That's why Billboard revised its all-time-charts methodology, because comparing one era to another is by no means an apples-to-apples comparison (especially for all the acts racking up a huge number of entries with featurings).

Hmm, wonder where Blank Space is ranked? My guess is that this list only has sales from the 2015 calendar year, and Blank Space's big sales weeks were in late 2014 (calendar year wise) although the December/Early January weeks (in terms of Billboard chart dates) will still count for the 2015 Year-End Hot 100.

Is Shake It Off the longest number one debut song in the top 100? I think so, but most number one debuts only make it to about 20 weeks anyway lol. Though Candle In The Wind 1997 made it to 42, and I'll Be Missing You 33.

Hmm, wonder where Blank Space is ranked? It was at 1.45M YTD as of May 10. Per Kworb, it's been selling somewhere in the vicinity of 14-28K per week since then.

I'm ready for SYA to start falling. I want SUAD to move up but I guess by this point it's too late. Uptown Funk better beat that all time record. And Janet back in the charts makes me happy.

The longest number one song that did not debut there was 8+ minutes for American Pie back in the early 70s ;)

Would "Bad Blood" be as big as it was if the video was not released on BBMA? Was BBMA really that relevant for the song's success? Come one, it's Taylor Swift featuring 100 stars. People would watch it one way or another.

Congrats are in order for Janelle Monae and Jidenna. Her song Yoga cracks the top 100. Glad to see her succeed.
Too bad about All Hands on Deck and Pray to God, though.

one stat that Billboard has not mentioned about See You Again is it's rankings among songs from movies with the most weeks at #1 . i did some checking and it is quite high overall and the longest from this decade.
1 "I Will Always Love You" Whitney Houston (The Bodyguard) 1992 14 weeks 2 "End of the Road" Boyz II Men (Boomerang) 1992 13 weeks 3 "Lose Yourself" Eminem (8 Mile) 2002 12 weeks 4 "Independent Women Part I" Destiny's Child 2000 (Charlie's Angels) 11 weeks 4 "See You Again" Wiz Khalifa ft. Charlie Puth (Furious 7) 2015 11 weeks

