I really, really like this. A more proper chorus would have made it even better, but I enjoy the song as is!

Just sounds/feels like even those who like or claim to love this are 'trying' to vs genuinely feeling that way w/out any doubt lol. I'm not a fan but admit he's possibly one of the most unique AI contestants, rejects or whatever. A *lot of it/ the reason he' still around is cause he's obviously smarter than most AI contestants and managed to connect himself to some of the best people in the biz plus basically becoming the new lead singer of *Queen! and getting mainly positive reviews and crowds worldwide are def. factors. I just think his 'musical output' continues to be underwhelming. The only song I can think of that was a bonafide memorable hit was WYWFM. I thought there were other songs he had on previous albums that def. were better than this but were never released and/or too risky for radio (Sleepwalker, Shady) Regardless, whatever he did or didn't do, 6 years later he has 'enough' of a strong dedicated fan-base to keep any kind of hype going. May not be massive but it's quite dedicated. I'm sticking to my prediction. I don't think this will 'flop' (meaning it'll prob. chart..just not sure how high or low) but I think this may end up a front loaded thing but don't hear a song with a long shelf life.

I like this a lot! The guitar pop verses with the club ready chorus is interesting...the chorus sounds like a remix of the song itself. Lyrics are good too. This could be a grower for a lot of people. In terms of Pop Radio success, he's not a staple or a hot new artist so they really have no reason (in their own twisted judgement) to play him so I'm not expecting much other than enjoying the song on my own.

I don't think this will 'flop' (meaning it'll prob. chart..just not sure how high or low) but I think this may end up a front loaded thing but don't hear a song with a long shelf life. Well, i didn't love it at first listen maybe i will change my mind with more listenings, i wouldn't be the first time. Not being in love with a song at first listen is not bad per se. In fact there are some instant catchy songs that end being hated and sometimes songs that are far from being inmediate work well in the long run, that's one of the reasons to have a lable supporting you it's so important Right now, radio presence, even if it's not a hit, will be vital for him. His last era he barely got to number 50 with Better than i know myself and that was all. He has a very loyal and dedicate fanbase, his tours are very successful, and he needs being on radio to totally establish himself. Even if it ends not being a hit, giving him some radio presence will be enough to give him the opportunity to have a hit with another song of the album. It's too soon, but right now his new label seems a lot more commited to make him successful than the last one. Maybe Better than i know myself or Never close our eyes weren't destined to be hits, but with a label really pushing the songs the could be at least top 30 hits, maybe that's not that much, but at least it wouldn't seem like he doesn't have a hit on radio since his first album The song continues to climb at good rhythm on itunes, the more it last and the higher it gets the better

This is pretty good. I don't know if all the pieces fit together that well, particularly the bridge seems to belong to a different song, but ultimately I like it and after one listen, I want to listen again. I think the sparse chorus actually works really well--it's the rest of the song that is going to need to grow on me.

So I listened to this again. If an instrumental + acapella version leaks then it shouldn't be too hard to spice it up a bit. All the materials are already there-- it's just the production through the verses that feel out of place.

Just realizing that this is kind of the House version of Nobody Love. Max is really testing out this hybrid sound idea lately; matching acoustic verses with a dance/breakdown. I think it works a little more fluidly in Nobody Love, but this is a deeper song.

This is pretty good. I don't really like that the whistling does all the heavy lifting here, but that bridge is amazing.

I really love this! The production is hot. I like the fusion of acoustic elements and 90s House. The House parts remind me of the work MK (Marc Kinchen) did during the 90s and now (he has made a huge comeback in recent years). The bassline is totally cut from the same cloth. I love the vocals. I could see this being huge.

This is a great take on the of-the-moment House-Pop hybrid that's been marching through the landscape, but way more on the Deep House side of things. I like that he didn't go for a watered-down instant CHR sound, did something kind of "out there" and made a great track. Trespassing had some songs like that, but never caught on. Here's hoping the rest of the album is as ambitious and quality. I love him for taking a chance. It's the whole point of him switching labels.

The verses are good then the chorus just ruins it. I mean, maybe ruins it is too strong of a word but it certainly kills any momentum the song is building. I am not worried though, has Adam and his team EVER picked a proper lead single? There is surely better on the album.

I kinda like this. The lack of a catchy melody/hook is a problem for radio. Don't see this being big but good luck!

falling on itunes :( down to #41 That surprises me in the US. I thought his very dedicated fan base in the US was big enough to sustain him in the teens-twenties until radio play picked up and the non-dedicated fans started to buy the song. This still doesn't mean the song won't be a moderate or big hit...just a little surprising. Adam and his Queen and European boyfriend/tabloid fixture have helped his star status much more in Europe and Asia than in the US.

I'm sure his hardcore fans in the U.S. have been multi-buying the single and album, but it isn't realistic for for them to prop it up for any length of time and it is another 6 weeks before release! Having said that is has now dropped to #67 in a day, which is a bit surprising. But I think the U.S. and UK markets are a lot more dynamic and demanding and he will have a real challenge to reinvent himself as 'current'.

Did people here really think he could stay in the top 30 for several days? Not me. This is Adam Lambert you guys, not Rihanna or Ariana! I was expecting a top 20 and then expecting for it to drop around #100 within a day, hopefully remaining stable in that zone until promo kicks in or increased radio play. Hope both start to roll out soon, and maybe even some TV spot to help. Crossing fingers

On first listen, I'm kind of disappointed. It's not terrible, but it didn't grab me at all. Then again, his last last album's lead was underwhelming to me as well so I'm not giving my hopes up yet.

He's on the Ellen show next week I believe and then others as yet unspecified. Really hope this one makes it :)
