WEEK 39 of 2016 (August 27, 2016)Sorry for the later chart update today, but I was busy earlier. Anyway, here’s this week’s video: Overview:TOP 10: Heathens manages to stay at the top for yet another week tying Stressed Out for 8 weeks at #1, only behind The Hills. But, the two songs at #2 and #3 are very close behind it so a 9th week is unlikely. Hymn For The Weekend moves up 3-2 to reach a new peak; it almost went #1 this week but it was also almost beaten to the #2 spot by Closer. The Chainsmokers attain their highest peak moving up 4-3 with a great shot at topping the chart in the near future. Kids blasts 11-4 having received significant help from the release of its music video. This may be the single’s peak. This Girl stays at #5 for a third week and has actually lost its bullet already so it may not have the run I had anticipated, but there is still plenty of time for a comeback. Ride drops 2-6 mostly due to all the songs that are currently blowing up on my chart. Currently, another one of these is Cold Water which is still at #7 and only gained a small amount of points from last week. It definitely doesn’t look like it’ll be going top 3, but top 5 still seems plausible. Sucker For Pain falls 6-8 and The Sound Of Silence remains at the #9 spot. The second new top 10 entry this week is Bang Bang by Green Day which zooms 68-10. It is a fantastic returning single for the band and I’m sure it will continue to rise in the following weeks. CHALLENGERS FOR NEXT WEEK’S #1:Heathens (9th week?), Hymn For The Weekend, Closer GREATEST GAINS: 1. Bang Bang (+58) [68-10] 2. A Head Full Of Dreams (+42) [99-57] 3. Gangsta (+26) [73-47] 3. Sit Still, Look Pretty (+26) [87-61] 5. In The Name Of Love (+20) [60-40] GREATEST LOSSES:1. Make Me… (-30) [35-65] 2. Are We Ready? (Wreck) (-21) [61-82] 3. Colors (-20) [69-89] 4. Too Good (-17) [45-62] 5. One Dance (-16) [25-41] 5. Low Life (-16) [57-73] NOTABLE NEW PEAKS:- Good Grief by Bastille makes another small gain (16-14) as it inches towards the top 10.
- In a similar realm, Let Me Love You moves up 19-16 with the potential to possibly become a bigger hit than Cold Water.
- Final Song and Fake It both enter the top 20.
- In The Name Of Love jumps 60-40 to become Bebe Rexha’s second top 40 hit and Martin Garrix’s first.
- Toothbrush, Gangsta, and Tears all make significant leaps although only the two last mentioned seem to be en route to go further.
- Coldplay’s next single, A Head Full Of Dreams, is the week’s second greatest position gainer moving up 99-57.
THE DEBUTS:
- Only 5 debuts this week and none seem to be too noteworthy.
- The Hot Shot Debut was Go Robot by Red Hot Chili Peppers (72) as it is their second single. I am still unsure as to whether or not this will be a sizeable hit.
- Kamikaze by MØ makes a very late debut due to me not really liking the song when it was first released, but I do know that I'm listening to more of the artist's content.
THE DROP-OUTS:- Another week with only one recurrent dropout: Lush Life. I really hoped this would be a hit in the US and that’s why I waited to chart this one higher. However, in the process it sadly burned out on me which is notable by its disappointing #38 peak. It may still have achieved enough points to reach the year-end chart though.

Heathens 8 weeks at #1!! :) Sad that breaking the record won't be likely... but still, 8 weeks is awesome for that song! Excited for the battle for #1 next week! I always liked Hymn For The Weekend and Closer is really growing on me! Either of them reaching #1 would be awesome :) Treat You Better still making new peaks! Toothbrush enters top 50! Huge jump by Sit Still, Look Pretty!! And Starving too! Peter Pan also rising despite country being a minority! Awesome chart!!

