Can someone explain why I I don't Wanna live forever just exploded on iTunes? I guess that is because it was featured in the new trailer for the movie

But remember, Cheap Thrills is a historic and game-changing song as it came in the form of a white woman past a certain age, automatically giving it importance and making it "progressive". Sometimes I think ~85% of this board has the exact same stock portfolio heavily centered around and dependent on the hair bleaching and vaginal rejuvenation businesses. Oh please, it isn't Pulse, it's every country outside of the US + a large portion of the US. This type of mindless "hip-hop", is designed for 15 year old white straight boys who want to feel hard and ghetto with their money and bitches while dropping out of high school. I don't think Cheap Thrills is super great either, but it has a MELODY. Something you can sing along to. I just listened to the 2016 H100 YE chart for a Pulse game and I could not distinguish at least 20 hip hop songs from each other. Musically there is nothing. It's the same crappy DJ Mustard demo sounds made in 3 minutes in Frooty Loops while some autotuned idiot says (not raps, just says) the song title 50x in a row in a braindead tone, because that's "cool". I give Black Beatles a pass because they at least tried making a melody and the instrumental had something going. It's just really boring, most boring #1 since When I Was Your Man. There are a lot of good hip hop songs. Stuff like Mockingbird by Eminem. Rap music is supposed to tell a story, what's the point of repeating a random word? If you don't have talent to sing, rap, or write creative lyrics then what's the point of being a Hip Hop artist... Also I don't know who's talking about Alternative? Do people rage in the H100 thread when Alternative songs smash? Shut Up and Dance just won the Pulse Rankdown for 2015 lol. This entire post could be used against all the random europop & eurodance tracks that play throughout Europe. You can say it's for eurotrash dudes and their bony girls to open their shirts to to show some tacky necklace, guzzle overpriced vodka, and snort a pile of cocaine while spending their parents money. "It has a melody" might be a good enough reason for you to give it a pass, but melody isn't the only aspect of music. It is not. In fact some might hear them and say that it's utterly brain dead and bordering on not being music, just like you're trying to do now. Just like a bunch of American tracks those sound like they were recorded in a sloppy session where everyone was high, those sound like they came out of some Hungarian brothel basement and they got one of the girls to coo over it between deepthroating sessions. But they think those songs are "cool", and there's nothing really wrong with that. Before anyone gets their panties in a twist, I'm not telling anyone what to like or dislike. You can think that Sneakernight is the greatest musical creation ever, I don't care either way. But this type of moral high ground just looks dumb when there's a similar equivalent in all parts of the world, and additionally so when you follow it with the neo-communist sentiment that a country should give up a part of its own popular music and culture for others. How many numbing J-pop tracks get thrown at the public in Japan? How many Latin ballads across central and South America may be called dull and interchangeable by others? How many tonal Chinese ballads would be deemed unmemorable and boring as hell by millions? Let people enjoy their s**t and go back to hovering over yours.

#44 Water Under The Bridge #20 This Town #17 Mercy #16 All Time Low #15 Scars To Your Beautiful (with a bullet) #12 Bad Things #11 Don't Wanna Know
#10 Broccoli #9 Fake Love #8 Let Me Love You #7 Side To Side #6 Juju On That Beat #5 24K Magic #4 Closer #3 Starboy #2 Bad & Boujee #1 Black Beatles
I cannot stand Bad & Boujee, it is terrible. However, I want it to hit #1 next week just so we can get some movement up there. Hopefully it will then be dethroned by Ed (I don't like him either but again, I'd rather a new #1)

I honestly didn't expect "bad & boujee" to get up this high this fast, but I don't mind tbh even though I'd rather it not stay too long at #1 if it gets there
also yay "all time low" might be (are these official yet?) in the top 20!

I knew that was going to happen, but still seing Mercy heading straight into top 10 makes me cringe so hard. I feel like I'm witnessing the rise of Treat You Better all over again. :(
At least "All Time Low" made it to the top 20 and that means it probably will make it on the year end list!
Am I the only one who feels like Fake Love is just wasting space in the top 10? Feels like such a completely pointless filler...

