Chart highlights;
*All three debut songs were from Artists making their first appearance on my chart.
* Escape(the Piña Colada Song)- Rupert Holmes
First time ever at #1 for Rupert Holmes. I especially love the lyrics telling the story in the song. They tried to cheat on each other with each other. Their couldn't be a more perfect melody for this song.
*Heartbreaker - Pat Benatar
one of my favorite scream along songs ever.
* Another Brick In The Wall- Pink Floyd
it's no surprise I do not blaze up to Pink Floyd, but "Run Like Hell" , "Money" and especially this classic will always get my respect.
* Workin' My Way Back To You- The Spinners
One of my favorite Motown meets 70's Disco jams ever. This one eventually goes #1 on my chart in the weeks to come.

Big Clean up this week. six songs go to recurrent heaven. Three of those from the top 20 which makes for some pretty wicked chart action. So let's get right to the debuts. The highest goes to "Loba". After two weeks off the chart the Victimas Del Doctor Cerebro return at #39. At #60 is new K-pop from Weki Meki in the form of the uplifting pop wonder "Dazzle Dazzle" Moving on we got two 80's icons. Huey Lewis and the news at #59 with "While We're Young" and Pet Shop Boys at #51 with "Monkey Business". AT #57 we have new music from Anti-Flag titled "Disease". I'm not even sure if I've charted this band in the past, but this song rocks. Finally the highest debut is from Billie Joe Armstrong. While "Fire Ready Aim" goes recurrent "I Think We're Alone Now" takes it's place. More action in the top 10. New from Sweden is the Symphonic Metal band Edge of Paradise scoring their first top 10 with "Universe", and while the top 5 pretty much stays the same Bleached does move up to #2 with "Somebody Dial 911". Finally we have DIAMANTE holding the crown position with "When I'm Not Around". A bunch of videos and new sleeve art and you'e set to go. Red =debuts. It's strong musically and lyrically and brings back the best of early 2000's hard rock. Speaking of hard rock Stephen Pearcy brings his "Dangerous Thing" into the mix. It's the third track I'm charting off "View To A Thrill". This one has groove, fire and attitude! My next add comes form the dance genre of Italo Disco. New artist Gianni Durante is the buzz on the Italo disco forums with his bullseye hit "My Heart Is On Fire". Of course I'm charting the extended version. My last add is a very special one. Moenia is the latest band to jump on the new NewRetroWave sound. Other bands like Fickle Friends , Vandal Moon and probably the one you all know best from my charts Freeweights all excel in this new 80's retro synthpop style and now the biggest Mexican Electropop band will lead off RetroWave Mexico with their summer ready wonder jam "Summer Drive". This week we take a look at chart 1/26/1980. This week quite a few songs make upward movements including songs that were already on their way down from Cheap Trick, Prince and The Cars. Chart Highlights:
* one debut song from Donna Summer. The top 10 Hot 100 smash "On The Radio" debuts on my chart at #29. * My New #1 and favorite song from the band at that time was "Last Train To London". This was also due to the fact that my dad wouldn't stop playing the ELO greatest hits 8 Track tape of his. I always thought this song went to #1 on Hot 100 but was surprised to know it only reached #39. huh? It was a top 10 in The U.K. and Top 3 in Canada. That's makes more sense. Well look at that. We have a brand new first time top 10 act going all the way to #1. Bleached is an American Indiepop band consisting of sisters Jennifer and Jessica Clavin with Spencer Lere on drums. "Hard To Kill" was the first song to make my chart. A good Indiepop bouncer, but after previewing the whole album I decided "Somebody Dial 911" was my favorite pick and after 25 weeks on the chart they finally grab the crown position. The song has everything you would expect to find on my chart. It's catchy, poppy ,and very melodic with a eargasmic chorus that makes me love the song even more every time I hear it. More indiepop perfection in the top 10 from MisterWives with their latest single "The End", and Ghost cracks the top 5 with "Kiss The Go-Goat". Moving on to the debuts. We got another single from Echosmith titled "Diamonds" This one is actually on the AC charts. Ozzy Osbourne with a little help from Elton John joins the chart action with "Ordinary Man", and our highest debut welcomes back Scott Stapp with his