WEEK 40 of 2016 (September 3, 2016)Welcome back, everyone! Today’s chart features a long-awaited new #1, but not too many other interesting moves. A lot of songs are dropping points overall at the moment causing songs with tons of longevity to rise despite staying even on points, and there were only 3 debuts. Anyway, video is down below. Hope you guys like the new video titles layout: Overview:TOP 10: Heathens has finally been dethroned by Hymn For The Weekend, which moves up to the top in its 41st week! It also had huge gains in overall points (up a massive 35%). It now leads over surprise #2 Kids. The OneRepublic follow-up single moves up 4-2 gaining significantly though with a slim chance of reaching the #1 spot as Hymn For The Weekend now holds a 26% lead! Kids should still hold its top 5 placement a lot longer than Wherever I Go, which recorded a mere 2 weeks in the top 10. Heathens, only just edged out for the #2 spot, moves down 1-3. It actually gained a small amount of points, yet moved down 2 positions. Disappointment arrives for Closer which recedes 3-4 after I had named it a challenger for #1 last week. Unfortunately, its already growing old to me possibly due to how generic it is. We will see if it recovers but it did lose a lot of points this week and is not at all close to the top 3. This Girl is in a similar situation to Closer as it again loses points and remains at #5 for a fourth week straight. Cold Water is also slowing down though it did move up 7-6 and is very close to This Girl in points. Let Me Love You seems to be growing on me more now and I think that will be the bigger of the two hits in the end. Bang Bang, on the other hand, boosts 10-7 and sets its sights on easily making the top 5 next week, possibly even surpassing Closer for #4. Further down Sucker For Pain stays at #8, Ride falls 6-9, and The Sound Of Silence still holds on to its top 10 ranking at #10. GREATEST GAINS: 1. Perfect Strangers (+23) [90-67] 2. Go Robot (+20) [72-52] 3. Bacon (+20) [96-76] 4. A Head Full Of Dreams (+18) [57-39] 5. Sit Still, Look Pretty (+18) [61-43] GREATEST LOSSES: 1. Too Good (-18) [62-80] 2. Girls Like (-17) [74-91] 3. Brand New (-15) [66-81] 3. Are We Ready? (Wreck) (-15) [82-97] 5. Low Life (-14) [73-87] NOTABLE NEW PEAKS: - You & Me, Let Me Love You, and Good Grief are all lining up to enter the top 10. Of the three, LMLY has the greatest chance of doing it next week.
- I Hate U, I Love U finally reaches a new peak moving up 18-15. I doubt it'll go up much further but it should continue to have solid longevity.
- Kehlani gets her first top 40 hit with Gangsta. A Head Full Of Dreams and Drifting also reach the top 40.
- Sit Still, Look Pretty and Cruel move up quite a lot. Both are looking to be great hits.
THE DEBUTS: - The hot shot debut this week is Ariana Grande's Side To Side. Due to the release of its MV it has had a pretty great debut (56) and looks to have a good chart run in the future.
- Still unsure about the trajectories of Zara Larsson's Ain't My Fault and Rihanna's Love On The Brain.
THE DROP-OUTS: - Two recurrent dropouts this week: One Dance and Jungle.
- Jungle had a decent run but there's not much to mention about it. It probably won't make the year-end chart.
- One Dance had a solid run in the top 10 (I mean nothing like on the BB Hot 100 but still). However, it plummeted after it got old way too fast due to radio overplaying it resulting in it only charting 21 weeks. This has happened previously with many songs such as My House, Cheerleader, Honey I'm Good, and I Took A Pill In Ibiza. Also, many of you will be happy that since One Dance dropped out this week it did not pass I Took A Pill In Ibiza on my year-end chart. ITAPII has a small chance at reaching #10 there.

Nice list! Is this list only calculated by personal preference? Yeah, I don't really have any exact method converting the times I listen to a song or so... like some others may have. It's just based on what my favorites are for the week combined with what may be popular at the time on radio as I often listen to music there, or Billboard or here since that's where I usually find new songs.

