It's his first #1 overall, not just multi-week.

I still think it should be Charlie Puth feat. Wiz Khalfisawdm. People know this song for the hook, not the rap Well, if that was how things worked... Charli XCX ft. Iggy Azalea - "Fancy" Rihanna ft. Eminem - "Love The Way You Lie" Ke$ha ft. Flo Rida - "Right Round" Kelly Rowland ft. Nelly - "Dilemma" and, most importantly: Mariah Carey ft. Busta Rhymes - "I Know What You Want" :'(

SUAD is now at more than 50% of the two combined versions of SYA on iTunes and still gaining (for the most part). I think it's sure fire for Hot 100 top 5...sure hope it makes it to #1...hopefully that performance will have a bigger impact than the one of Sugar did a few weeks ago lol.

It's his first #1 overall, not just multi-week. But it is his first multi week #1?

Timbaland - "Apologize" Well, the Timbaland ft Onerepublic is an insult to inteligence. Here if you ask someone who sings that song nobody will mention Timbaland. Apologize is an Onerepublic song, and it was a good song before Timbaland

Artist credits are always label politics.
And sometimes they're not even consistent. For example, "La la la" was originally Naughty Boy feat Sam Smith, but then it's Sam Smith feat Naughty Boy on Sam's album.
And often we have no idea how much the lead vs featured artist contributed beyond what we can hear.

As far as i know Sam Smith have writing credits from the song (i suppose way beyond of putting a couple of ehhhs in it). That was one of the cases when the release should use the "with" instead of "featuring" but of course Sam Smith was a nobody when the song was originally released

And as far as I know, Naught Boy was the producer of the song. Its different when its just 2 singers like Pitbull ft Kesha, because neither of them are behind the production.

If the producer wants to be known as an artist and eventually sell an album, he'll be credited first:
David Guetta ft Zedd ft Tiesto ft Martin Garrix ft
Etc.
If he sells his song to an artist he may still require to be credited if he wants the exposure (especially if its a single): Ariana Grande ft Zedd, Rihanna ft Calvin Harris, Flo-Rida ft David Guetta, etc.
If he sells his song and wants to remain anonymous (or has no interested in being credited on that particular song) then it'll remain just the singer credited.
This mostly applies to how EDM artists have always worked, mostly because they dj those songs too. Pop and urban producers have no interest in selling albums or djing.

Back to Back 10+ week runs have only happened twice before if your "prediction" pans out
2005-06 We Belong Together (10 consecutive weeks) - Gold Digger (10 weeks)
