Wow I'm surprised by all of the Charlie Puth hate on here. I've enjoyed his vocals on all three singles. Only song I wasn't a fan of was SYA but that's because radio beat that song to death for me

Troye Sivan, Ellie Goulding and Demi Lovato released their new videos today/yesterday, let's see if it will make an impact. And one question: why Needed Me was the song that exploded after the release of ANTI? I mean, in my opinion there's better songs like Kiss It Better, for example. Why just one song enter/stay on Hot 100, and why this song?

Omg, someone FINALLY heard the big melodic similarity between 7 Years & Bad Day! As soon as I heard the song, I posted that it sounds so much like a certain 2006 #1 song, and then found that no one cares about such similarity. I knew it, cute boys always notice such things faster! Hohoho

Want To Want Me has some very interesting longevity. Pretty odd for a song that wasn't even all that huge overall (it was big, but not huge) to be just outside of top 40 on radio a year later.
Also, Rihanna could jump to #5 tomorrow :O that was fast!

Today Troye is already #54 on iTunes. What's your predictions about the peak of YOUTH on Hot 100?

Apparently, the new video helped Stone Cold immensely. Youth got a bit of a push as well, although any impact on Something in the Way You Move was minimal at best. I like 7 Years better than Bad Day. And I'm getting a 100 Years from Five for Fighting vibe myself.

^ top 10 is honestly iffy for me, too. ellie's singles so far this era aren't her strongest for me... and the album has so many songs with so few hit single-sounding gems that jump out at me. i probably need to listen more cuz i've loved her previous albums.
That said, I agree that SITWYM is >>> single than OMM.

SITWYM just feels like the type of song that would click with general audiences. Wouldn't be surprised if it was #1 on pop radio. Probably won't be her first Hot 100 #1 but then again you never know.

Anyone have any predictions for WWWY this week? Could that new live video posted yesterday help with anything? I'm not sure. Live videos released by anyone other than the label are never a sure thing for Hot 100 streaming points. Hopefully it'll help a little. Sales and airplay didn't show any gains over last week, that's for sure. So downward movement on the H100 this week is likely. Anyone else with some more insight?

And one question: why Needed Me was the song that exploded after the release of ANTI? I mean, in my opinion there's better songs like Kiss It Better, for example. Why just one song enter/stay on Hot 100, and why this song? I don't know. It's a good song but it seems a bit random that it's doing the best. But the same happened with her previous album. Loveeeeeee Song did the best initially iirc, which also seemed random (I know a lot of people like Future, and it's a good song, but she had loads of other good songs and collabs with the likes of Eminem and Chris Brown on the album). Pour It Up overtook after a while and got sent to radio, but Loveeeeeee Song still ended up becoming her biggest album track to date and got a lot of airplay in the end. I wonder if Needed Me will do like Loveeeeeee Song or if it will fade away after a while. It was actually quite funny, since it did arguably better on the Hot 100 than one of her actual singles, Right Now! Also, the band who does 7 Years won't be a one-hit wonder, I'm pretty sure I've seen some of their other songs popping up in various charts this early, which means they will probably get more hits. This happened with people like Lorde, Fetty Wap, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis where they had other songs getting popular when their first hit was smashing. See here: kworb.net/itunes/artist/lukasgraham.htmlTheir song Mama Said in particular is almost top 40 on UK iTunes, top 200 on US iTunes, top 200 on worldwide Spotify. That's a strong sign they'll get another hit imo.

Where will Piece by Piece end up? #1 on iTunes and her performance is everywhere.
Do Facebook video views count towards Hot 100?

Why didn't AI just embed the video on their facebook page? Apparently the fb video has 22 million views (and counting) while the youtube video is only at 100k.

^For some reason Idol didn't put the Youtube video up until after posting it on Facebook (I think they do that with all of their videos, so it would not occur to Idol that they need to embed YT vids for their guest performers' charting purposes). I believe the live performance would count, but it seems like most interested people are going to the FB page so it's a moot point if she's only going to get a few hundred thousand views counted that way.
