Hopefully Sam Hunt decides to cross House Party over on time this time (although this one is more country influenced so not sure how it would do). #24 on iTunes, dark green

The first two days of "No Sleeep" play will be out of the equation for next week's chart, but it could end up with around 6-7m BDS audience. Hoepfully the combination of streams and sales (though dropping back) will be enough for a Hot 100 entry.

Only a couple of days until Cheerleader is top 10 in airplay, it seems. That was a pretty fast climb.

Are you sure Worth It is gaining on airplay? I literally NEVER hear it on the radio in Los Angeles at all, not on any radio station, I only hear it like once every 2 weeks...

I hear it every 5 minutes on my local pop stations (granted they are in Oklahoma, so the audience probz isn't that high) but it's a huge hit here.

Why do the charts posted above feature slightly different updates if they reffer to the same day?

Why do the charts posted above feature slightly different updates if they reffer to the same day? Mediabase = more accurate numbers Kworb = wider landscape of hits Thanks for the answer, Shane. I don't want to bother, and this has probably been discussed before, but if Mediabase is more accurate, why does it sometimes differ so much from Bilboard? Given its minuscule audience i think Like i can is not doing that bad. It was outside top 600 on itunes when it was released and now it's top 100 and i don't think its audience is bigger than 10m. I think if Sam is able to make some promo he will get another hit

Also, I wonder how much airplay gain "Same Love" will get today

Thanks for the answer, Shane. I don't want to bother, and this has probably been discussed before, but if Mediabase is more accurate, why does it sometimes differ so much from Bilboard? I remember Worth it was #20 on Billboard and still #25 on Medibase. Which one is more accurate? Mediabase and Kworb measure airplay; the numbers you see in this thread are it's AI Yeah, I know. What I meant was that last week Worth it was #25 on Mediabase and #20 on Billboard's Radio chart. Why such a big difference?

Billboard is a business chart though, it measures the most profitable songs based on the 3 different types of criteria (sales, airplay, and streaming) for a 7 day period. It doesn't give extra points nor does it care about songs doing better on a certain format compared to another song doing so-so on two formats and therefore appearing higher on the chart, this is why they have genre charts, so that way people can measure hits however they want to. But Billboard's goal isn't to necessarily pander to, for example, Blake Shelton fans, but rather to show the biggest earning songs over the past week. The way Billboard runs their site is based strictly on the data they get from their sources, where Kworb and Mediabase might have a few different sources than Billboard causing their data to be slightly different. Billboard doesn't "skip steps", it just goes off of what it has.

We're not talking about the Hot 100, we're talking about the Billboard Radio Songs chart, aka this www.billboard.com/charts/radio-songsBut, as I said, I'm not sure why there's a discrepancy there. Felipe is pointing out that there are songs higher on Billboard's Radio Songs chart than they are on Mediabase, and mostly these are country songs. I do think Billboard has a formula for their Radio Songs Chart they same way they do for the Hot 100 - and I think it could potentially be weighted on amount of formats. I think I covered that in my last few sentences though, I don't think it's that necessarily, I just think that the Mediabase numbers might be a bit different than what Billboard is using for their chart data.

I agree - I think Billboard probably has more specific numbers than Mediabase does for their end chart, but it just doesn't make sense why it's mostly the country songs that are lower than Mediabase on Radio Songs, but mostly everything else is in the same position (regardless of the exact number it may or may not have that is different than MB). It might be that their country board has a different lineup for Mediabase and Billboard. The Country forum has mentioned them having different #1s on numerous occasions. (In fact, I think they're going to be different this week too since Carrie is going #1 on Mediabase and not Billboard)

^ I don't think we need three copies of the video on this board. At least it makes the look longer. Man, SYA/BB and the ongoing impact of streaming, really have caused interest to wane in H100.

Man, SYA/BB and the ongoing impact of streaming, really have caused interest to wane in H100. Yeah. Obviously, I'm still interested in following (or I wouldn't be checking this), but there's not much suspense when there might be 1-2 songs cracking the Top 10 (on a "busy" week) and Song X spending its 6th, 7th, 8th, etc. week at No. 1. I always reminisce about the glorious fall of 2010. That said, apparently this is just how people consume music (stream it, anyway), so this is what a more accurate/comprehensive Hot 100 looks like. Less exciting for followers, but better for the industry/Billboard's primary audience.
