But just so sad to see Stressed Out is blocked by Justin Bieber in ALL FOUR MATRICS when it finally takes off.
And it's so funny to see that people are NOT relating to songs like "love myself" but instead, "love yourself". Well, think about it, it's funny.

Can Adele's 25 log at least 10 weeks of No.1 in the end of day? Almost certainly. It's at what, 7 now? Considering Panic!'s release next week an 8th should be on the table for week after next. I'm sure it'll pick up at least two more #1 weeks along the way. Jan 8 - Bowie Jan 15 - PATD Jan 22 - Adele Jan 29 - Adele.. or Sia Feb 5 - Coldplay (Superbowl)...Elton John also releases Feb 12 - Could be Adele if she does perform or the AOTY winner or another surprise. Maybe even BOWIE if they do the tribute... ALSO Kanye rumored to be out Feb 11 so that would destroy. Feb 19 - ?? Feb 26 - The 1975 I'd say that's how it goes

THINKIN BOUT YOU Your examples of acts who should make dramatic returns are so... random. Only in Gaga's case there might be some drama involved; she either rebounds a little bit or she doesn't... Rih just needs to get her s**t together and she'll be fine. I doubt there's anyone who believes that Taylor & Bruno won't SMASH w/ their next albums... So... where's the drama? I also don't get what's the big deal w/ Bieber getting another #1... & I don't even like him...

This isn't the album chart thread but are Panic at the Disco really contenders for #1? I also don't see Sia, Coldplay or Elton John doing it either unless Adele really drops a lot.

Well HDD had Panic! set for 125-140,000, as noted in a top 15 post last week. If they go for the high end of that forecast I think they can slip by Adele, who should continue to drop gradually over the next few weeks. As for the rest, yeah it's really up to exactly how Adele holds up. I like how this has turned into some albums prediction thread.

[HUGE PREDICTION] I am almost certain that this will happen right here:The week 2/27/2016 will be the week that "When We Were Young" reaches number 1. It will, or should have Spotify and a video, great airplay, and sales will be good too. Also, with the fact that it is the week of Valentine's. I feel like all of this will happen. Aren't songs like "Love Yourself" and "Stressed Out" posting bigger airplay gains and selling better digitally? What makes you so confident that "WWWY" will hit #1?

Well, people just discuss where people are most active. But, yes, PATD absolutely will be #1. They still have a giant fan base of teens, and as others have said, are easily predicted to exceed 100,000 that week with estimates pushing it towards 140k. Not sure why think Coldplay wouldn't do it? They are performing at the Super Bowl and tend to be very popular. I think this album will really surprise as many people haven't heard it yet since it is still new, so if they do the right performances, the album should soar.

In re: to Coldplay it may depend on what they perform and which songs go over best. I could see a scenario where their older albums benefit more than the new one.

That's probably the case, but it isn't a done deal.
2014:
Bruno Mars
15,000 - week prior 42,000 - week of 81,000 - post bowl
Bruno did pretty good. I could see something similar like this for COldplay

It was still the same usual suspects minus LMFAO, Pitbull and Wiz Khalifa debuting with Black & Yellow. Adele did lead in 11 of the 52 weeks with Katy and Rihanna ringing up 9 and 8 weeks respectively.

Really? They were at their height like 10 years ago. Is it really teens driving their sales now? Yes, I actually saw them at a concert this last summer and it was completely sold out with mostly young teen girls. I was really surprised lol But all of their promo singles on iTunes always do pretty well

Have no idea why Justin Bieber and Adele have such good luck to be still that big. I thought their luck should have run out already Adele can rely on good music Justin is relying on comeback hype which so happens to be supplemented with pop songs that are on trend and are catchy. Bruno can only do so many Weeknd esque Michael Jackson and 80s r&b retro sounds before it becomes too boring. Rihanna is in a rut. Should have never stopped her yearly releases - she exposed her achilles Gaga will probably use the awards as hype for a comeback but her generic and elementary lyrics of her first album, her try hard lyrics of her follow up and whatever artpop was supposed to be just confused her brand...there's an art to reinvention while maintaining a fanbase. Adele continues to be relatable and Bieber stepped up his sound to be more relatable to an adult audience. People are tired of the gimmicks of wacky outfits, rip off sounds of real legends and someone that (we love) but clearly has little to no artistic input and decides to expose her own lack of control over her finances as a resort to getting a catchy phrase/quick lil semi hit single. Team Adele and Bieber. But we won't have to worry...almost all the A listers are releasing this year as they were in between eras in 2015.

Hopefully with all of the big releases expected for 2016, we'll see a higher turnover rate at #1 on the Hot 100

Don't judge me, because I am not an expert of charts, but how do the sales on almost every song stay so consistent? How can Stressed Out be with .2000 and .0900 of Love Yourself for almost a whole week? Isn't there just one hour that Stressed Out just doesn't get as much sales? How can these songs stay consistently good? How does the airplay stay consistent? I don't get it. I mean, like when Hello had those weeks of being #1 on sales, how didn't it just have one week where it got 87k sales or something like that? It feels almost like unreal. Someone explain, please.

Hopefully with all of the big releases expected for 2016, we'll see a higher turnover rate at #1 on the Hot 100 If we do get those big release, I think we will have one artist dominate at #1 for 12 weeks while the others hold on to #2-#5 for a while

Wow, I had no idea people still listened to PATD, specially teens who were basically babies at their peak.

Adele and Bieber both definitely have more #1's coming in the future. Katy and Bruno both have good chances of having a #1 single. Gaga possibly could since her next album is highly anticipated. Rihanna might be able to if the music is good and well received. Britney's days at #1 are most likely behind her unless she pulls off something big and Beyoncé possibly could but she seems more like a big album seller over single sales. Plus we also have surprise hits like "Stressed Out" and I'm sure there will be more to come that might be #1 contenders