latest rocker "Survivor". A catchy hard rock song that really sounds nothing like Creed, but is still a great song for me to chart. More big moves this week from DIAMANTE, Killers, Kenny Hoopla and my returning to chart song from Victimas Del Doctor Cerebro that is already one notch higher than it's previous peak of #24. Big week for adds ,and we start off with my favorite from CHVRCHES titled "Forever". I had previewed the new album and yet I don't recall this one? Maybe it's one I skipped, but I'm glad it's here because it's perfect Synthpop for 20202. This is also the Jimmy Fallon live performance which sounds amazing. Next comes "It's You" another track off Crazy Lixx's album 'Forever Wild'. This one sounds more like Danger Danger Glam than their harder Metal sound , but it still falls perfect in the Hair Metal genre. El Ultimo Vecino is a band that is always on my chart for their 80's like Gothpop Cure style and this new song is no exception. Except that this time the song was written for a T.V. show called "Looser"about some quirky goth chick. I tried watching the show, but I just couldn't handle the weirdness. That's her on the MV's thumbnail. The coolest thing about it was the theme song "Chica Nueva" . My next song is from Ledgers's latest album. I barely had a chance to preview it and the song "Iconic" was my pick hit. My last add is from The Swedish Glam Metal band Lipz. I've charted them a few times already. Their latest single is another ode to Roxette. This time for the hit song "Dangerous". The song sounds great for the Glam Metal genre, and I'm hoping it does better on my chart than Through Fire's cover? It's certainly more uptempo and more fit for Summer. Anyway, this her third #1 song this year, and going strong. "Survivor" from Scott Stapp inches up to #2, but since that song debuts on my actual top 60, it could drop off by next week. The only new debut this week comes from Kobra and The Lotus with the third single off "Evolution" titled "Thundersmith". I actually dig this one way more than "Get The F U C K Out Of Here" which stalled on this chart at #17, so it's nice to have them back in my top 10. Second week at #1 for Bleached. This song is soooooo catchy I can insert it into any time of my day. Both Whitesnake and Ghost bring some new Metal vibes into the top 5, and crashing the top 10 are the Killers with their new single "Caution". It's already off the #1 slot on Billboard Alternative which I think is ridiculous, but stick around if you want to see go to #1 on my chart. Moving on to this week's debuts. We have a nice little 80's theme going on with debuts from Debbie Gibbson and Stephen Pearcy of Ratt. We also have another Roxette cover song. This time from the Swedish Glam Metal band Lipz. Bananarama moves up to #13 with the (Sakgra PW Elle Extended mix) of "Looking For Someone". This is pure Hi- Energy bliss, and could easily go back into the top 10. and last, but not least CHVRCHES is back with a quick debut for their latest single "Forever". More big moves this week come from Scott Stapp, Alter Bridge, Victimas Del Doctor Cerebro, K-Pop sensations Weki Meki, and The 1975 making an impressive 8 notch jump back up the chart with "Me & You Together Song"which means it still has a good chance to go top 20? HOT LIST: .First off we have brand new Powerpop from the band White Reaper. Their latest single is titled "Real Long Time" and it sounds a lot like Cheap Trick meets The Knack. Loving this one, and its sure to cause big commotion on my weekly chart in the weeks to come.. Hailing from New York we got the Sleeze Metal band WILDSTREET with their latest single "Three Way Ride". Their sound? A mix of Guns N' Roses with Motley Crue lyrics. The first single "Tennessee Cocaine" just missed my top 10, but I'm sure this one will ride to the top. My last add is a fantasy track of an 80's Hi-NRG SAW style remix of the Linkin Park hit "Numb". The single does not exist, but if it did it would have done a lot more damage on my chart than the original "Numb" ever did. Another great chart rolls around this week. Two brand new debuts from current acts bringing the 80's pop sound back to the chart. First we have a second Dua Lipa single titled "Physical". This is a great pop dance song that could have easily been featured on the Flashdance soundtrack.The second debut comes the Swedish Metal band Crazy Lixx. They bring us that 80's AOR style best dished out by Night Ranger and Danger Danger. Moving on we