WEEK 41 of 2016 (September 10, 2016)
Welcome back to my chart! This time the top 10 features a strong debut and some unexpected downfalls! Anyway, video is down below. I think SSLP has a MV now, but I didn’t realize it earlier oh well : Overview:TOP 10: Hymn For The Weekend rules the chart once again and manages to still bullet this week (up 6% overall points). Behind it, Kids sits still at #2 another week though gaining a bit on Hymn For The Weekend. I’m not sure if it’ll be able to catch it in time (HFTW’s lead has shrunk from 26% to 18%). The Greatest, by Sia featuring Kendrick Lamar debuts at #3 this week; the highest debut in the chart’s history (well Viva La Vida “debuted” at #1 following the Super Bowl, but I’m not going to count that). The main reason why songs don’t tend to debut in the top 10 is that, recently, I start charting them a day after their Friday iTunes release, which doesn’t leave much room for them to grow on me. This causes this second week movement in which songs will shoot up (i.e. 7 Years 99-6, Heathens 22-2, Dark Necessities 15-5, Sucker For Pain 15-1, Wherever I Go 18-1). Heathens falls 3-4, although it does gain again in overall points. The thing is that many of Heathens’ weeks were probably just “weak” weeks in terms of there being a lack of stronger hits. A significant gap in chart points exists to this week’s #5, Bang Bang. Green Day’s current single hits the top 5 (7-5) looking to continue its upward movement in the following weeks. Sucker For Pain is manages to rebound 8-6 despite not really gaining or losing chart points. There were just sudden drops from the songs right ahead of it this week. This Girl recedes 5-7 after failing to surpass its #5 peak position where it remained for 4 weeks. Not sure if this is done yet, but it is sort of burning on me although not nearly as bad as #8 is. Closer takes a large drop 4-8 and is clearly not turning out to be the hit I expected it to; it’s just burning on me terribly at the moment and may even begin to sound annoying eventually. At #9, Bastille attain their first top 10 hit with Good Grief. I suspect this one will stay a while and maybe even become another Way Down We Go hovering between the mid to high top 10 area. Lastly, DJ Snake’s Let Me Love You moves up 12-10 to become the artist’s third top 10 hit after You Know You Like It and Middle. GREATEST GAINS: 1. Gold (+19) [53-34] 2. Alone (+17) [86-69] 3. Side To Side (+14) [56-42] 4. Too Good (+12) [80-68] 4. Roll Up (+12) [73-61] GREATEST LOSSES: 1. Night Riders (-20) [60-80] 2. Purple Lamborghini (-15) [31-46] 2. Worship (-15) [61-76] 4. All In My Head (Flex) (-14) [41-55] 4. No Money (-14) [69-83] NOTABLE NEW PEAKS: - I Hate U, I Love U moves up 15-14 to set a new peak, yet again. I didn't this would even still be around after it started it collapsed on my chart, suddenly, weeks ago.
- Mama Said and In The Name Of Love. Both have decent chances of reaching the top 20, but I don't think they'd go much further than that.
- Sit Still, Look Pretty becomes Daya's first top 40 hit as a lead artist. Hide Away failed to become a hit peaking in the 80s and charting only 4 weeks.
- Starving and Go Robot reach top 50. This is Hailee Steinfeld's second entry to the zone and RHCP's third.
- Side To Side gets very close to the top 40 (56-42) and should make it next week. I'm not sure how this will hold up as I think it'll be a fast burner and that it'll be gone very soon.
THE DEBUTS: - A tally of 7 this week. Of those not mentioned previously Revolution Radio, Future Looks Good, and Waste A Moment all have great chances of being hits on the chart. This, of course, depends on whether or not they are released as singles for their respective bands.
- The other 3 debuts may also have decent chances of becoming minor hits in the future.
THE DROP-OUTS: - Two recurrents this week: Take It From Me and Low Life.
- KONGOS' latest single leaves the chart after having a strong run with a song that'll mostly make the year-end chart. It sure is nothing compared to Come With Me Now, but it made for a fantastic listen especially during its first weeks (I like their accordion lol).
- Still not sure as to how Low Life (X Ambassadors) suddenly grew so fast on me. It was around position #50 for a while before jumping over 30 spots to the top 20 and peaking at #12. It seemed bland before then and kind of seems that way now lol.
OTHERS: - Cold Water surprisingly drops out of the top 10 (6-11) even after reaching its current peak only last week. I think I'm starting to become kind of bored of it and moving on to Let Me Love You already.
- Gold surges big time after being stuck around position #50 for many weeks. Could this be a second wind in which it'll reenter the top 20 or just some false hope?
