So after x-amount of days/months (even if a song is still climbing on whatever level) it automatically goes recurrent (leaves the CHR chart)?

Yes and no. It it's already experiencing consecutive spin losses over two weeks, is outside the top 10 but inside the top 40 then it will go recurrent after 20 weeks. In Adam's case he will definitely be outside the top 10 at week 20, and he will disappear at that time should the song be losing airplay. If it's still bulleted at week 20 (unlikely at this rate) then it will continue to climb until it peaks.

It's had some daily spin loss but the bullet hasn't actually been negative recently. Last time it had an actual negative bullet was 12 weeks ago. So when it hits 20 weeks won't it actually have to have a negative bullet to go recurrent?

It could still make it. 5SOS should drop below and Skrillex goes recurrent. Platten is dropping like a rock. Calvin Harris just needs to slow down. Also, Hopefully Ambassadors doesn't speed up. Thin chance for top 20 but it's there. Crossing fingers.

I have NO idea what's going on with today's update. The Weeknd pulling a +800? Bieber with a +617? IDK about Taylor, but other songs have also been stunted quite badly in today's update. Calvin looks to be one of them, so with 400~ spins still between Adam and this looks like top 20 could still happen!
EDIT: Okay, I've compared the wrong updates, Weeknd/Bieber/etc. have not had ridiculously huge gains I was just looking at a 2-day update.

Happy to see this made top 20 officially. That's the benefit of being one of those songs that slowly gain....if it lingers around long enough the timing will be right and a bunch of songs above it will go re-current or drop at a faster rate to push it up to a new peak. After the next week or so, this is probably done for good though especially if spin losses begin to increase.

Yes it's nice it hit the Top 20 but only because other songs were either being purged or going recurrent....
I wouldn't say it's that big of an accomplishment.
Any word on the next single?