have most of this week's action in the top half of the chart. The top 10 gives us the biggest moves with two new songs cracking the top 10. Both with a Hi-NRG vibe. At #10 we have Andrea Delfino with "Doctor I'm Crazy For Love". This is the first Eurobeat song I have charted since 2005. Back in the early 2000's Avex was releasing so much great Eurobeat that I had to create a separate Eurobeat chart so my regular rock and pop songs would have room to exist. Also back in the top 10 this week is "Looking For Someone" from Bananarama. Only this time it's the (Sakgra PW Elle Extended mix). In short that means 80's Hi -NRG mix. The biggest move within the top 10 comes from The Killers who shoot up to #3 in their 6th week on my chart with "Caution". This means the big fans of Bleached will get only one more week to celebrate "Somebody Dial 911" at #1. The good news is I am already previewing their latest album for another track to chart. What does that mean? First Demi Lovato is destined for some chart action with her new song now that it has gotten something titled "I Love Me (Emo Version feat. Travis Barker)". This sounds a little more Pop rock than Emo, but it does get the job done as far as taking us back to "La La Land". which also means she can set loose her high octane vocals which is what draws me to Demi Lovato time after time. I always thought her vocals belong best to the Rock genre anyway. At camp rock we also had the Jonas Brothers and this week I'm featuring their last single "What A Man Gotta Do". Took me long enough to decipher the melody was taken from "Born To Hand Jive" from Grease but now that I do the song is surely headed to my chart as soon as next week. Finally If you decided to check out the extended version of my chart you also get to listen to my third and favorite new add from Weezer titled simply "Hero". The music video has a concept I have never seen before. Nice to see there are still some fresh new ideas for music videos. The song itself is uptempo and pure old school Weezer which I welcome any day of the week. Ric Ocasek is surley smiling up in cloud 9 when he listens to this song. "Antmusic" was a single off their second record 'Kings of the Wild Frontier'. The music video features the band crashing in a regular disco club to introduce their brand of music "Antmusic". The band would dress up like pirates with Adam Ant as the charismatic front man. Their music was a mix of Post-Punk, New wave ,and even some Funky elements. They would also use a variety of cries, whistles and shouts and incorporate them into the song's melody. Usually in the fade outs and choruses. "Antmusic" remains one of my favorite songs from the band n before Adam went solo. The song reached #2 on the U.K. charts, and #14 on U.S. Mainstream Rock. It was also a top 10 song on my fictional early 80's compiled charts. First thing we notice is a brand new #1 song from The Killers. IMOP Alternative chart prematurely ended its reign at #1, but I feel it it is the best song on the radio right now, and unless Bananarama keep riding the NRG wave to #1 "Caution" should stick around for at least a month at the top spot. We have three debuts this week. Two are hot off my Hot List. One really uptempo one from the Jonas Brothers that should easily out peak "Only Human" and the second one comes from our very own 90's Alternative rock heroes Weezer. Their brand new one is titled "Hero" and I'm loving this one for a future #1 on my chart. My last debut comes in at #60. It's the latest single from White Reaper titled "Real Long Time". This one screams Powerpop and should quite effortlessly ride into my top 10 in the weeks to come. HOT LIST: let's start this week's adds with a fourth track off Green Day's latest album. This one is titled Meet Me On The Roof. Great song sounding a bit like Foxboro Hot Tubs style. I thought this was gonna be single #3 since it already has a music video. Guess I'll get started on it early. Haley Williams is next with a track off her solo album . After previewing the album I'm already liking a few songs. Track number 6 titled " Dead Horse" sounds like something that could have been on "After Laughter". Let's make this one Add number 2. My last add is something I would eventually chart, but it just so happens that I discovered it while listening to the songs on our own Rock Madness tournament rank down. Interestingly enough the song is from Dreamcatcher A J-pop girl group who incorporates Metal aspects