Also hoping "Lean On" can displace "See You Again" or "Bad Blood" in the top 5 already.

So Watch me is peaking already and Drag me down might fall down a little.

If "Drag Me Down" goes to #1 this week, it would be a one week #1 anyway so The Weeknd would still get there.

That said, even with amazing first week sales and record breaking Spotify streams, I doubt 1D could debut at #1 without the help of high airplay and especially VEVO.

I want "CFMF" to get to #1, but I do think it'll get there eventually, so I'm actually #Team1D for #1 this week. Only because they've come really close before (and tbh, who knows if they'll get another shot at it again), and because it's been a while since a boy band has reached #1.

Also, weirdly, "CFMF" was just made album-only on iTunes. Anyone know what that's about?

Kidding aside, you made an interesting point about the drought of boybands at No. 1. I think the last example would be B2K's "Bump, Bump, Bump" way back in February 2003.

Yeah, I'd love for 1D to get a #1 before they throw in the towel. Also, we'd have an extra #1 for this stagnant year since, as I said, it wouldn't be 1D *or* The Weeknd, but rather 1D *and* The Weeknd.

I really hope that Can't Feel My Face will go to #1 next week. Cheerleader is good also, but after See You Again 12-week reign I don't want to see one song blocking others from #1 spot.

Also as I love Bad Blood I hope it could at least hang aroung 5/6th slots next week(as i know thanks to DMD it can't be #4 anymore).

They performed on "Good Morning America's" Concert series in Central Park today and it was promoted very well.
It was promoted as a fri show when usually during the week the musical entertainer is in the studio with a very small audience watching and they don't sing as many songs.

I think it may be complications due to the revelation of the tracklist this afternoon. If the setlist gets updated (Right now, all the songs are still listed "Track [#]" that aren't revealed) and it's still album only, THEN I'll panic.

In fact, I'm pretty confident my stipulation is correct because Google, which carries the single, still has it available. Buy it now if you want!

I just did a search on itunes and there are no version of CFMF to download. This has to be a glitch in the system. There's no way The Weeknd's label would stop the sales of his biggest single right now

I don't think the damage was significant enough. It was only a few hours during which it would've sold maybe 10k max. I think it had more than a 833 points lead (based on the sale/12 + airplay/10000 +streams/900 formula) to work with.

We will know the total damage by tomorrow. For Fri-Mon, it was around 20% higher than CL. Then for Tuesday, it was around 35% lower. So it lost 10k on Tuesday itself. It remains to be seen how Wednesday & Thursday turn out.

Even if this loss remains 10k, it still could be the deciding factor, as streaming is a big variable. It will be 1500 points ahead with sales+airplay, so streaming gap can't be more than 1.7 millions.
