Hey I noticed an annoyance recently here in Pulse Music Board and I barely manage to post a few posts today and I keep getting this unresponsive script whenever I try to reply. Firefox browser keeps getting unresponsive for awhile and I had to reboot the computer since closing the program (CTL+ALT+DEL) that way also seems to struggle to close.
Had to use a lightweight K-Meleon portable web browser and that seems to help a bit and this time the unresponsive script dilaog box shows this script:
http:// cdn.static.zdbb.net/js/lzma-worker-min.js:1
I thought for a second someone in the "Empire" thread and the 2014-2015 season thread had a large image that takes forever to load since it happened to me and others before since it was resolved by someone changing the avatar image. So I don't know what is it this time.
EDIT: The script popup also appears whenever I check my Notifications under Profile. I checked to see if other sites and forum sites work properly and so far so good.

I get that error message on some pages using Instagram embeds and/or the 'spoiler' function.

I've seen that Instagram error several times lately as well. Also, things have been really slow/laggy for me lately. Polls take forever to load, some pictures take forever to load, etc. Kurt

Any threads in particular? The only real issue I've noticed (beyond the seemingly-random Instagram errors) is a lot of "problem occurred with this webpage so it has been reloaded" errors while on iOS Safari, but support says a fix for that was deployed earlier today.

OK, I see that too particularly on the second thread (after clicking it, the poll bars were correct immediately, but it took at least twenty seconds for the numbers to be correct, and in the meantime, I couldn't scroll on any of my three Pulse tabs and the GIFs were slow to cycle through frames). I'll see if I can find anything on the support board and chime in there if not.
And if anyone else is noticing similar issues, please log them here and include your browser (e.g. Chrome, Safari, IE) and OS (e.g. Windows 7, iOS, Android).
ETA: Oh, and if anyone can log the wording of the Instagram error if you see it pop up again, that would help as well.

The Polling Booth has been super slow for me, and I've noticed it with bigger threads like What Are You Listening To?, What's New In Your Playlist?, etc. ETA: I'm also using Chrome.

Depending on the number/types of embeds on a given page in the Listening To? thread, slow can often be a given there. For instance the latest page seems to be fine, but as of this posting it's also only four posts deep. Also on Chrome, BTW. Oh, and I was going to type the Instagram error last night when I was on my phone (Mobile Chrome), but when I went into threads I knew had the embed in them it randomly started working fine once again - go figure!

Checked in with ProBoards Support and the Instagram issue is being worked on already. Regardless, thanks for logging the error, trebor. Support suggested the Spotify track of the week was the issue, so that's been removed temporarily - any better on polls, scrolling, etc.? (For what it's worth, I'm using a different theme and am still noticing issues, so I don't think that's the cause.) josh maine Libra

lmao I was just about to ask why the Song of the Week wasn't loading on my computer and now I find out that it's to try to fix the slowdown issues.

Pulling this from RT: I realize my computer is slow but some threads on here really slow it down to the point where it takes nearly a minute to be able to scroll and even then it's really jumpy and choppy. I think someone has an unusually large file size image or something in a signature or a gif that is slowly it down - otherwise I can't think of anything else as there are no embedded videos or anything (and it's happening on this page right now along with random other ones over the last few days). Is it just me? I'm...not entirely sure about this. We have it set so that signature gifs also have a size cap, much like the avatar ones do - I would think that this would truncate the file size as well. ( Kurt, K. - yes/no?) Assuming this to be true, I would have to think there's a script that's gone haywire, somewhere. On the page in question, the abnormally large gif in Coco's post here could, possibly, be playing havoc - but the only thing I know for sure is that gifs...don't usually get posted here of that image size. Obviously that doesn't explain the other instances of slowdown, though. Having said that, when I tried visiting that page earlier today while on my phone...I had the "Desktop" setting turned on. I get about halfway, two-thirds down the page...and Mobile Chrome crashes. I re-open Chrome, and the page re-loads - as the Mobile skin.

It happens on my smartphone too. When I use Taptalk, it's fine because it doesn't show images.

I can make a note of where it happens the next time it does. It's only on one every 10 or 15 pages I load but it doesn't seem to be random as reloading the page doesn't make the slowness go away so there's something on there slowing it down. If it's still happening, I'll edit this post with the thread links.

OK...for those of you using Chrome (I'm sure there are similar solutions in other browsers, but you'd have to look them up - I also presume this is desktop-only), do this to test for me: go to chrome://settings/content, switch to "Do not show any images," then load one of the problematic threads and tell me if it's loading normally. (I presume it is; mine all are.) josh maine Libra Devil Marlena Nylund Chelsea Press 2 trustypepper Glove Slap etc. ( H. the SOTW is temporarily removed, so that's expected behavior)

I'm noticing that too. I disabled the old Vine plugins (that are now redundant because it's built into ProBoards now), but even when I re-enable them, they seem OK. So really I have no idea what's happening, haha. -___-

I am not getting those errors anymore on Chrome or the smartphone. It's likely that something about the plugins was causing the errors. Could be some sort of incompatibility.

I don't remember which threads it was in but I haven't had it happen all night (and I haven't made any changes to anything with my browsers yet).

What happened to the spell check button? I noticed that too. I don't think anyone used it, so if it does help speed, I am okay without that.

I disabled it while I was checking to see if it was the culprit - do any of you actually use it or is your browser's built-in spell check good enough?

I doubt it will help with anything on the speed, but I doubt anyone uses it. I think even Internet Explorer has spell check, so browser one's should be good lol.

I've been getting the Instagram error all day on laptop Chrome. It's indiscriminate - i.e. just any thread with an Instagram embed.
