So excited for your YE chart! And also excited to see your new format in 2017! Ooo, loving the competition between Starboy and 24k Magic! Hopefully both can score well on the YE chart despite debuting very late. Alone enters top 10! False Alarm top 20! In Your Mind gains in points (hopefully it's drop in position doesn't mean it's dying down...), Black Beatles and Sing Me To Sleep almost top 30! Scars To Your Beautiful makes a huge leap into top 40! Wow, you have lots of Marshmello songs on your chart! I should really check out their other songs! :) RIP DLMD and Stressed Out soon...

WEEK 50 of 2016 (November 12, 2016)Well, its kinda late but at least you guys didn't have to wait until the following week alike what happened a couple weeks back lol. Top 50 Video below. You may have to wait a while if it is still uploading. OVERVIEW: 24K Magic pulls away from its closest challenger, Starboy, to secure a third week at the #1 position. This week, it develops a 30% lead now that it has successfully re-gained its bullet. However, these last few days (outside Week 50's chart tracking period) I'm feeling that Starboy will come back strong next week. The #2 song remains stable in its spot with a minor 2% loss. Unfortunately, I Hate U, I Love U does not appear to be going further anytime soon as it loses its bullet and the gap between itself and Starboy stays relatively the same. Beneath it, Bastille's Send Them Off! and Fake It both gain three positions to enter the top 5 at #4 and 5, respectively. These mark the band's two first top 5 hits, which still surprises me much as neither are declared singles. It was a close race to reach the top 5 and double up this week, though. Marshmello's Alone was right on Bastille's tail (at #6) gaining significantly more and looking good to pass both songs as soon as this upcoming week. 21P's Heathens descends out 5-7 to fall out of the top 5 a second time in the past few weeks. Its run inside that territory may very well be done, but it could stick around in the top 10 for a while longer. Similarly, Sia's The Greatest falls 4-8 somewhat surprisingly when looking back at its relative consistency in the top 4 its first nine weeks. It is falling quite fast and may even exit the top 10 next week. As expected, Ritual makes solid gains in its second week charting moving up 17-9. We'll see how far Marshmello's second top 10 (and Wrabel's first) goes. Wrabel's 11 Blocks could even be a candidate for a position here, very soon. Finally, to close out the top 10, Coldplay's Hymn For The Weekend drops 6-10 and narrowly outranks Capsize to remain another week and deny Frenship of his first top 10, though that won't be for long. Black Beatles, All Time Low, and the afore-mentioned 11 Blocks all make large jumps into the top 20, especially the first of the three. These all set their sights on the top 10 as What They Want, Say You Won't Let Go, and Versace On The Floor do so as well. Also, most likely a chart record, this week's hot shot debut was Green Day's Still Breathing, at a record low of #86. GREATEST GAINS:1. Versace On The Floor (+34) [60-26] 2. Blood In The Cut (+16) [97-81] 2. Dancing On My Own (+16) [100-84] 4. Black Beatles (+15) [31-16] 5. Say You Won’t Let Go (+14) [57-43] 5. Rockabye (+14) [84-70] GREATEST LOSSES:1. WEEK 51 of 2016 (November 12, 2016)Not much to say this week, here. Top 50 Video: OVERVIEW: The top 2 face-off continues as Starboy pulls back ahead of 24K Magic for a fifth week at the top position, to become The Weeknd's second-longest #1. However, it only has a 4% lead on its challenger and Bruno Mars' album will give the latter an advantage going into next week. On the other hand, The Weeknd's album is coming out the week after, which could lead to another switch between them in the following weeks. Quite a ways back in terms of points, Alone ascends 6-3 becoming Marshmello's first ever top 5 hit. I can definitely see this getting closer to the top two after their album hype dies down in a few weeks. I Hate U, I Love U begins its descent moving back 3-4 with less points than Alone, but only barely. 