into their Pop music. The second song from the "Rock Madness" tournaments comes in at #8. Did you guess which one it was? of course it was gonna be Slift - Ummon. This song might fall into some progressive rock genre i know little about, but to me it was Pure metal. Little of that Black Sabbath Metal to be exact. I'm posting this live video cuz it sounds exactly like the studio version. Also I though a chick was doing back ups, but it's apparently the bassist? Anyway, this performance has just about the same amount of fire as the song so enjoy. I'm also wondering if one of the members I tag submitted this song or if I'm gonna be pleasantly surprised to find out who it is? My next Metal jam comes the Black/Death metal band ÆMBER. The lead singer Laurhell is doing some great duo vocals. Demonic and Angelic and I wonder if they got their name from KeyForge or is ÆMBER some other kind of realm. What ever the case may be the song is Fire fierce and was presented as one of those youtube adds right before I previewed "Ummon". The last week of May brings us another great chart for The Killers. "Caution" hangs on to #1, but Bananarama is going strong to #3 and in the midst of it all Diamante keeps a strong hold at #2. MisterWives goes top 5 with "The End" and "Loba" cracks the top 10 after getting a proper music video ,and second wind on my chart. The three debuts this week come from different sides of the music world. At #59 we have the second single from New York's very own Sleaze Metal kings Wildstreet. Their latest single is aptly titled "Three Way Ride". The highest debut goes to Italo Disco superstars ItaLove. Their latest single "Hold The Line" reminds us of Mike Mareen's club classic "Love Spy". The highest debut and surprise song of the week goes to Poppy and her single " Fill The Crown". This songs has two elements I love. Perfect pop vibes from Poppy and a fierce Metal fusion from some vocalist that sounds a bit like Marilyn Manson. I doubt it's him, but the song really hits best of both Pop and Metal worlds. Red =debuts. Purple = significant chart moves, and this () means song's highest peak to date. Sliding in into June 2020 we find The Killers shy of a month at #1 with "Caution". At #2 we see a song destined to become my favorite Bananarama disco smack ever and after a 5 week hold at #2 Diamante slips to #3. Two nice jumps into the top 10. At #8 we have "Somebody New" A Struts track reminding a lot of Queen's Piano Power Rock ballads ,and Hunny scoring their first top 10 ever on my chart with "Saturday Night". Both this one ,and "Somebody Dial 911" made appearances on our own Summer madness tournament which gives them a slight push up the chart. Let's get on to the week's debuts. Demi Lovato is back with a new Emo remix of her hit "I Love Me". We also have a late entry from LEDGER's 2019 album , and a track titled aptly enough "Iconic" and a fantasy remix track of the Linkin Park hit "Numb". I was never a big fan of the original but somehow this one hits my Pet Shop Boys dial with this fan made Youtube remix called simply "80's Remix". More action this week comes with new melodic rock hits from Crazy Lixx , Midnight City, and Diamante, some Spanish poprock from Grises, and once again Weezer rock up another ten notches up the chart with "Hero" Red =debuts. First we have The Pretty Reckless with Death By Rock and Roll. This is an amazing rock jam , and I'm just gonna jump this into my Top 60 because it's moving up so quick on the Active chart that it will probably be on a down ward spiral before It even reaches my top 10. Up next comes The 1975 - If You're To Shy (Let Me Know). Been waiting for this one to start charting and here we go. last ,but not least are The Sounds with" . I've been charting this Swedish New Wave band for years. From their big hits like "Painted By Numbers' to movie soundtrack songs like "Something To Die For". They are pretty popular in Mexico for their throwback 80's Blondie style. Once again I've saved my favorite new add for the extended version of my chart. It's the brand new song by The Rolling Stones. A lot of songs have been released with this whole Covid-19 theme in mind, but I think "Living In A Ghost Town" tackles it the best without sounding silly. It has some really good lyrics,and at the same time keeping with a classic blusey rock style of the band. The band Loud Lion have featured songs on "The HIlls Have Eyes II, Ball Of Fury, and others. Their style sounds like Def Leppard in their prime with a young sounding Joe Elliott. When I first heard "Lion Eyes" I thought they might have been Def leppard. It's a picture perfect re imagining of "Photograph", but when the video for "Love Will Break Your Heart" was released everything finally came to light. It does leave me with a slight problem since I also want to take "Looking For Someone" to #1. I might squeeze it in for one week , and then bring back the Killers? Stay tuned |

