I like seeing predictions for top 10, even top 20. But I don't see the point in predicting a song will be at #47 or #84

It's interesting that people are so passionately predicting positions in these threads nowadays. I've been following the Hot 100 since 1994 and honestly couldn't care less which song is #5, 6 or 7 each week because it's all about the big picture. It doesn't really make a song a smaller hit if peaks at #7 instead of #6. I know, right? It puzzles me when someone says "I don't want this song to peak at #9 because it clearly deserves to peak at #6."

A year ago, Mark G was having a meltdown. Memories. :'(
Angel and Angel Of the Morning both in the top five exactly 20 years apart.
That 1986 list is amazing!
That 1976 list is forgettable, outside of Queen.

Wow! Panda is really coming for that #1.... next week it should be #3
1. 7 Years- 110-95-18 = 36.7k 2. Work - 50-100-24 = 35.5k 3. Panda- 75-30-27 = 33.8k 4. NO - 110-85-12 = 30.7K
And the week after that, it will be in close fight for #1
1/2 7 Years - 100-100-18 = 36.1k 1/2 Panda - 80-35-28 = 35.7k

I guess every time around this year there's a left field hip hop hit -- last year it was Trap Queen and now its Panda.

I still don't get what exactly about this song is so trendy? Is it from the "panda panda panda" part? Is it from the guy in the back yelling and making gun sounds? Is it because of the catchiness? I don't get it

I don't get it I'm pretty sure is the beat and the fact that the guy sounds like Future. Also, being a Vine meme helps a lot, too.

It's not your prediction. But I disagree with his-and this will be Work's last week at #1-7 Years will take over, then Panda, then (maybe) NΓ So make your own prediction. The thing with predictions is that nobody is right when the prediction is made because it's a guess on something that hasn't happened yet. Your guess is as good as anyone else's and it's rude to tell people they're wrong when you could just as easily make your own prediction and let time dictate who's right or wrong.

I think I have predictions above! All the bantering aside, let me reiterate I admitted I didn't put much thought into the prediction cuz I was too lazy to calculate the points (part of the reason I never did one before!), so it's not a very serious prediction. Geesh, didn't mean to cause any drama!... Though in all fairness, I realize I probably should have put Panda in the top 10.

If Panda hits the Top 3 or even #1, it would be the weirdest thing to ever happen to the Billboard Hot 100 since "Take Me to Church" peaked at #2.
