ITAPII is putting up some great gains! This gives me hope that it will be top 5 on the Hot 100 this week!!! :) (It could even get a #3 peak at this rate) Like I said, One Dance will be a huge hit. At least Purple Rain might chart somewhere on the Hot 100 this week. Purple Rain will probably not be #1 next week. It's going on a downward slope and it seems that sales won't reach 400k. Beyonce's release is also a reason. |

Beyonce's release is also a reason. Why does "PR" being on a downward slope mean it won't reach 400k? Do you know that it hasn't already sold 400k? |

I think too much attention is given to those numbers (and color changes) on the kworb site.
Purple Rain will chart this week(5/7) it will chart next week (5/14) possibly even 5/21
Unless the radio tributes that are happening turn one of the Prince songs into a current hit, that is about all that can be expected.

Yes, its sales for this week could still be 400k...It was only number one for 3 days but it had a massive lead. And given how much his albums and singles sold on Thursday alone, it's not impossible that it sold 300k just from Friday to Sunday. |

Plus given its Beyonce, it's gonna be loaded with a lot of support mainly in the sales field As for Purple Rain, it has to make the top 5, but that small shot at number 1 has kinda been crushed since it is no longer at number one on iTunes, how it fares for the rest of the week should make it certain whether or not it will make the top 5. |

Whoa there, we don't know well Beyonce's sales are gonna hold up over the next few days, or even where they're gonna peak. Right now it has a pretty big uphill battle to overcome in three and a half days. If Formation manages to push One Dance back down to a 1.35/0.15-0.17 ratio (which was Purple Rain's peak on Friday, so around 1.0/0.11-0.12 since neither has a second version charting) on the pop bars, then I'll be worried. Also, it looks like Beyonce's limiting the streaming, and it's got nowhere near enough points on radio to be a huge threat (only 24 million AI and slipping), so neither of them are strong when it comes to the other 2 metrics. Beyonce's gonna need the same 400k+ sales to reach the top spot that Prince needs, which is a lot for only a couple days.

"PR" had a huge overall lead in sales for 3 days once all versions were combined, so just because 1 version is now #2 doesn't mean its shot at #1 has been crushed. What if it sold 300k in the first 3 days of the chart week? Plus "PR" is #2, #23, and #74 at iTunes. It could still be outselling "Formation" overall at this point. |

Just saw an ad of that of the top 10 show on Billboard's Facebook page, and it said there's a new #1. Looks like Panda will be #1, otherwise what's the point of Desiigner being there? Either way, I'm just glad "Work" is finally out of the top spot, thank goodness.