3 weeks at #3 is an unfortunate peak, but I can still see this having some proper longevity. Rounding out the top 5, Fake It remains at its #5 position with a bullet. It only just edges Bastille's other current chart hit, Send Them Off! which falls back 4-6 though still bulleting. As both aren't very far from gnash, Bastille stands a fair chance of having two in the top 5 next week, again. Rae Sremmurd's Black Beatles blasts 16-7, largely due to me participating in the Mannequin Challenge this week. It would've risen to around #12 otherwise. I'm thinking this will be its peak; the song may even fall back out of the top 10 next week. Capsize also enters the top 10 to #8 and becoming Frenship's & Emily Warren's first top 10 hit. I still really hope this can turn into a hit on radio and such in the real world; its momentum is looking good on my chart in the meantime. Ritual keeps to its #9 spot losing a slight amount of its points as well as its bullet. The song's initial energy is kind of dying down on me, but we'll see if it can bounce back and keep going further up to the top. Heathens continues to fall (this week 7-10). I think it may last in the top 10 a few more weeks. Dropping out of the top 10 are Hymn For The Weekend and The Greatest (both #1 hits); don't think they'll re-enter. The one standout on the chart for the week is Say You Won't Let Go, which rises 30 positions to #13. Also, the release of Bruno Mars' album results in 7 of the 9 tracks charting, here, meaning 5 new songs of his debuted. This includes #29 Hot Shot Debut Too Good To Say Goodbye. GREATEST GAINS:1. Say You Won’t Let Go (+30) [43-13] 2. What They Want (+11) [32-21] 2. Alarm (+11) [47-36] 2. All We Ever Knew (+11) [76-65] 2. Dancing On My Own (+11) [84-73] GREATEST LOSSES:1. A.I. (-26) [61-87] 2. WEEK 52 of 2016 (November 26, 2016)Quite a late update as I've been busy with college essays this last weekend. I had the video about since Monday morning, though! This is the last week of my chart tracking year! I'm still not quite sure as to how I want to go about the Top 100 (maybe 125 or 150) countdown, but I'll probably do that over the winter break seeing as I have finals (the last ones that actually matter lol) coming up soon. If you guys could offer ideas, that'd be great. Top 50 Video: OVERVIEW: As the year comes to a close, we have quite the #1 battle on our hands. 24K Magic is propelled by the album's release back to the #1 spot for a fourth week. The last 7 or 8 weeks we've had a face-off between the Bruno Mars and Weeknd singles, but Rae Sremmurd is coming to join real quick. Black Beatles blasts 7-2 (68% increase in points) to just miss the #1. I honestly had no idea this was going to join the top 3 until I became obsessed with it the latter half of that week. I'd said last week that its top 10 entry was already aided by my Mannequin Challenge engagement so I anticipated that to be its peak... guess not? The Weeknd's Starboy falls back down 1-3 losing its bullet as well. However, with the release of the album (that goes by the same title) it may just retrace its steps back to the top. Honestly, it's had quite an uncommon chart run: 3-1-1-1-2-1-2-2-1-3 and it may just retake the top position for the fourth time. The battle between these three will be a very close one seeing as 24K Magic currently holds the lead, Starboy will possibly receive an album boost, and Black Beatles is blowing up although this first half of the week was much slower than second half of the last for it. Marshmello's Alone backtracks 3-4 albeit a 12% gain in overall points. However, I can't see how it'll catch up to the top three soon. We'll just have to see if it can outlast them, but seeing as it is not an actual hit in real-life it is quite unlikely. Bastille continue their two-top-10-punch with Send Them Off! and Fake It at #5 and #6, respectively. I can see either of the two being huge hits on my chart (like even more than they already are) if actually promoted as singles on alt rock radio. Following the AMA's and lots of radio play, Heathens rebounds 10-7 regaining its bullet. Its top 10 run now extends to 23 