An exciting new week as Bananrama score their first ever #1 song on my chart with "Looking For Someone". I actually love both the single and NRG versions so I made a remix of my own keeping the guitars and chimes during the verses and adding the galloping NRG beats during the chorus. I kept the same breakdown, but fade out with the NRG synths. All this work had to get to #1 this week. MisterWives move up to #3 with "The End" ,and with a brand new album on the way the band is sure to keep themselves present on my chart for the rest of the year. One new song crashes the top 10. Its the latest from DIAMANTE titled "Obvious" She is actually putting out new music every month , but I'll eventually catch up with her. This week she gets the award for artist with two songs in the top 10. A lot more action, but let's get to the three debuts of the week. The highest goes to The Pretty Reckless for "Death by Rock and Roll" . We also have a new single from DREAMCATCHER titled "Endless Night」".This one blends in a little Metal with their K-Pop sound. The last debut goes to The 1975 who this week replace themselves on the chart with "If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know). That song kicks out "Me & You Together Song" ,and I'm thinking they go top 10 with this new one. Last ,but not least are this week's chart HOT SHOTS from Demi Lovato, Kenny Hoopla, Weezer, and Echosmith who are finally gaining some momentum with "Diamonds". Red =debuts. You know the story for this one ,and this week it keeps DIAMANTE from the top spot. We have four new Metal songs from different parts of the world. First we stop off at Sweden with Shiraz Lane. This time they take us back to 1988 for some new Glam Metal style for the banger "Do You". Next we head off to Italy with the symphonic metal band FROZEN CROWN ,and their brand new single "In The Dark". New Week, New Chart. Getting right into the action. Bananarama grab a strong hold at #1 keeping The Killers at #2 for a second week. No songs enter the top 10 this week, but we do have "Somebody New" from The Struts moving into #4, and I must add that the version I'm charting is not the piano ballad featured in the Music video, but rather the stronger powerballad from the record. Makes sense right? "Obvious" from Diamante also makes a nice move to #7. Getting into this week's videos. Starting off the action at #60 is the latest from Haley Williams titled "Dead Horse", but don't let the title fool you, because this one is a bop. For our second debut we go to Twenty One Pilots with a late debut and current #1 song on the Alternative chart titled "Level Of Concern", and last but not least are the British Rock icons form literally every music era since the 60's. The Rolling Stones roll back on my chart with "Living In A Ghost Town". My Spotlight add in the brand new song from the Spanish pop band Sidonie. It seems the band ABBA is very popular in Spain and many await for them to reunite and tour again. A lot of past bands have based their style on the poppy sound of ABBA. La Oreja De Van Gogh being the most popular. Sidonie have based their upcoming new album title as a homage to ABBA titled "El Regresso De ABBA" (The Return of ABBA). There is also a Novel with the same title out by the band's leader. Kimberly Tell who does the French speaking parts is a Spanish Dancer with English and Danish roots. She is suppose to be the ABBA persona in the song. The song has that ABBA style like "Bang A Boomerang" Very bass driven ,and insanely catchy. If you dig Spanish porock ,and ABBA give it a spin. My next two adds need little introduction. DIAMANTE back with single #3 for 2020. This is one is titled "Serves You Right". Next we go to Stand Atlantic and the very poprocking title track "Skinny Dipping". We have another exciting chart this week as The Killers reclaim their #1 position again with "Caution". No new songs in the top 5, but we do have two entering the top 10. First is it coincidence or just great planning? I got Kenny Hoopla crashing