In the predictions thread I see that "Heathens" is about to spend 3rd week at #4. I thought that Suicide Squad hype was starting to decline and that "Heathens" will start falling the upcoming week. I'm surprised that it's holding on to this spot so strong. What do you think will happen with it? How long will it be in the top 10, longer than "Ride"?
I'm happy with the top 10 the way it is right now, but I think that inevitable songs to reach the top 10 in the upcoming weeks are "Treat you better" (no brainer really, probably this week), "Too good" (let's face it, this was destined to hit the top 10 since the very beginning, it was just waiting for "Work" and "One Dance" reigns to end) and "Let me love you" (I like this but it sounds too similiar to Cold Water and we already have one Cold Water in the top 10 right now, soon we'll have two, hooray i guess.....). Other songs charting right now that are very likely to make it to the top 10 are "Broccoli", "Gold", "Sit still look pretty", "This girl". There are also "Mama Said" and "Hymn for the weekend" but I think they will peak in top 20.

There are also "Mama Said" and "Hymn for the weekend" but I think they will peak in top 20. I think Heathens has just been sent to Pop radio to slow its decline, and Gangsta has had kind of a late streaming surge. The other songs seem to be slipping, so it looks like they'll be gone in a couple weeks. Heathens probably would've been a contender for #1 had the radio push begun sooner, but as of now I'm expecting it to slowly fall out of the chart after the usual 20-30 weeks. Not sure Broccoli has much of a chance of reaching the top 10, due to the radio completely ignoring it. I'd say it's around 50/50 for Let Me Love You due to the sort of steep 2nd week fall. Same with Too Good, since its sales and streaming growth has stalled. It's gonna depend on how fast it rises at radio.

"Heathens" is becoming its own hit outside of the film just like "Just Like Fire." Actually, the majority of the soundtrack is holding well. "Sucker for Pain" is also gaining great traction.

"Heathens" will be #3 at best if "Cold Water" and "Closer" already have a video. Both have same kind of chance to grow on streaming and leave "Heathens" on the back. But now has chance to surge to top 2...I guess.

Grace's You Don't Own Me cover actually got a new peak (#57 instead of #58) thanks to the Suicide Squad soundtrack. (IMO, underrated song that should have at least reached top 40).

It's kind of crazy how "CSTF" is still top 10 at iTunes.

Yeah, pretty sure "Heathens" picked up on the 21P hype train and kinda rode off of "Ride".

*** indicates that the song dropped or added a format Perhaps we should update the copy on this disclaimer to match what Kworb says: Songs with *** dropped or added a format so their updates are completely incorrect. People seem to consistently not notice the *** and/or don't understand what it means.

Yeah, pretty sure "Heathens" picked up on the 21P hype train and kinda rode off of "Ride". Maybe? But I also think people like the song. It sold well and had good streams even before the movie dropped, no? It seemed to be doing better than "Ride" in a relative sense (i.e. when you look at how much more airplay "Ride" had).

Well yeah, but I meant that people liked it. It was just another 21P song that added to their single. Similar to Whitney during her movie soundtrack songs. They weren't meant to be part of the regular string of singles they had going, but because it was successful, it was added to it.

Heathens is the best song in the top 10 right now! I hope it goes #1 on the Hot 100 eventually (since Stressed Out never had a chance) and on Pop Songs too. But for now, what are your guesses about Ride jumping to #1 on Pop Songs dethroning Cheap Thrills; they are very close.

I don't think I have a good understanding of this.

Oh, I see. I'll do that for now on! Wait a second, that means what for the actual airplay data? I don't think I have a good understanding of this. The "***" beside a song's title means that the song either dropped or added a radio format (an example of this would be a song entering or falling below the top 50 on pop radio. I believe for some other formats, it would drop/add a format if it fell below or went above a certain amount of spins) and this means that it's update for the day is most likely incorrect.

I believe for some other formats, it would drop/add a format if it fell below or went above a certain amount of spins) and this means that it's update for the day is most likely incorrect. Example song scenario: Monday: Format A: #10, 50m impressions Format B: #20, 15m impressions Format C: #51, 3m impressions (doesn't appear on the chart) Total airplay on kworb: 65m (since the song hasn't appeared on format C's chart yet) Actual airplay: 68m, but we don't know this since we don't see format C Tuesday: Format A: #11, 49m impressions Format B: #21, 14.5m impressions Format C: #50, 3.5m impressions (appears on the chart) Total airplay on kworb: 67m kworb change: +2.0m Actual change: -1.0m kworb would show that as an overall big gain even though it's actual total airplay dropped, it's just that we didn't have the airplay data for that new format. So the *** means you can't really compare because we don't know what the real change is.

You all get so deep into AirPlay which is cool. All I do is look at what # a song is at and if it went up or down.

It's kind of crazy how "CSTF" is still top 10 at iTunes. What's crazy is that the film Trolls doesn't even come out until November. The song can possibly stay in top10/20 for a lot longer.

All of her soundtrack singles were from movies she starred in and in which she sang a good portion or a majority of the songs on, and all of the singles released from her in those eras were from those soundtracks, so it is completely different from this 21P scenario where they have singles from a studio album and throw in a soundtrack or other non-album single in. On another note, it looks like Adele will make it all the way to #2 on airplay, which I never thought it would have!