weeks. Can it beat Stressed Out's number of weeks in the top 10? I Hate U, I Love U appears to take a major dive (4-8). However, points are very close in this area so it didn't lose as much as one would think. It has had a better first half of a week this time, so a top 10 exit is unlikely for the upcoming week. Capsize also descends (8-9), though with a bullet, and surely sets it sights on a new peak in the following weeks. Finally, All Time Low jumps 16-10 with some late-in-the-week activity. Its future looks very bright on my chart; I hope the same for it on radio and BB. This next week will bring forth a lot of competitors for the top 10 positions seeing as 11-13 ( Ritual, Say You Won't Let Go, and Waste A Moment) are still gaining. The latter of the three seeks to break its #13 peak where it has been for 4 weeks. In addition, The Weeknd's tracks False Alarm and I Feel It Coming are sure to put up a fight. Other news include the massive 44-position-jump from Party Monster alongside the 5 new debuts from The Weeknd. Dua Lipa's Blow Your Mind also surprises with a grand jump into the top 40 as does Bad Things with a hot shot debut at #65. GREATEST GAINS:1. Party Monster (+44) [78-34] 2. I Feel It Coming (+36) [56-20] 3. Love On The Brain (+25) [94-69] 4. Blow Your Mind (Mwah) (+24) [61-37] 5. Fire Escape (+21) [89-68] 5. Still Breathing (+21) [95-74] GREATEST LOSSES:1. Broccoli (-34) [42-76] 2. LUV (-30) [66-96] 3. Finesse (-25) [68-93] 4. Let’s Hurt Tonight (-18) [39-57] 5. Final Song (-16) [74-90] MOST WEEKS:

WEEK 1 of 2017 (12/03/2016)The start of a new chart year. Top 50 Video: OVERVIEW: With the drop of the new Weeknd album, Starboy manages to retake the #1 position for a 4th separate time that now totals 6 weeks. It finds itself with a 9% increase only just leaping over Rae Sremmurd's Black Beatles. The duo's single also gains (4%) but is forced to sit out a second week at the #2 position. The song's influences has also led to the debut of lesser hit Look Alive. It's chances for the top look very good next week though. 24K Magic falls 1-3 as its reign in the top 2 appears to end. Experiencing a 12% drop following the last week arrival of Bruno Mars' new album, it's likely to continue its descent next week. Behind it, Alone continues to gain points though it is definitely showing signs of slowing down. Not sure, if it'll even bounce back to its #3 peak at this point. Rounding out the top 5 on the other hand, Jon Bellion's All Time Low zooms 10-5 with a 32% gain in total chart points. It's possible that this could be a threat for the top after Starboy falls and the Black Beatles begin theirs. However, it's far too soon to tell. Bastille's stability remains as Send Them Off! recedes 5-6 with basically no difference in points from last week. Additionally, Fake It falls 6-8 with only a 2% point loss. I still really hope one of these becomes a single at one point since it looks like Bastille is headed in a different direction with their second single at the moment. In between the two, I Feel It Coming notably rises 20-7 largely due to, again, the Weeknd's album release. Surely, this is a candidate for the higher top 5 rankings in the near future, with it being named a single and all. To further depict the impact here is a list of all The Weeknd's Starboy tracks on the chart currently: 1. Starboy (+2) 7. I Feel It Coming (+13) 15. Party Monster (+19) 16. False Alarm (-1) 47. Sidewalks (+31) 53. Secrets (+22) 57. Rockin' (+26) 71. Six Feet Under (Debut) 75. Reminder (Debut) 87. Love To Lay (+10) At #9, Capsize stays basically even on points. Unsure if it'll reach a higher peak, a significant gap (in points) has been formed between itself and the songs at #10 and below so I cannot see it dropping too many positions soon. Finally, Twenty One Pilots' Stressed Out/Ride/Heathens run is approaching its demise as Heathens drops back down 7-10, following the "mostly-driven by the AMAs" boost. Now that I Hate U, I Love U has fallen a top 10 comeback is doubtful. Say You Won't Let Go, Ritual, and Party Monster are most likely the best candidates to stop the TØP run.