in at #10 just like on The Alt chart. Also I have the sixth top 10 single for English Poprock band Pale Waves as "Drive" cruises up two notches to #9. Getting into the debuts. I count three. at #59 is the comeback hit for Nada Surf titled "How Much Love". This one reminds me of my favorite Nada Surf hit "Always Love". Moving on we have single number three for the Brazilian Metal band Armored Dawn. Love the title of this one "Zombie Viking", and the highest debut goes to Mexican Synthpop band Moenia. They are back with a great summer retrowave vibe titled "Summer Drive". The song is sung in Spanish, but there is female backups singing "Summer Drive" towards the end. This week's big moves are few and belong to The Pretty Reckless, ItaLove, The Stones. and Twenty One Pilots who make a nice eight notch jump to #43. As always Red =debuts. It's also sung partly in English, and the buzz is it could be their biggest hit yet. It's also the first time I'm charting a male sung K-pop song. My surprise add might not be such a surprise since it was my #1 song in Rock Madness Seed 3 RD we just concluded. It's very 80's , very Devo, and well that's all I really need to chart it don't I? One hell of a chart this week. Action everywhere. Starting off in the top 10 as The Strokes get another top 10 song on my charts. I don't know why Alt only has two, but I gave top 10 to five of their songs. This one would make six. Big moves on the top 5 as "Obvious" grabs the #4 slot ,and we have some new for 2020 Eurobeat at #2. Fast electronic Hi- Energy music with psycho bpms was always a favorite dance genre of mine, and it could go to #1? getting on to the debuts. As you can see we have four this week. Including Spanish Pop from Sidonie, new Erasure, Stand Atlantic who have another new song I'm featuring in my HOT LIST, and DIAMANTE's "Serves You Right". This week is one of my favorites of the whole year as I discovered both new Hair Metal and Eurobeat music..  We have new music all over the place, but this week belongs to a Eurobeat comeback spotlight as the first Eurobeat song goes to the top of my chart since 2008. My new #1 song "Doctor I'm Crazy For You" is from Andrea Delfino best known for her songs on Saifam records back then only singing under the alias Andrea. The song written by Roberto Gabrielli of HRG Attack label fame has all the NRG you can find in a typical melodic girly Eurobeat song, but adds a lot of special instrumental layers and vocal effects giving the song the horse Power and BPMs needed for a proper bass driven song which I seem to be forever addicted to. Also cracking the top 5 this week is Pale Waves with "Drive". Incidentally that song sounds great on a midnight ride down the coast. More action in the top 10 goes to "High School Queen" and "Give Me Love" making a nice four notch jump to #8. Let's get to our three debuts this week. Green Day return with another track off their latest album. This time around I'm giving chart action to "Meet Me On The Roof". At #59 is new Pop artist Ava Max. I love how she brings the guitar solo back into poptart with "Kings & Queens" making the song my favorite Pop song of the week. The highest debut goes to Neon Trees for their new single "New Best Friend" . A few more spotlights on the chart include "Numb" getting a new peak on my personal chart with a Hi- NRG remix of the song titled "80's remix". Also both Bananarama ,and Bleached are getting ready to go recurrent with two of the biggest contenders for song of the year, and finally how long can Diamante keep three songs on my chart? First is Elena Ferretti responsible for one half of Gipsy & Queen, Macho Gang and the voice behind the famous songs of Sophie, Rose, Alexis and AbeatC's Queen of Times among countless more. She returns on the Roberto Gabrielli Label GReurosound lending her vocals to the song "Lady Shy". This one is even more faster and aggressive than Andrea Definog's song. Welcome to a new chart week. This week my top 4 songs all remain the same as last week. Including Andrea Defino's Eurobeat wondercharm "Doctor I'm Crazy For Love", but we do have "how will i rest in peace if i'm buried by a highway?