#5 Fifth Harmony feat. Ty Dolla $ign - Work From Home (#1 on CHR, first #1 by girl group in nearly 10 years #legends) I thought "icon" was the most overused word on boards like thee, but after the last few days I'm starting to think it's "legend." "Slay" is also used a lot (and yes I'm guilty of using this word a lot myself)

Can someone explain to me how PILLOWTALK is still in the top 10? When in doubt, think streams. I know with "Pillowtalk" its airplay is still really high, but it also still has decent streaming. Meanwhile "Work" is below it in sales and airplay, but it's right above it on the Hot 100 because it still has large streaming. Streams are the hardest component for us to figure out, so if you're ever confused by a song's placement, just chalk it up to streaming.

very upset Drake went back to number 1 and Panda move back up both those songs aren't even on my personal chart because I don't like them. I hope next week's chart is so much better with Pink Adele and hopefully Justin Timberlake will move back up.

Keep going, Cheap Thrills! The USA is like the only country in which it hasn't reached the top 10.

We may as well appreciate Justin slipping from #1 right now, because I have a feeling it's going back next week and staying there for a verrrrry long time.

I want Ariana, Nick + Tove Lo and P!NK to hit the top 10 next week.. lol. Will only happen if Rihanna, Zayn and Mike can fall out, and then need Adele not to get there Oh well.

I want Ariana and Adele to top 10 next week, so Work has to make room and unfortunately Pillowtalk as well

Are we thinking Love Yourself stayed at #11?

Or Needed Me can fall out instead of Mike (which is more likely to happen) But yes, I also want Ari, Nick/Tove, and P!nk to get top 10. But mostly Nick and Tove Lo. They both need another top 10 hit, and Close is great song!

Are we thinking Love Yourself stayed at #11? Yeah. Then Stressed Out and My House would occupy #15 and #16 (not sure which one would get which position though)

Pillowtalk's longevity still surprises me. I wonder if Like I Would will be able to perform similarly on the Hot 100.

That is an approximation of how PILLOWTALK is still in the top 10, AP . It's all numbers and math. thank goodness ITAPII is still that far ahead of Work. When they said Work was #8 and ITAPII was #7 I was pretty appalled and worried about which one falls out first. If there's a virtual tie between 8 and 10, does that mean Work might be out of the top ten next week? (Say if Ariana or Adele hit the top ten next week) ITAPII will stay in Top-10 for a few more weeks. Both or one of PT/Work may drop out of Top-10 next week.

They both need another top 10 hit, and Close is great song! I doubt all three of them can muster 22k points (needed for going above Needed Me)....so at least one of them won't make it. Very early estimates: Close - 95-35-8.0 = 20,700 JLF - 90-55-4.0 = 18,800 SML - 85-25-6.0 = 17,000 Both Work/PT are looking to get around 19k points.... so Close should make it, JLF is going to be very close and SML will probably fall short unless it has higher streaming. This is all very early of course. Will post detailed predictions on Friday.

I'd just like to point out a few weeks ago we discussed if any artists can still move 200k single sales for two different weeks even though there's a sales decline
Outside of Adele and Taylor people were unsure . I suggested Katy and Justin timberlake and I remember a person or two doubting Justin could/would and hey this week he managed slightly over 200k so I was right :')

George's image was to blame. Well before the 1998 scandal, his songs became moody, dark and introspective. His upbeats were disco flavored (not in line with '90s US radio dance trends). He could have helped image-wise in 1990 and 1991 by appearing in videos, but the damage was done. It's like, why did Phil Collins dry up? Both were seen by radio programmers as 'belonging' more to the Big 80s, than the alternative 90s. Is Phil Collins still making music tho? I just always assumed he just got too old (for himself) and just quit. But he was one of my favorite staples for sure. Still is. As for George Michael, he just turned into a mid-90's cheesy dance artist, kinda like Cher. He just stopped connecting to the GP. I'm not surprised about that at all. He went full-on gay and it just turned everyone off.