www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/7640667/hot-100-rae-sremmurd-migos-bad-boujeeRae Sremmurd Returns to No. 1 on Hot 100, Migos Soars to Top 101/3/2017 by Gary Trust "Black Beatles," featuring Gucci Mane, rebounds for a seventh week at the summit, while Migos' "Bad and Boujee," featuring Lil Uzi Vert, vaults into the top 10. Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles," featuring Gucci Mane, rises 2-1 for a seventh week atop the Billboard Hot 100 (dated Jan. 14). Meanwhile, Migos' "Bad and Boujee," featuring Lil Uzi Vert, blasts 13-2, driven in part by viral buzz and marking the first top 10 for each hip-hop act. Let's run down the top 10 of the Hot 100, which blends sales, airplay and streaming data. All charts will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, Jan. 4 (a day later than usual, due to the New Year's Day holiday having pushed back chart processing this week). "Beatles," released on Interscope Records and the first Hot 100 No. 1 for the brother duo of Khalif "Swae Lee" and Aaquil "Slim Jxmmi" Brown (and likewise the first leader for Gucci Mane), returns to the top after a week at No. 2. It adds a sixth week at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart (rising 3-1) with a 120 percent gain to 136,000 downloads sold in the week ending Dec. 29, according to Nielsen Music. (All 50 titles on Digital Song Sales sport gains for the week, reflecting robust holiday shopping.) "Beatles" slips to No. 3 after seven weeks atop Streaming Songs (28.4 million U.S. streams, down 3 percent), while holding at its No. 8 high on Radio Songs (90 million in airplay audience, down 1 percent). "Beatles" tops Billboard's Hot Rap Songs chart for an eighth week. As on the Hot 100, it rules Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for a seventh week. "Beatles" had first topped the Hot 100 (dated Nov. 26) powered in large part by viral videos, with the song serving as the soundtrack to Mannequin Challenge clips, and the runner-up song on the new Jan. 14-dated tally similarly leaps with a viral assist. Migos' "Bad and Boujee," featuring Lil Uzi Vert, vaults 13-2 and becomes the most-streamed song of the week, surging 5-1 on Streaming Songs (32.5 million, up 86 percent). The majority (54 percent) of its streams stem from YouTube (17.6 million), followed by Spotify (7.9 million). The track also crowns the audio subscription services-based On-Demand Streaming Songs chart (3-1; 14.8 million on-demand clicks, up 32 percent). As previously reported, "Bad" has inspired numerous memes and tweets playing off the song's "raindrop, drop top" lyrics. A 60-second clip of Migos of performing "Bad" in Lagos, Nigeria, posted to Twitter Dec. 20, has also helped propel the song's profile. "Bad" easily marks the first Hot 100 top 10 for each act. Trio Migos had previously peaked as high as No. 69 in 2014 with "Fight Night," its first of six entries on the chart. Rapper Lil Uzi Vert's second-highest-charting Hot 100 hit (of five to date) is still climbing, as "You Was Right" jumps 52-42 (in its 25th week on the list). Also notably, with "Beatles" and "Bad" at Nos. 1 and 2 on both the Hot 100 and Hot Rap Songs concurrently, the top two tracks on each chart match for the first time in more than a year-and-a-half; on May 30, 2015, Wiz Khalifa's "See You Again," featuring Charlie Puth, and Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen" ranked at Nos. 1 and 2 on the tallies, respectively (for a third straight week). The Weeknd's "Starboy," featuring Daft Punk, descends to No. 3 on the Hot 100 after rising 2-1 on the Jan. 7 chart, becoming The Weeknd's third leader and Daft Punk's first. The track drops 3-4 on Streaming Songs (23.3 million, down 7 percent); 5-7 on Radio Songs (100 million, down 3 percent); and 1-11 on Digital Song Sales (although up 18 percent to 101,000; the song had topped the chart the week before partly due to 69-cent sale-pricing in the iTunes Store during the week ending Dec. 22). Still, "Starboy" leads the Hot R&B Songs chart for a 14th week. The Chainsmokers' "Closer," featuring Halsey, slides 3-4 on the Hot 100 after spending 12 weeks at No. 1. Impressively, the collab has spent all 22 of its weeks on the chart in the top 10, dating to its debut at No. 9 on Aug. 20. Only one song has logged more weeks in the top 10 from its debut week: Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" (23 weeks, Dec. 5, 2015-May 7, 2016, including two at No. 1; the song went on to become the top title on the 2016 year-end Hot 100). Rounding out the Hot 100's top five, Bruno Mars' "24K Magic" retreats to No. 5 from its No. 4 peak. Also each dropping a notch on the Hot 100, Zay Hilfigerrr & Zayion McCall's "Juju on That Beat (TZ Anthem)" falls to No. 6 from its No. 5 peak; Ariana Grande's "Side to Side," featuring Nicki Minaj, slips 6-7 after reaching No. 4 (and leads the top 40-based Pop Songs airplay chart for a fourth week); and DJ Snake's "Let Me Love You," featuring Bieber, drops 7-8, after peaking at No. 4. Drake's "Fake Love" hits a new high on the Hot 100, lifting 10-9. The track pushes 8-6 on Digital Song Sales (111,000, up 39 percent); bullets at No. 9 on Streaming Songs (14.7 million, up 4 percent); and dips 16-18 on Radio Songs but with a 3 percent gain to 51 million. D.R.A.M.'s No. 5-peaking "Broccoli," featuring Lil Yachty, rebounds 15-10 on the Hot 100, led by its 21-5 hike on Digital Song Sales (114,000, up 281 percent), aided by a 69-cent iTunes sale price. Just beyond the Hot 100's top 10, Maroon 5's "Don't Wanna Know," featuring Kendrick Lamar, drops from its No. 8 peak to No. 11, although it leads Radio Songs for a third week (130 million, up 6 percent). Meanwhile, Machine Gun Kelly and Camila Cabello's "Bad Things" descends to No. 12 on the Hot 100 from its No. 9 high but hits the Radio Songs top 10 (11-10; 68 million, up 8 percent). Kelly and Cabello each earn their first Radio Songs top 10 (after Cabello had notched two while she was a member of Fifth Harmony). Plus, three songs reach the Hot 100's top 20 for the first time: Jon Bellion's "All Time Low" (jumping 24-16), Shawn Mendes' "Mercy" (28-17) and Niall Horan's "This Town" (37-20). Find out more Hot 100 news in the weekly "Hot 100 Chart Moves" column later this week, and visit Billboard.com tomorrow (Jan. 4), when all charts, including the Hot 100 in its entirety, will refresh. The Hot 100 and other rankings will also appear in the next issue of Billboard magazine, on sale Friday (Jan. 6).