Out of randomness, here are some tidbits from 2 years ago, the first set of charts I started following, to show how much things have changed:
July 13, 2013 -A$AP Rocky was not nearly in as much demand, with Wild for The Night stumbling 96-97 with a #80 peak. With Skrillex featured as producer, this was also before his big break with the Jack U project. -Britney Spears' single at the time, Ooh La La, which was a movie tie-in with Smurfs 2, fell 85-92. It would jump a bit with the launch of the music video, but did not break the top 50. -It Goes Like This, Thomas Rhett's more traditional country single, climbs 94-83. It would be a more gradual rise, but it would eventually make the year-end. -Major Lazer was starting out Bubble Butt, moving 95-78. It would miss the top 50 in a controversial recurrency relating to I Love It. -We Own It, the main song for Furious 6 and cocrediting Wiz Khalifa, made a large impact at #16, but quickly crashed, falling 71-75 this week. -Justin Bieber's biggest track of 2013 (that was released in 2013, as opposed to Beauty and a Beat) was #ThatPower, another EDM collab that barely scratched the year-end and only peaked at #17. It fell 61-71 this week. -David Guetta had middling success in 2013, with Play Hard only peaking at #64 at this point, reentering at #99 and Right Now peaking at #50, moving 90-68 this week. -Easton Corbin did have a charting single this year, with All Over the Road moving 66-61. -After A-Team, Ed Sheeran's big single was Lego House, which just missed top 40 and was falling 53-59 this week. -Zac Brown Band's Jump Right In was higher than Loving You Easy is now, moving 65-58, but it ended up missing the top 50. -Jake Owen's Anywhere With You missed the top 40 but did impact the top half, dropping 47-54 this week. -Carrie Underwood's See You Again just barely missed the top 50, peaking at #51 and holding at #52 this week. -Taylor Swift's 22, moving 40-49, was an early sign of Taylor's increasing move towards pop that she would fully transition to for her 1989 record. -Brad Paisley's Beat This Summer, one more for the string of trying-to-be-a-summer-hit-by-duh-invocation songs, moves 50-46. Then again, it didn't end up getting a silly music video like Crushin' It... -Don't Ya by Brett Eldredge had a respectable top 50 run, and is in the similar sound to Lose My Mind. -Unlike Drake's current album, Nothing Was the Same bred multiple mainstream hits, and Started from the Bottom was ending its run 45-44 this week. -Feel This Moment performed surprisingly similarly to Time of Our Lives: a low top 10 peak and a pretty long after-20 life. -B**** Don't Kill My Vibe was Kendrick's second solo hit, going 42-33 this week. To Pimp a Butterfly did spawn "i", but it was much smaller, only lasting 1 week in the zone, and Lamar's big hits have been collabs this year, namely with Taylor Swift and Jidenna. -Wale hit jackpot with a top 20 hit in Bad, while his Album About Nothing singles are struggling, with The Body crashing and The Matrimony ascending very slowly. -Just like now, Luke Bryan was the unbeaten country hit machine, with Crash My Party moving 30-27 after topping at #18; later in the year would come even bigger hit That's My Kind of Night. -Bruno Mars ended the year massively with When I Was Your Man, the last 1 week #1, which was still 20-26 on its 28th week. -Ellie Goulding featured well on I Need Your Love, which would eventually do a top 20; however, cut to 2014 and 15, and its her solo efforts (Love Me Like You Do and Burn) that have done better, with this particular collab (Outside) resulting in decreasing dividends. -Jason Derulo, pre Talk Dirty resurgence, seemed notable with his radio hit The Other Side moving 25-22 this week. -J. Cole also had a major hit with Power Trip; his 2014 Forest Hill Drive songs, similar to Wale, are struggling: Apparently, while it got close, tanked, and Wet Dreamz seems to be slowly ascending if not stalling. -Blake Shelton had a monster with Boys Round Here; the successive True Story singles in 2014 wouldn't even come close to its performance, and Sunshine singles up until Sangria weren't even hits. -Thanks to streaming, Stay became a massive hit up to #3, and it moved 18-19 this week. Can it do the same for the even more controversial BBHMM this year? -Love Somebody was a radio hit and would eventually go top 10 because of it; will This Summer's Gonna Hurt do the same or is it too deficient in streaming/sales? -Mariah Carey and Miguel, who got a major top 20 with #Beautiful, have struggled in 2014 and 2015: Mariah having You're Mine and Infinity stumble after one week, and Miguel being slightly more lucky with 2-week stays for Everyday and Coffee. -Save Rock and Roll did well with Light 'em Up, but Fall Out Boy would top that with the hits off AB/AP, with Centuries making the top 10 and Uma Thurman doing well in sales and seemingly primed to become a hit, having already made the top half. -Zedd broke through the mainstream with Clarity, while his sophomore release did spawn a top 20 but otherwise underwhelmed. -Pitch Perfect had an unlikely top 10 with Cups (When I'm Gone). The filmmakers have specifically stated they don't want to replicate that type of lightning-in-a-bottle, so the more standard pop single, Flashlight, for the sequel has only done decently. -Nate Ruess hit a perfect chord with the mainstream in his duet with P!NK, also being a year-end top 10. However, his more solo effort this year only had a tepid response for his main single Nothing Without Love. -Remember when it was news that Ariana Grande made a top 10? With the sophomore release, a whopping 4 singles have done so and a fifth managed top 15. -Between these 2 years, Selena Gomez has the exact same position: both Good for You and Come & Get It were #9 this week. -Treasure, playing in the same ballpark as Uptown Funk, had a decent top 10 run, but of course not even in the same ballpark. -After the massive Blurred Lines, Robin Thicke has weathered the divorce, the public backlash, the failed album, and now is slowly building up popularity thanks to his feature on the single that debuted 2 years later: I Don't Like It, I Love It.
Some of these shifts in the mainstream are kind of amusing in hindsight.

Some of these shifts in the mainstream are kind of amusing in hindsight. I thought David Guetta was done in the US at that point... 2 years later, "Hey Mama" is a top 10 hit on the Hot 100. But seriously though, did the general public stop caring about his music after "Titanium"? I guess 2012 was the end of the dance-pop craze, but that same year, Calvin Harris got his big breakthrough so... I remember being frustrated by the fact that "She Wolf (Falling to Pieces)" wouldn't even chart on the Hot 100...

Well, "Shot Me Down" and "Bad" weren't exactly US radio-friendly singles. I'm not exactly sure what happened to "Lovers On The Sun" and "Dangerous", though. Both did pretty well internationally. I guess featuring no name Sam Martin vs featuring Nicki Minaj might be the answer... Idk.

