Y do I feel like Bruno and The Weeknd are having the same run with their albums - Great Lead Single/Songs with the same name of the album (Starboy, 24k Magic) - Even Better 2nd single (False Alarm, Versace On The Floor) I thought Versace was just a promotional single. Did they confirmed it as a follow up?

I would lerrrrv a new all-time weeks at #1 champ. 'One Sweet Day' had Two Sweet Decades with title, which is more than plenty. Time to pass the mic. I wouldn't count on it, before closer can reach the 4 month stay, starboys album will drop and since the ep is shit it wouldn't get much of a boost from that, so that leaves starboy with a massive change to overtake it.

Ok I think I've found out why Black Beatles is increasing so much on iTunes rn.. the mannequin challenge. Great another rea sremmurd song gaining traction because of a stupid internet meme/challange, i am just happy they picked the best song on that terrible album to do it with.

It's not better than Starboy or 24K Magic, but it would be hilarious if a song called "Black Beatles" hit #1. Such a title will definetely capture attention while browsing old charts.

That'd be interesting if Beatles is the next #1 then Starboy & 24K Magic will be blocked from #1, which will be amazing lol

The Next #1 will either be Starboy or Black Beatles. I don't see 24k Magic going #1. It's too weak in streaming.

I clicked on Black Beatles with high hopes seeing as many people here like it/don't mind it. I was disappointed. It is terrible. The instrumental sounds so busy and that reverb makes it feel crowded. The vocals are horrible. When I first heard Hot Boy back in 2014 (which you could argue was the first Vine dance/viral craze thing, at least to me it was first one I paid attention to), I thought "how could this get worse?". It's funny how each one (Trap Queen, Nasty Freestyle, Watch Me, Panda, this) is worse than the previous.
This is just my opinion of the song and those songs, so please don't give out to me or hate on me for it lol. I'm not going to continue to hate on it in these threads for the next few weeks, I probably won't even talk about it again. If you disagree with my opinion, that's great but there is no need to reply directly telling me so. And I don't mean that in a rude way, I just don't want to start any 'fights' or whatever : )

If somebody told me a year ago that Rae Sremmurd were about to dethrone The Chainsmokers from the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, I would have laughed.
Welcome to 2016.

Y'all are sleeping on "Pacifier" by Young Thug. It's undoubtedly Mike Will Made It's best beat. "Paradise" by Big Sean is also quite great too.

Paradise is now my second favourite mike will made it beat, pacifier also has a pretty good beat, to bad the rapping sucks on both or otherwise i would have had some new great songs.

The Next #1 will either be Starboy or Black Beatles. I don't see 24k Magic going #1. It's too weak in streaming. If I recall Cheap Thrills was weak in streaming but manged to be a multi-week #1 It's possible, and his album is gonna be what gives him the major push alongside promo Radio will probably carry it to the top, it also has strong sales. I have faith in 24K Magic and am hoping it is our next chart topper cause I dislike Starboy & Black Beatles a lot.

The album release will give 24k Magic a strong boost on Spotify, but even then I still can't see it, plus The Weeknd's album is right after Bruno's and he's a huge streaming act. Black Beatles will probably be unstoppable too by then. And it's a shame that he might miss the top. 24k Magic is a great song.

I honestly am not feeling like Black Beatles is going to reach #1 on the Hot 100. Sure, its doing really well in sales, but I don't see that momentum lasting for too long. Anyways, it's still behind in airplay by quite a bit, which is a disadvantage. It's streams are not high enough to make up for that.
I think the next #1 will be Starboy or 24K Magic. If I had to pick from 1 of those 2, I'd say Starboy. It's not really falling in sales and not much in streaming also, while its airplay is still gaining well. Meanwhile, Closer is falling quickly now (not way too quickly, but quick enough) and the gap is shrinking. If Starboy hits #1, it will be like right before, or right after, the start of its downfall.
Now, 24K Magic... it's getting a boost in sales (not sure how long it will last though), it's gaining in streams, and gaining well in airplay too. Also, Bruno's album is coming out soon too, so it can boost off that.
So, what I can see happening is 1 of 3 things: -Starboy hits #1 just before falling -Starboy hits #1 during its fall -Starboy starts taking heavy losses before it can pass Closer, while 24K Magic comes up and passes both of them

lol it literally JUST reached #1 on iTunes because of a challenge (and the effect could easily wear off after a few days) and everyone is already saying Black Beatles is gonna be #1. Chill. Wait at least a week or so.

Surprisingly, the first time I found Rae Sremmurd's song tolerable. However, I still don't want this to be next #1. It seems that using Black Beatles in Mannequin challenge is not necessary, so I don't get the sales boost of it.