LEGEND: Blue = New peak Green = Debut

WEEK 42 of 2016 (September 17, 2016)Only 10 weeks left of the year (the chart year I use is Dec. 2015-Nov. 2016)! And well, this may not be the most interesting week as there are no new top 10 entries, but there are 6 debuts and a lot of songs that have managed to reach new peaks. So without further to do, let's get into the action. Top 50 video for the week: Overview:TOP 10: Hymn For The Weekend now has 3 weeks under its belt at the #1 position! This means it has now passed its predecessor, Adventure Of A Lifetime, in terms of weeks at the top. However, it gained by less than 1% this week in total points and the songs beneath it are rising fast. Its lead on #2, now The Greatest, has shrunk to slightly less than 10%. If The Greatest gains as much as it did from last week to this week, it'll surely reach the top next week. Kids recedes 2-3 but is also still gaining, just at a much slower rate than The Greatest. Its chances at repeating Wherever I Go's #1 achievement look impossible. Heathens stands still at the #4 position basically with no loss or gain in total points. That being said, it barely holds off Bang Bang at #5, which sees a 29% gain from last week (mostly due to its video release). However, this should be the peak for Green Day's single seeing as it'll most likely lose a significant amount of points next week. Fun fact: The current top 5 songs all have more points than Heathens did in its final week at the top. Moving along, Closer rebounded 8-6 this week and has set its sights on reentering the top 5 as soon as Bang Bang leaves. Sucker For Pain continues its steady run moving down 6-7 while Let Me Love You continues moving forward 10-8. I really do like it a lot better than Cold Water now and it may even surpass its #6 peak. This Girl continues falling (7-9 this week); it may even fall out of the top 10 next week. Good Grief recedes 9-10, though still gaining in points. It should move back up to, at least, its #9 peak next week. GREATEST GAINS: 1. Rivals (+23) [93-70] 2. Revolution Radio (+21) [70-49] 3. Side To Side (+18) [42-24] 3. Do You Mind (+18) [86-68] 5. No Problem (+17) [39-22] GREATEST LOSSES:1. Worship (-21) [76-97] 2. Life Itself (-20) [40-60] 3. Tears (-15) [60-75] 4. All In My Head (Flex) (-14) [55-69] 5. River (-12) [33-45] 5. Night Riders (-12) [80-92] NOTABLE NEW PEAKS (31):- Without even being named a single yet, Bastille's Fake It reaches the top 15 (17-15) to become the band's second (also simultaneous) top 15 hit.
- Mama Said and We Don't Talk Anymore both reach the top 20; I really thought they had peaked and stalled just outside but the current weak competition outside the top 14 has allowed them to do so.
- Loads of new songs reach peaks to enter the top 25. No Problem, Side To Side, and Gangsta all undergo sizeable gains to accomplish this.
- RHCP reach the top 40 again with Go Robot. Not sure the song will reach anywhere near the level of Dark Necessities, however.
THE DEBUTS (6):- My Way earns the Hot Shot Debut title this week (61) and it definitely is looking to be a hit. I might even like it more than TIWYCF before it burned out badly on me.
- Twenty One Pilots reach the top 100 with another song: Cancer. Not too sure how long the cover will remain on the chart, but I doubt it'll be a hit.
- Flume reaches the chart a second time with Say It. I hadn't gotten around to hearing this song but it really does sound pretty f***ing amazing. I can see it being bigger than Never Be Like You on my chart, which peaked at #13.
THE DROP-OUTS (7):- Similarly to last week, there are two recurrent dropouts this time: HandClap and Don't Mind.
- Both were pretty massive as they peaked at #3. I had hopes the former of the two would be a crossover success on mainstream radio, but it failed to do so. It probably would've made it even further if it had done so.
- Don't Mind is a strange one that has completely burned out on me; It should've probably been out of the top 50 weeks ago. It was quite sad to see this fall so quickly on radio and the hot 100, though.
OTHERS:- The Sound Of Silence receives a small boost to bounce back 13-11 following the 9/11 tribute. I suspect it will plummet back down next week, though.
- I have no idea how I'm beginning to love Stressed Out so much again. It was out of the top 40 only 5 weeks ago, but now it's boosted back up 42-35-30-21-16. This is definitely the #1 song all-time as #2, The Hills, spent 38 weeks in the top 10 (SO did 28), but only managed to chart 54 weeks (SO is looking towards 80+).
- Gold continues its second wind blasting 34-20 to tie its #20 peak from months ago. It should easily manage a new peak next week.

