast for a newcomer right now. Kellie was moving pretty fast, but she's slowed down recently. And once again, I wish you would lay off of the personal attacks.

34 33 TAYLOR SWIFT Teardrops On My Guit... 2006 Big Machine 696 590 106 5.241
I'd say a spin bullet of over 100 is pretty fast compared to Kellie's 19 spin bullet.

Let's just not forget that Kellie's I Wonder does not have a music video out and Taylor's single does, for quite some time now. Plus, Kellie's not promoting it at all. In the end, I bet I Wonder is going to do better than Teardrops. Its a much more powerful and prettier song.

She performed it on The View and American Idol. I don't know if Taylor has performed "Teardrops" anywhere, but she definitely hasn't performed it on a show with the massive audience that American Idol gets.

I honestly don't think video's do anything for songs being that for one, CMT rarely plays them.

I think that accounts for a lot of promotion. Let's just not forget that Kellie's I Wonder does not have a music video out and Taylor's single does, for quite some time now. I like Taylor's song but I don't think it will outdo Tim Mcgraw.

You know, if you guys could just let things go, instead of responding to EVERYthing someone says, this whole Kellie/Taylor thing would probably die off...
I'm sorry, I usually hate to step into things like this, but damn, this is just REALLY annoying me.

Taylor is selling in the top 100 of I-tunes main chart with "Teardrops On My Guitar" and is easily outpacing most other country songs for sales right now!!! It has enough sales that with the miniumal airplay it is receiving right now it is on the Hot 100 chart. :)

I honestly don't think video's do anything for songs being that for one, CMT rarely plays them. Umm actually it is true, look at CMT compared to GAC. CMT has WAY more different programming than just playing videos. It is limited to videos mostly mornings and overnights, with Top 20 sprinkled in there on thursday's and weekends. Steelo is correct you are wrong. But staying on topic since someone always likes to throw this topic off. I still love this song. Taylor is quickly becoming one of my favorite artists. I wish her nothing but success as he career rolls on.