//" in the top 5, and we also have one new song in the top 10 from 1988. It's from the sophistipop band Prefab Sprout and after fourteen weeks on the climb they score their first top 10 ever with "The King of Rock N' Roll" This week we also have 5 big debuts. At #60 we have the return of Rick Springfield with the Covid-19 inspired "The Wall Will Fall" also in the song is a guest cameo vocal from Richard Marx. #59 brings us rocks hottest couple. Machine Gun Kelly teams up with Megan Fox on the mega catchy "Bloody Valentine". Megan doesn't actually do any singing , but she looks lip syncing Kelly's vocals. Just outside the top 50 is "Noises" from Nightwish. A former #1 on my New Metal music chart. The highest debuts are also from last week's HOT LIST. At #50, and I just couldn't make up my mind which Dave Rodgers song to debut so I compiled all three into a mini E.P.. For The Highest debut we go to the Glam Metal sound of the late 80's with Tokyo Motor Fist. These tracks have been on fire on my playlist all week. You have Ted Poley of Danger Danger on vocals ,and Steve Brown of Trixter on guitar. The first of many tracks I'll be charting debuts way up at #41. It's a rock anthem titled "Youngblood". The style. This one ooozes of a certain Disco melody served up on many pop hits of yester year. Upbeat and very catchy. I Discovered a new Pearl Jam track on Canada Rock chart titled "Quick Exit" i liked this one on first listen. It sounds like old Pearl jam meets new Pearl Jam. This one also has a coool 70's MEtal vibe to it and I'm loving the guitar solo. My next add is on the label Believe Music. It's the latest from Finland's Hair Metal band Shiraz Lane. This one climbed as high as #4 on my Metal Chart and it's just too Glamriffic to not cruise over to the top 60. Music video included. My final add is from my new favorite album of 2020 from Tokyo Motor Fist. This brand new track "Monster In Me" could turn out to be my favorite of the album. I never realized how much Danger Danger sounded like Def Leppard til now. The chorus has a mean "Photograph" vibe. Cowbell and all. Gianna Durante - My Heart Is On Fire This week's New Metal Chart is oozing with new music. Including my brand new number #1 song from Frontiers Records Music label. This song is pure AOR majestic Metal. You have SIXTY Frontiers artists all lending their vocals and instrumental talents on this new Covid -19 inspired song "Push Through". The song feels like a mid 80's album rock tune with strong Journey bassline pushing it through to the end. Very anthemic , epic, and if you like vocal variety this one is crazee. You also have a variety of Guitar solo and styles. The music video has a link if you wanna see the names of the artists involved. Most are from bands I've charted. Including Passion, Edge of Paradise, Vega, Hardline and L.A. Guns just to name a few. On to a couple more debuts. Next up is the the rock band Hell In The Club. They are on Frontiers Records Music and I've charted them a couple of times. I just heard "We’ll Never Leave the Castle" today, but I'm already give it fierce spin action, and it makes a quick appearance at #10. I have a Tokyo Motor Fist song in my Top 60, one in my Hot List so why not one more in New Metal Chart. Track #4 has a great Def Leppard sound in the chorus and backup and already already has an official audio video too. Love the promotion the label is giving the album too.  1. Love my chart this week. A lot of great movement all over the place so let's get right to it. Eurobeat rules my world for a third week in the row with Andrea Delfino holding strongly to #1, but at the same time DIAMANTE goes top 3, and poses the biggest threat for her. We also have strong Rock music from Kenny Hoopla and Pretty Boy Floyd closing in, and Pretty Reckless who crashes our top 10 this week. This is also Active chart's #1 song, which means it will probably make a big move next week on my chart as well. Let's get into our three debuts. At #60 we got some new Boy band K-Pop from Day6. They usually bring on a more Poprock flavor to the game, but this time they take it down a few with this melodic pop song titled "Zombie". At #59 is another single off the Tokyo Motor Fist album. The song "Monster In Me reminds me a lot of "Photograph", and that will prove to be this song's triumphant peak before it's all done. The highest debut goes to MisterWives for their brand new single "Rock Bottom". This one could turn out to be one on their biggest hits on my charts, because it bops like no one's business. More action with big moves from ItaLove, Dave Rodgers, The Rolling Stones, Machine Gun Kelly, and this week's chart slayer Tokyo Motor Fist's "Youngblood". As always Red =debuts. We start off this week's chart highlights with a brand new #1 song from