WEEK 43 of 2016 (September 24, 2016)This, in my opinion, is one of the most exciting weeks for the chart since I've begun posting here. We've got a new #1, a top 5 debut, a load of "old" songs plummeting in position, a lot of new peaks reached in the top 50, and over 10 debuts! Top 50 video below. Sorry for not including the audio for Starboy, but I couldn't find it anywhere to download free and I tend to not purchase songs on iTunes much. Overview:TOP 10: Sia (and Kendrick Lamar) attains her first number 1 with The Greatest as the single achieves an 11% increase in total chart points. Sia's other songs that have managed to chart well are Cheap Thrills (peak of #17) and Elastic Heart (peak of #7). This chart began well after Chandelier was relevant. Coldplay's Hymn For The Weekend recedes 1-2 after 3 weeks at the top; a return to #1 is very unlikely. Nevertheless, the single is likely to continue to chart throughout the end of the year and finish top 5 on my year-end chart. It is, after all, Coldplay's longest #1 now on the chart (AOAL had 2 weeks at the summit). The Weeknd makes a stellar comeback with Starboy, which also marks Daft Punk's first appearance on the chart. The artist reached the summit previously with The Hills (9 weeks) and Can't Feel My Face (4 weeks) while peaking at #2 with In The Night (5 weeks!). This is his first top 10 debut and I'm positive this will be the next #1; it has a great chance of doing so next week. Heathens holds its position at #4 with a negligible decrease in points. It looks as though its top 5 run will be quite extensive. Also from the Suicide Squad soundtrack, Sucker For Pain rebounds 7-5. I never expected this to last as long as it has in the top 10, but its just such a sick song; if only it were bigger on radio. OneRepublic's Kids, crashes 3-6 with a massive decrease in points. It is unlikely to return to the top 5, but I can definitely see it sticking around in the top 10 for some more weeks as its downfall will surely slow next week. Closer also moves down 6-7 but manages to maintain its bullet. This single may not reach the higher positions again but should see longevity in the mid-top 10 range. Bang Bang descends 5-8 with quite a decrease in points. Not sure how much longer this can stick in the top 10; its run at this point is indeterminable. Bastille's Good Grief rebounds 10-9 regaining its bullet to match its peak. The song definitely has an opportunity to surpass Bang Bang next week, but we'll see. Narrowly beaten by Good Grief, Let Me Love You stays roughly the same on overall points despite falling 10-8. I doubt this will fall out of the top 10 anytime soon, but I'm also unsure as to whether or not it can go higher than #8. GREATEST GAINS: 1. My Way (+35) [61-26] 2. Broccoli (+28) [78-50] 3. High And Low (+22) [100-78] 4. Holy Key (+18) [50-32] 5. Waste A Moment (+14) [67-53] 5. Say It (+14) [85-71] GREATEST LOSSES:1. Toothbrush (-31) [58-89] 2. Treat You Better (-29) [35-64] 3. River (-20) [45-65] 4. Dark Necessities (-18) [28-46] 5. Send My Love (-17) [40-57] 5. Girls Like (-17) [81-98] NOTABLE NEW PEAKS (32):- No Problem continues to surge this week (22-16). It definitely seems to be the only solely Rhythmic/Urban hit to chart this high in quite a while. I think Down In The DM was the last this sort of run off.
- Gold finally reaches a new peak (20-19) and should surely continue to push forward in the upcoming weeks.
- My Way, the greatest gainer for the week zooms 61-26 and surely looks to be a hit of the magnitude of This Is What You Came For.
- Holy Key blasts 50-32 to become DJ Khaled's third top 40 hit. Will it be his first top 30? Do You Mind is still to come.
- Other top 40 new entries include Scars To Your Beautiful (Alessia Cara's third), Starving (Hailee Steinfeld's first), and All We Ever Knew (the band's first).
THE DEBUTS (11):- Though not anywhere near as impressive as the Hot Shot Debut, Kanye West's Fade enters at #73. His songs tend to have erratic runs accompanied by spontaneous re-entries so only time will tell where this goes.
- With the release of Usher's new album, both Crash and No Limit make their debuts.
- Of the remaining song debuts, In My Mind and The Ocean appear to have the best chances at becoming hits.
THE DROP-OUTS (11):- No recurrents this week, but still a massive amount of dropouts.
- There isn't really too much to discuss here other than the fact that Life Itself does have a decent chance to make the year-end chart.

Loving the jumps for My Way and Drifting!