Context is important! Context is impportant! -Justin Bieber's biggest track of 2013 (that was released in 2013, as opposed to Beauty and a Beat) was #ThatPower, another EDM collab that barely scratched the year-end and only peaked at #17. It fell 61-71 this week. #ThatPower was just a feature and he's not promoted much since. We still have no idea how Justin will do when he launches his own full era. Wasn't "Play Hard" like the 7th single from its album? #64 is not so bad considering... Drake's not promoting anything from his current album, which he's practically said is side project anyway, so let's not pretend one of the day's biggest rappers is struggling now. Both of their albums debuted at #1. Wale's current single is #4 at Urban and J. Cole's is still in the top 10. They are NOT struggling. The dynamic and composition of the Hot 100 has evolved and urban smashes in general have a hard time charting high.

I can't beliebe Bitch I'm Madonna only peaked at 88. She had half a dozen A-list stars on the video, buzz and mentions in every major publication, and even that isn't enough to get people interested in new Madonna music.

The dynamic and composition of the Hot 100 has evolved and urban smashes in general have a hard time charting high. I was trying to draw a comparison between #ThatPower and Where Are U Now, both EDM collabs that feature Bieber. What surprises me is how much better the latter is doing, especially considering the video has not yet impacted the chart. Fair enough on Guetta, though Hey Mama follows multiple singles off of Listen: Shot Me Down (promo), Bad (promo), Lovers on the Sun, Dangerous, and What I Did for Love. It's just that the US hasn't really clicked with any of the prior singles except for Dangerous this time around, while Nothing But the Beat spawned multiple prior to Play Hard. I'll concede that Drake's current album is more of an side project. It just feels so odd, because some of these tracks (Know Yourself in particular) have the opportunity to go viral if the right single push or radio promotion occurs. Otherwise, it seems the singles are coasting on inertia; once again, in conclusion, not a fair comparison though. When I use the term "struggling", I mean both in terms of overall Hot 100 performance thus conversely mainstream attention (which I suppose you're pointing out as well) and in relation to the previous album's set of singles. Yes, neither Bad or Power Trip ended up with the longevity to really become a smash, but the fact that they reached such a lofty location from mainstream is something the current set can't seem to do, at least at the same pace. It has nothing to do with quality, but is just an observation of how the general public is accepting these artists' works over time.

Posting updates is not anyone's responsibility. No one told either of us to post these daily updates. Contributions on this site is just voluntary. I loved what I'm doing even if it's just copy-paste. Do I need to post all of the songs on kworb's site? I'd rather give them the link if that's the case. How am I copying YOUR style? You're just getting the airplay updates from the LINK I GAVE YOU. I'm doing these airplay updates since February 2014 and you're just the FIRST person to question what I am doing. {Your PM to me} Daniel- I see you posted the Top 75 this morning- I just wanted to let you know I think you posted it in the wrong thread by accident! :) Instead of the 5/16 thread, I think it's supposed to be in 5/23. Just thought I'd let you know. Also, how do you get the Top 75 before it's posted on Kworb, if you don't mind me asking? Really enjoy your posts and love stats. My name is Shane, btw, I'm a fairly new poster here but have been visiting for years. kworb.net/airadio/forum.txtThanks for letting me know. And I noticed that you're also posting these updates when I'm not around and I'm very thankful for that because for mpre than a year it's been me all along and if I forgot it no one would bother to find it lol. One thing I noticed is that you're also posting the +1M updates for old songs. I think you need to omit those since3 those are no longer relevant. Yes, I can agree with that, I just found it a bit fun to see which ones were randomly climbing back up on that particular day And haha anytime!! I really enjoying posting the stats too, so that's no problem. So often these threads get filled with a lot of discussion and banter (rightfully so), but I love the idea of stocking them with as much (relevant) statistic as possible, for present and future sake. The days when we get Mediabase and the Top 75 in there (plus +.500+ or 1mil+ in the Top 250) it's like Pulse heaven lol.. Thanks for the link, I appreciate it :) One more question- I noticed the link is the Top 75; is there anyway to see the Top 250 or all of it with that link? Or is that the extent of it? That's it. I'm just adding the updates of +1M updates for current songs. Gotcha So I guess those are just provided elsewhere at that point? Thanks for helping me understand- like I said, this is something I've inquired about for a while now, and you've been quite a help.