GREATEST GAINS:1. Bad Things (+31) 1. Sidewalks (+31) 2. Rockin’ (+26) 3. Fake Love (+24) 4. Secrets (+22) 4. Home (+22) GREATEST LOSSES:1. Tiimmy Turner (-34) 2. Sit Still, Look Pretty (-27) 3. Adrenaline (-26) 4. Versace On The Floor (-14) 5. Put Your Money On Me (-13) MOST WEEKS (RIP Ride):
1. Stressed Out (82) 2. Hymn For The Weekend (54) 3. Unsteady (49) 4. The Sound Of Silence (45) 5. I Hate U, I Love U (35) Hopefully y'all like the new chart format! Can you please go back to the old chart format? This one is difficult to read. Great list though! :) When is the year-end coming out? Yeah, I was trying to make it readable so, for the screenshots, I still zoomed in the same amount as before, but I guess they just ended up being too wide when uploading them to imgur. I wanted to find a way to require <4 pics to show my chart but I guess it won't work. For the year-end, I still need to figure out what exactly to do for the countdown as I've never done one in the past. It'd be nice if you guys could offer suggestions though. I'm quite busy at the moment so it may take me until late Dec.-early Jan. after Christmas to start.

I would add the total number of points that a song accumulated in the chart year to its peak*100,000. The peak number would be an inverse, with a song peaking at #1 getting 100,000, a song peaking at #2 getting 99,0000, etc. For example, here's what "24k Magic" would be based on real-life data.
132,730 + 96,000 = 228,730 total points.
Is that cool?

WEEK 2 of 2017 (12/10/2016)If you couldn't tell from last week, loads of new songs debuted from the "Annual Year-End Madness" contest, and that trend only continued for this chart's edition. Additionally, we've got the likes of J. Cole's new album, as well as, a couple of other songs. But, more importantly (probably), a new #1 has emerged. Let's get into the action! Top 50 Video: OVERVIEW: After waiting its turn at #2 for two weeks, Black Beatles rises by 8% in points to establish itself as the next chart topper. That being said, this is most likely its peak week in points as it'll begin its descent very soon. But no matter, it still made it as the first hip-hop chart topper since "Sucker For Pain" managed the feat for one week. All Time Low jumps again 5-2 to only just oust the now #3 falling song, Starboy. The former of the aforementioned is a very good candidate for the top spot as made evident by its 24% gain and the fact that Black Beatles' bullet is pretty much done. Starboy, on the other hand, falls 1-3 after 6 weeks of topping the chart and I assure stands no chance of reclaiming the throne, sadly. Nevertheless, Black Beatles now holds a 29% lead on #2 so it may survive at the top next week, but we'll see. Alone remains at the #4 spot another week; this week being the first that it has actually lost points. This may be indicative of its descent's beginnings, more or less due to it never catching on in the real-life mainstream. Bruno Mars' former #1 24K Magic falls 3-5 and rounds out the top 5. After the album hype died, this song appeared to be done and unfortunately, for it, it could very well lose a few more spots next week. Bastille's Send Them Off! continues gaining points albeit very slowly and remaining unchanged at #6. Likewise, I Feel It Coming, Fake It, and Capsize are stable at their #7, 8, and 9 positions, respectively, whilst gaining in points. The Weeknd's song was not able to jump, again, since his album was not streamed nearly enough this time to enable a move of that magnitude. Finishing off the top 10, James Arthur achieves his first hit on the chart with Say You Won't Let Go, which only barely manages to surpass a falling Heathens. That being said, a significant gap in points persists between Capsize and Say You Won't Let Go making a higher peak for the latter very difficult. Just outside the top 10, Waste A Moment finally reaches a new peak rising two positions to #12. Party Monster does so similarly to #13 as both still maintain a chance at a top 10 peak. Also, look out for Bad Things and the greatest gainer Home as well as the hot shot debut I Don't Wanna Live Forever. Now doing stats by percentages rather than positions, so that it's more accurate across the board and does not disadvantage the top songs.
