I know it's just a minor thing, but can we all agree to wait until the chart for the previous week (30/4) to be posted before posting the next week lol. It just makes the chart on Tuesday feel.. I don't know, redundant. I prefer when Daniel used to open these threads with Tuesday's/Thursday's radio update.

It used to be an unwritten rule that to open the Hot 100 thread you needed some relevant information pertaining to that chart (airplay updates or actual relevant industry info pertaining to the chart).
Now, random comments are kicking off each thread.
This is a reason I am losing interest in posting the charts on Tuesday. I post the charts almost the moment they go online but by then they become an afterthought.

I only started because I didn't know if anyone else was gonna start, and they are usually started before the H100 highlights is even released Edit: but I totally understand where you are coming from. Yea the thread should always start with the 1st day's airplay update. That makes the most sense.
Panda and 7 Years are awful. I'd rather have Riahnna get her 10th.

This is probably one of the weakest Hot 100 period in a long time, not speaking of quality because that's subjective and arguing about it will be running in circles, but in terms of the strength of the songs. The #1 in airplay is still Love Yourself which is on its way out of the top 10. Work stays at #1 despite weakening sales and airplay but with no other stronger contender to challenge it (and strong streaming), it managed to stay at #1 this long. Work's #1 run reminded me of Maroon Five's One More Night which was also #1 for 9 weeks, a song which I felt got lucky that there were no other stronger songs to dislodge it at the time (Gangnam Style was just too weak in airplay despite being a pop culture sensation at that time)
I hope we can have a competitive and exciting chart coming soon.
