So the top 3 is gonna be Work, Panda and 7 Years for a while..
I wish we can have a much better top 3.. like in the beginning of 2015, we had Blank Space, Take Me to Church and Uptown Funk occupying top 3 spot for a few weeks, and it's probably the best top 3 this decade, or even the best top 3 of BILLBOARD HISTORY.
So far 2016 is not bad, but lacks a few really excellent songs to smash and save the day

December 2013, The Monster, Timber and Counting Stars, and a few weeks later, Dark Horse, Timber and Counting Stars. I never liked Uptown Funk or TMTC. yeah, I liked those three more as well (but mostly because Blank Space got annoying for me over time). My favorite top three this decade was probably Blurred Lines, Get Lucky and Radioactive (shame the latter two never reached #1...) but then again, it is all subjective, which is a concept that...ahem...*certain people here* (not referring to you or TBY) don't seem to be able to grasp, even though it's not a difficult concept to grasp at all. |

All excellent songs right there. what about summer 2013 (BL, GL, Radioactive)? At the very least one of my top 5 favorite top 3's. I still think the one TBY posted is better though. |

I like those top 3, but they're not anywhere near the best top 3 in history, I don't even think they're the best this decade. To me other than "Work", I don't really find the other two songs that bad. But this hasn't been a great year for popular music so far in my opinion (is hasn't been bad either, but very mediocre in terms of charting songs). We'll see what happens the rest of the year. |

Anyways: It will be a shock to people who don't view this thread that Panda will be #1. I think 7 Years does have a 35% chance of #1 this week (you never know), but it is looking best for Desiigner. Plus, it wins 2/3 categories (Sales, Streaming) out of the 3. But no YouTube video and little AirPlay should be a disadvantage. If he is #1, the non-American streak will finally end. If Lukas is #1, it continues. And y'all know about Work. |