In My Mind debuts! And holy shit at that debut for Starboy! (but I won't complain because Starboy is a great song)

WEEK 44 of 2016 (October 1, 2016)New #1 this week, as well as the re-entry of one of my all-time favorites on this chart (more on that later)! Also, a bunch of recurrent dropouts and consequently a solid number of debuts. Top 50 video: Overview:TOP 10: The Weeknd dethrones Sia from her 1-week reign with Starboy. This marks his third #1 and does it with the second highest point value ever on my chart boasting an 89% increase from last week's points (largely aided by the video release). Also, it sustains a 31% lead over this week's #2. Sia's The Greatest moves down a spot from the top, but still holds its bullet as it finds itself with a solid increase in points. I don't think it will be able to top the chart again, but it's possible seeing as it is still blowing up. Heathens rebounds 4-3 with quite the point increase. This increase can be attributed to the amount of times I heard it on radio this week and simply the fact that it is starting to strongly grow back on me after dying down for a bit. Hymn For The Weekend undergoes a slight point decrease to move down 2-4. To round off the top 5, Sucker For Pain stays steady at #5 with a small increase in overall points managing a strong lead on the #6. And now for some surprises... The Sound Of Silence rebounds back into the top 10 yet again with a massive 12-6 jump. I listened to it a lot this week still fascinated by the dark atmosphere the cover creates, and even more so, once I discovered the live performance with Myles Kennedy. Just below it in points, Kids continues its steady downfall (6-7) even with the release of its really cool 360-degree video (or whatever it's called). At #8, The Hills makes its 55th-week-return after obsessively listening to the Weeknd's artist catalog all week long. I've decided to make the new rule listed in "Chart Additions" below and the circumstance was simply the return from The Weeknd and obviously, my subsequent obsession for the week. The track will be removed by next week's chart, though. Closer and Bang Bang both move down two positions, 7-9 and 8-10 respecitvely. Both likely won't gain in points anytime soon and have top 10 runs likely coming to an end. Closer sounds "done" to me again; its rebound didn't seem to last very long. CHART ADDITIONS:
- Starting this week with The Hills' situation, songs that have gone recurrent are now allowed to re-enter the top 25 under "special" circumstances. These "special" circumstances will last no longer than a week and the song will be removed thereafter regardless of position.
- Bullets have now been added to the chart in order for you guys to have a closer look at what songs are gaining or losing traction since simply gaining or losing positions doesn't always match up with that.
GREATEST GAINS: 1. Adrenaline (+29) [91-62] 2. Do You Mind (+19) [55-36] 3. Crash (+16) [100-84] 4. Holy Key (+15) [32-17] 5. High And Low (+15) [78-63] GREATEST LOSSES (lol these are so close together):1. Something To Believe In (-13) [41-54] 1. River (-13) [65-78] 1. Circadian Rhythm (-13) [75-88] 4. Bored To Death (-12) [36-48] 5. You & Me (-10) [28-38] 5. I Got The Keys (-10) [49-59] 5. Send My Love (-10) [57-67] NOTABLE NEW PEAKS (34):- No Problem pulls off a new peak a third consecutive week moving up 16-15 to reach top 15 looking likely to go even further.
- DJ Khaled finally gets his first top 30 and top 20, as a matter of fact, with Holy Key of all songs (32-17). Not sure why I like this one so much more than For Free or IGTK, but it just sounds so f***ing cool. We'll see if this'll have any longevity in this region, but I can't promise much.
- My Way moves up 26-20 to become Calvin Harris' second top 20 hit after This Is What You Came For. This song should continue to move up and at least go top 15, if not further, eventually.
- DJ Khaled's Major Key now registers a fourth top 40 hit with Do You Mind. Other new top 40 entries include Kings Of Leon's Waste A Moment and Alan Walker's Sing Me To Sleep (his second after Faded).
- The sole new top 50 entry is Perfect Strangers, which moves up to a #44 new peak officially becoming Jonas Blue's highest peaking song beating out Fast Car (peaked at 46).
THE DEBUTS (9):- The Weeknd finds itself with the Hot Shot Debut a second consecutive week with False Alarm (58). It would've surely debuted higher had I listened to it more than a couple times; I think top 50 next week is possible for the album's instant grat.
- After listening to Coloring Book a bit, Chance The Rapper's All We Got debuts at #79. I really hope that this his next single. More debuts from him are possible next week!
- After that we have a bunch of Alternative/Indie focused songs debuting, including the return of bands The Strumbellas and Saint Motel.
THE DROP-OUTS (10)/RECURRENTS (5):- Barring one, Girls Like, all the recurrents are basically assured to reach the year-end chart.
- Though with the least longevity of the remaining four, Dark Necessities topped the chart for 2 weeks and sat at the #2 spot for numerous weeks to ensure a top 15 spot on year-end.
- Way Down We Go and Let It Go should both finish around the same territory year-end. They both had 30+ week long runs marking them as "longevity" hits despite the former clearly having a higher peak and more weeks in the top 10 than the latter.
- Into You is the first Ariana Grande song to chart for more than 20 weeks on the chart. Despite not peaking the highest out of her hits, it certainly had the best top 20 run.
- Despite only reaching 17 weeks on the chart, Treat You Better may have a slight, though very unlikely, chance at making year-end. It still sits behind IKWYDLS, which is also an unclear year-end finisher.
