so next week this torture should finally be over omg so melodramatic "Work" still feels new to me. It's hard to believe like it's been #1 for nine weeks already!

I for one am extremely happy at this top 10: Work and Panda are ahead of 7 Years & it probably won't get to #1, Work From Home is going up, and Me, Myself & I stayed in the Top 10.

Cake By The Ocean's run reminds me a lot of Chandelier and Boom Clap, hovering in the 12-8 range, going in and out of the top 10, for a long stretch: Cake by the Ocean 11-10-9-10-9-9-9-11-12-9 Chandelier 11-9-9-8-9-8-9-10-11-9-12 Boom Clap 11-10-11-12-10-11-10-8-11 There's also "Don't" by Ed Sheeran which has a chart performance like this: 13-10-11-9-12-11-10-17 Not similar enough

"Feels like" is not an objective term. It varies from person to person, so there's no need to correct me (just as I'll refrain from correcting you).

That's like almost the same kinda statement, except with 2 words that are opposite (new and old).

Since Mark G. brought up this song, here's how "Where Are U Now" performed on the Hot 100:

Maybe it'll go even higher

Is this seriously going to be the trend for these threads for the next few weeks? Anyway, I'm hoping Don't Let Me Down managed to get to the top 20 this week! Doing great in all areas right now, hoping for maybe top 10 next week

Doing great in all areas right now, hoping for maybe top 10 next week I hope not (for the former). I'll do my part not to engage in off-topic discussions (I admit I sparked up a couple this time around unknowingly but I'll be more careful)

It doesn't make her any better than The Beatles, though, Who said it did? Why the insecurity? Anyway, so we all know the huge news for this week's chart. I'm anxiously awaiting all the articles about Bieber breaking the record! Talk of the industry it must be right now. Reloading Billboard and Rolling Stone rn. The wait....!

OK, I'll say it:
In this statistic Rihanna > The Beatles

I know that if Work will be not number one by next week or coming few weeks, then probably either WFH, 7 Years, ITAPII or surprised/future singles coming to hit number one. If Work will stay number one for tenth week, then probably will be this year's spring number one hit and by summer, it will end up by future/surprised singles like Ariana Grande, Meghan Trainor, etc. I predicted that the future singles that potentially Top 10 or Top 5 or number one by next long weeks (by this year's summer, this year's fall or this year's winter) are really come from new international viral video/s (like "Gangnam Style" and "The Fox") and/or from the new dance craze/s comes from Vine (for example, in 2015, it's "Watch Me") or non-Vine.

I have no clue who is Desiigner yet but Panda is hot and deserves the top more than 7 Years and No and I hope it will be that way next week Rihanna, stop working Hoping for ITAPII and WFH to reach top5 and NFY and DLMD to reach top10

Now at least when people talk about the "Starships Record" the response can be to go "Love Yourself" ;) People will most likely stop talking about the record now that Justin Bieber holds it instead of Nicki Minaj.

Starships record: Most consecutive weeks in the top 10 after debuting there, without reaching #1. Wonder when it'll be broken. I have no idea where to check chart runs, but I remember Circus having a similar run. lol I can't believe she passed The Beatles with such an awful-sounding song. But her name brand along with Drake's helped her get there, which lessens the significance of that milestone. It's basically an empty sex song where she repeats the same word over and over and sings inaudibly. It doesn't make her any better than The Beatles, though, especially with the difference of how music was consumed. I really hope this torture ends next week. "Panda" is no masterpiece, but it's still much better than "Work". If this ends up being the #1 song of the year, I'm prepared to call this a bad year for popular music. Work is Rihanna's best single in my opinion (not counting features, because Live Your Life is better imo).

That and Where Have You Been are two of my favorite Rihanna songs. -- I don't want Work to have any more weeks at #1 so she can have songs that have had 1-7, 9-10 weeks on top. Hope NM can get 8 weeks (that's if it goes #1)!