I feel like theres a conspiray behind these BBH100 chart anomally these days. Any rap songs that have some momentum really gain a jhaksfhjsafb boost and stay in the top very long. I dont consider these rap song as bad song but REALLY there are other than rap song outhere that deserve those places better. Personally I think racist thing campaign is really contrastly showed up here, or American should own their own chart or something like that. IDK i dont really really pay attention on some political issues in america very much and this is just my mind. Sorry. x

eventually the other music genres will catch up to streaming (the driving force of the charts) and there will be more diversity on the charts or at least less stagnation I can't wait till country- and especially rock fans gets that, the charts will be a better (and hopefully less stagnant) place for it.

Who said I like s**t Hungarian music? I hate most of it, bland pop music with equally bland production. I don't know what you consider "eurotrash", so I'm not sure how to reply to that. If you mean stuff like Cascada, I'm pretty sure most people realize that all her songs are the same and don't consider her some musical genius. I don't really care about Japanese and Latin charts, I'm half Canadian which usually mirrors the US charts. I said "every country outside the US + most of the US" because for the past six years Fat Ass Kelly Price has always pulled out the "Pulse is racist and everyone's a Becky who hates anything that isn't white with blonde hair" card whenever someone doesn't like a boring R&B or hip-hop song, but disliking JuJu isn't exactly specific to Pulse. It's a bit tiring reading how people who like female singers aren't allowed to mention if another genre has a bad song because people who listen to Sneakernight don't know anything. The genre itself isn't the problem. Sure, it always had a bunch of horrid songs, but I was happy when 50 Cent blocked Kelly Clarkson... I enjoy hip hop sometimes, but I really can't see the appeal for this current batch. I never said it's super complex music, but EDM is good for dancing at clubs and parties, or singing along to in a car. Not sure what JuJu on This Beat is good for other than creating vines and learning about how we are ugly like our daddies. Maybe someone else is, I can't understand many lyrics under his (their?) slurring. BRB I'm going to go listen to Sit Still Look Pretty while I do my nails I stopped somewhere after you namedropped me because what followed was preposterous. 1. Who said this was about you? Because it isn't. And you're not that important. 2. Show me where I implied it was racist? Don't confuse me for someone else, babe, because I am not the one. No one is infringing upon your right to love generic pop music while hating generic music of other genres. 3. #NotAllPulsePosters

Codex you're doing the most for no damn reason. You're really hurt. Literally throwing a temper tantrum over people acknowledging something you've admitted - this board's general preference for a type of music and musical act. Acknowledging it isn't a personal attack. Go ahead. Like whatever music you like. I just think it's silly how posters take some higher ground when it comes to the type of songs that excel in streaming platforms (mostly hip hop), when they're pussypopping to stuff like Sneakernight. That's the funny part to me. Not your musical preference.
