lmao this has basically been in the 30-25 range the whole summer. i wonder how much longer this can chug along before it makes some type of drastic direction (either up or down). any longer and single #2 might not be out till next year...if there even is going to be a second single.
my vote would have been for "the original high" if it came out in the summer but since that is looking unlikely i would go with "rumors" or "another lonely night".

I think Another Lonely Night and The Original High are in line for singles so it'll just depend which direction they want to go in. For Fall I think ALN makes the most sense because it's kinda moody and darker whereas TOH would work as a single leading into next spring.
My perfect singles list would be
1. Ghost Town (only cuz they did it without asking me LOL) 2. ALN or Underground 3. Things I didn't Say (I think this could be a real sleeper hit) 4. Rumors 5. TOH
yes, I know it's ambitious to want 5 singles but there are so many great songs on this album I'm really hoping we see that happen.

bc his singles take forever to peak, the album isn't selling super strongly, and he is going on tour in january. i hope there is a second single but knowing how weird the music industry can be i wouldnt be surprised if there wasn't a second one. |

I believe there will be a second single. Almost every artist gets one. However, the label's support for the single may be weak if they don't perceive the possibility of good sales for the single or the album.

it seems you're just referring to the U.S. market and not internationally, is that right?
I do agree his songs take forever to peak but that seems to be an even better reason to release more singles. He gets a lot more shelf life from his songs than other artists do. Does a song that comes out and peaks in 3 months really help an album sell?
It seems to me that WB is fully behind this album and that there will be another single, probably a third single too.
Maybe I'm being overly optimistic though. We'll see.

i've been torn over whether they should pull the plug and just release another single but now im leaning more towards letting "ghost town" ride it out until it really starts to tumble. it's almost top 20 and i don't know if adam will be able to get that high again with another single. i wish hot ac was more on board though, his music fits that format so well.
