Umbrella is better than all of those IMO. Good old middle school days...I think it might even be my all-time favorite song by a female artist tbh. I miss the Rihanna of 2005-2008 :(

SOS and Pon De Replay are pretty damn fire too. I also loved Don't Stop The Music and I'm a bit upset that DSTM and PDR didn't hit #1 :(

Starships record: Most consecutive weeks in the top 10 after debuting there, without reaching #1. Wonder when it'll be broken. I have no idea where to check chart runs, but I remember Circus having a similar run. It seems like we are just making random records for the hell of it.

The fumes.
Work is not going to collapse on the Hot 100 because of streaming. It might actually challenge Love Yourself for most weeks in Top 10

Well... this week's thread is on pace to being smaller than the past few threads, so we're making progress on getting things here back to normal. And I was wrong.

I think so, but it's still disappointing since it was her first big hit IIRC The fumes. Work is not going to collapse on the Hot 100 because of streaming. It might actually challenge Love Yourself for most weeks in Top 10 Watch Me is still doing quite well on streaming but as you can see it hasn't been in the Hot 100 top 50 in a while. Panda will surely dethrone it on streaming next week (if it hasn't already this week) so that streaming is not quite going to keep it alive when it's utterly collapsing in sales and airplay. I think Work will have a similar run to See You Again last year (that got 6 more weeks in the top 10 after it was no longer #1). Work's streaming numbers are decreasing, though not by a huge amount every week, but at this rate it will be at less than 15M weekly streams probably by June. According to Kworb it's barely in the top 5 worldwide most viewed videos on YouTube. It's collapsing at a rate at which one wouldn't say it's going to have longevity. The reason it was #1 for so long was because it had a very high peak (I think in weeks 3 and 4 it was at almost double the points of the runner-up song?). It'll be lucky to get top 5 on the year-end chart at this rate (and broccoli's predictions here can confirm this)

But Umbrella is not only joint third either Which is why weeks at #1 aren't necessarily indicative of one's biggest hits. It's all relative to what else is on any given H100 during any given week. All #1s are definitely not created equal. I'm curious to see how long it can hang around on the H100 - as that will tell more of the story in terms of how big it is compared to some of her others. Agree. Look at Maroon Five's One More Night which spent a lot of weeks at #1 but still not considered one of the band's signature hits. Britney had a string of #1s after her career comeback a few years ago but Toxic which peaked at #9 is still considered the bigger hit (or at least more memorable) than those songs. It's really all just relative although I do Work will be remembered well as one of Rihanna's big hits in the long run

I have no clue who is Desiigner yet but Panda is hot and deserves the top more than 7 Years and No and I hope it will be that way next week Rihanna, stop working Hoping for ITAPII and WFH to reach top5 and NFY and DLMD to reach top10 Desiigner is a teenager who thinks some car looks like a panda. (The reason the song is called Panda). ITAPII has a shot to be the one to dethrone Desiigner. Maybe. WFH is disgraceful, just get lost WFH. NFY and DLMD and great songs that will assumibly peak very high (Top 3) on the Hot 100! Now I got 25 posts on the thread. I believe a Mike Milestone.

I can't believe that work is still number 1, despite being only 13 on digital songs. I thought billboard gave digital sales more strength in their formula.

Damn, I didn't know itisravi posted 22 posts in this thread. It feels like he only posted like 5 or 10. Oh wait, "feels like" is not an objective term. SORRY! Just for the record, your comment felt like you were being a smart ass regarding how old Work actually is, which is probably why allow that pointed out that his own comment was subjective, not objective.

They did -- but Work's streaming has been so overwhelmingly strong, and the challengers have been relatively weak, that it's been enough for it to have a long run.

Kinda expected Work to stay at number one, but I'm pretty sure it's number one run is gonna be over next week. Then again I don't really care for Panda or 7 Years one bit so I'd rather let Work sit there. On to the other songs, NO best reach number 2 at the very least. Pillowtalk can GTFO of the top ten and make room for DW or NFY. Ibiza can rise but I think it's not gonna surpass the top 4 for awhile. WFH needs to get top 5 Love Yourself can GTFO as well CBTO is nice so I'm fine with it returning Me, Myself, & I can GTFO now, it burned, plus Grace & G-Eazy's You Don't Own Me can replace it.
Hopes: Close hopefully gets to the top 20 soon Never Be Like You pulls a chart run similar to Roses Fast Car hopefully returns Wild Things makes top 40 Team rises Piece By Piece rises You Don't Own Me debuts Company rises Halsey's Castle by some rare chance debuts due to the sales increase Heartbeat somehow lives on Death to Sorry, it is officially starting to annoy me since it's still a mega sized radio song.

Points estimates for Top 3 1. Work - 52-97-26.0 = 37,150 2. Panda - 87-34-28.5 = 36,800 3. 7 Years - 101-107-17.7 = 36,700 Pretty close race indeed....... With Work sputtering in the distance (I think it's losing traction in sales and maybe streaming at least), next week should probably be a two song fight for the top.

In nearly a decade of viewing the Hot 100 threads, I don't think I've EVER witnessed a chain as tragic as the recent several.

We Belong Together was even lower than that (like 18 or something) at some point during its last couple of weeks at #1 on the Hot 100. But that was in a different chart era though
