Make Me is robbed of a higher peak :'( How exactly it was "robbed" well with VMA, I expected it to get a new peak position OR charted lower than its peak (#17), not the same exact position as its debut

I mean the song has flopped. If it has a chance to pull off a higher peak, it's only on this week

It's 7 AM Eastern Time and Billboard's chart hasn't updated yet.... (they normally do it at around 5AM ET)

Hymn For The Weekend went up only 1 spot. Just like predicted... Is it slowing down? Is its climb over?

Hymn for the Weekend is doing fine on Pop radio and iTunes, so I wouldn't worry yet. On a personal note I didn't even expect the song to chart so I'm pretty happy about it's success so far.
About Make Me... yeah, shame it didn't get a new peak but I don't think a #15 peak is that much different from a #17 peak. If it was at #11 and failed to reach top 10 it'd be another story (a la Katy Perry's Rise).

^Having heard the full Britney album I'm shocked they picked Make Me as the lead single. Anyone know what single #2 is? I would hope it's "Do You Wanna Come Over" -- seems far and away the most single-worthy.

So you disagree with most people here who believe singles should be chosen with radio in mind? Radio is important but not that important. Streams and sales still the most relevant to be weighted more in BBH100 formula. Isn't it kind of contradictory that people say that streaming and sales are more important than radio, but when a single flops it's always radio's fault? Song A flopped because radio wouldn't touch it. Song B flopped because radio wouldn't play a song with the word "bitch" on the title. Song C flopped because that radio is ageist and won't play female singers over 40. Radio is always the excuse, as if it were the decisive factor behind a song's success. And yet, people say digital sales are more important.

And most of single need conciousness, that is Radio's. But ppl not really listening to those song on their own, differ than sales and streaming that they really wish for and interested in.

So if people can choose what they "want" to listen to on streaming and sales, if a song flops it's because people didn't want to listen to it, not because radio is ageist, not because radio won't play a song with the word bitch on the title, not because pop radio didn't play that country-influenced song.
Unless we agree that getting your song played on the radio will make people "want" to stream it or buy it, thus enhancing its chances of becoming a hit.

As Needed Me scores a 15th week in the top 10, a quick look at all other songs peaking outside the top 5 and spending 15 or more weeks in the top 10:
Behind These Hazel Eyes by Kelly Clarkson 15 weeks peaked at #6 in 2005
That's it

It is definitely a testament to how the music climate has changed over the past few years. I've noticed a bunch of slow burners in the top 15 since I started following the charts in 2014, and now with songs like Fight Song, Needed Me, Me Myself & I, Ride (almost), and Locked Away, the effect is becoming more extreme.
