Beyond amazed this is holding up on any level at this point. At best, the song is in/out of the lower end of iTunes top 100. When it's there, doesn't stay very long. It's just not working even w/ whatever limited radio support it's getting. It's like on day 122 on pop so it's kind of unheard of or at least very rare for a song to be so low on iTunes yet still getting somehow getting radio support even if it's minimal. Can't remember the last time/song this happened to. There are numerous songs free falling yet haven't been out 1/2 as long and are way higher on iTunes. Just surprised it's holding on when radio and the record comany most likely aren't making much money w/ the minimal sales. People are saying they're hearing it more/more on big pop stations but the majority are prob. smaller stations or it's mainly getting late night spins. So...I don't agree w/ those saying this is getting minimal pop radio support lol. You just have to look at other songs on the chart. Kworb has combined iTunes/sales for the following songs for the past week (as of Tuesday). 73 77 93 84 81 83 82 Zedd - Beautiful Now #13 on POP with 29 million AI (estimated sales 13K) #64 BB100 74 78 84 77 76 87 88 Adam Lambert - Ghost Town #23 on POP with 18 million AI (estimated sales 13K) #74 BB100 81 90 104 96 90 97 103 Jason Derulo - Cheyenne #16 on POP with 21 million AI (estimated sales 11K) #78 BB100 I would think the label looks at the BB100 rankings to push a song instead of one version of it on iTunes so they must be doing well enough to continue to push the song. It deserves top 20 at least IMO.

I LOVE this song to death and it's still my JAM but i don't give a fuck about investigating and analyzing and shit like that to guess why radio is ignoring it. Just enjoy the song and appreciate that it's a sizeable hit for Adam whether it's top 20 or top 22 lol !!!

Omg radio is still supporting this and it's not even top 100 on iTunes (currently #114 + #525 should be top 100 combined). He needs to do promo before they drop it like what happened with Tori Kelly's last two singles

He needs to do promo before they drop it like what happened with Tori Kelly's last two singles There's a big difference between this and Tori Kelly's two first singles. Radio didn't jumped on this, the song simply kept climbing at a slow rhythm. Tori Kelly's two first singles were a big faliure of her record label, they pushed hard the songs, they reached top 20 but by the time they decided to promoted to increase the sales, they were dead on radio. I think his label probably move on second single after this start to drop (right now it's resisting and keeps alternating positive and negative updates). Anyway, hopefully the second single will be more radio friendly (i still think Ghost Town was too risky for someone who had not a hit in years) and they do real promo. I think Ghost Town did its job putting him on the map again, but the second song will be now or never for his mainstream career

Now the question becomes when do they release it?

They've already shot the video so they're ready to go when time is right. . But Adams out of the country til the end of the month touring w Queen Id guess second single promo will start sometime in October.

This song refuses to give up. If the positive updates continue GT could make top 20 by the next published chart.
GT- #82 and #313 on iTunes overall. GT has never been discounted. This might be a good time to discount the song at 69Β’

He needs to do more promo for it in the US! At least go top 40 on Hot 100.

What makes offering something at a discount desperate? Pretty much anything and everything on sale to the public goes on sale at some point; that is called good business.

It deserves top 20 at least IMO. One thing is certain, "Ghost Town" is making money for WMG and Adam -- I strongly doubt anyone posting here has a clue how much of that is being reinvested in promotion. GT is the #49 streaming song on Spotify in the world and has been selling all over the world. So this is not just about the US. In the US, iTunes sales are about 15% of the revenue a track generates. WBR is relaunching Adam and the first single was probably planned as part of the investment. They appear to be playing a long game here -- not going for a one-hit wonder. And we know they have the next single ready to go -- already on the radio in South Africa, Poland, UK and a few other countries. *** A label is not very likely to consider the BB Hot 100 rankings when making radio decisions because radio airplay is a very large percentage of the component score used to rank songs on the BB Hot 100. "Ghost Town" is on the Hot 100 because of the radio airplay. *** A radio programmer or consultant might consider iTunes when trying to determine if a song is popular or not -- particularly for a new song. But PDs also look at other factors like streaming media data and callout research. *** "Ghost Town" is a bit unusual but all songs have unique characteristics.

He needs to do more promo for it in the US! At least go top 40 on Hot 100. Adam is headed to South America for the next leg of the Queen + Adam Lambert Tour. So he can't easily do any impactful US Promo and that seems really unlikely for September. Although he will certainly get a lot of press for headlining Rock in Rio -- it probably will be low interest/low reach into the pop music audience and target demo for Adam (solo artist). He'll be back in the US and Europe in October -- and back to promoting TOH.

They requested he make a new mix and sent him the stem pack. Adam has also (re)tweeted it. Maybe they aren't over it

anyone else sick of this song?? I liked this a little bit when it was first released. It didn't take too long before I didn't care for it anymore. It's not that I am sick of it, just lost interest in the song.

I still love it. I hear it on the radio and it's on the playlist in the store (I work at a store) everyday. And I listen to the Steven Redant remix on my phone, iPod, and PC during the week.