Diamante. What's that? Like 5 times she has gone #1 on my chart? We have another of my favorite Top 10 staples coming in at #10. It's "Hold The Line". the latest song from Swedish Hi-NRG retro group ItaLove. Let's get into the four debuts. K-POP superstars A-PINK are back with "(Dumhdurum)". I love this genre. Half the time Idk what the song is even about, and yet the melodies and vocals draw me in every time. at #59 we have our indiepop resident band Saint Motel returning with "Preach", and our two highest debuts go to some new Hair Metal vibes. From Sweden we have the ultra catchy "Do You" from Shiraz Lane. Diamante's "Obvious" also uses the line "Do You" in a similar fashion when peaking the chorus. Now to the highest debut. Once again new Metal with a fun parody vibe from Steel Panther makes its way onto my chart. This song has a pretty great hook, but an even better rock n roll theme ,and even better music video. The song has two crazy music videos, so take your pick. The charts continues with some massive chart leaps from Machine Gun Kelly, Dave Rodgers, MisterWives and Tokyo Motor Fist.  best live version of the song on youtube and love the wind in her hair. These are the guys responsible for that one and they are back with that Powerpop Cheap Trick sounds of the 80's . My next add is from P ale Waves. This time I'm adding " Heavenly". The latest song in their ever growing aesthetic 80's wonderjams discography. This band has never really been absent for my charts have they? Up next we have ex- Wonder Girls member SUNMI. Last year I charted "Siren" which went top 20 on my personal charts. This week I'm adding her new single "ipporappippam(보라빛 밤)". The title means "Purple Knight" which really doesn't shed any light as to what the songs about, but its has found its way to my adds list, because of that hook driven retro beat and great vocals. My last add. The surprise add comes from Sweden's own Grand Design. The band models their sound after Def Leppard. Get it? The Grand hard rock design. My Birthday week brings a list full of action and great music. First and Foremost my Queen of Rock DIAMANTE hangs strong at #1 for a second week with "Obvious". New to the top 5 is The Pretty Reckless with "Death by Rock and Roll" while both Kennyhoopla and Pretty Boy Floyd are moving into this week's Top 3. Weezer takes their new single "Hero" into the top 10, and just outside of the top 10 are Twenty One Pilots with their mega Chart buster "Level Of Concern". Moving on to this week's debuts. Aly & A.J. make a comeback to the chart with this week's new dance track "Joan of Ark On The Dance Floor". At #59 is new comer Declan McKenna with "The Key To Life On Earth", and the highest debut goes to the iconic Spanish Rock band Victimas Del Doctor Cerebro. Their prior single "Choke" was a great sounding song, and I gave it chart action,but this new one "Leave Me Alone" reminds me so much of The 1975 "Love Me" in that guitar hook that is sure to go top 10 in no time. This week's mystery add is one from Drab Majesty. This musical act has been slaying on the PULSE rock tournaments and the song "Elipsis" has finally found its way on to my HOT LIST. This one has an amazing 80's New Wave/Synthpop feel to it. Music and Vocals giving it a sure fire push to the top of my charts. The highest goes to icons Whitesnake. They have released The Rock Album on Rhino records. A compilation of all their popular hits plus a new song "Always The Same". This one captures that flawless Glam Metal sound they had back ion 1987. Next up on Frontiers Records is the new band Perfect Plan. Their sound is modeled after the 70's Rock sound of Foreigner. So much that the first line of the song is a homage to " Waiting For A Girl Like You". Great melodic rock that has a strong chance of cruising up to my HOT LIST in the weeks to come. The last debut is from Slipknot's frontman Corey Taylor. His new single "Black Eyes Blue" is a great sounding Rock song. Crazily enough its gives me Goo Goo Dolls vibes. Especially in the chorus peak. I hear a little of "Slide" meets "Black Balloon", and I think that's exactly why I easily dove into this one. The biggest chart highlights go to Japan as once again my top 3 Metal songs are from the J-Metal sound with Unlucky Morpheus taking the crown for their hit 瀧夜叉姫. Sorry but I still can't translate it. Welcome to a new chart week. This week we have four new exiting debuts so lets get right into those. Starting it all off at #60 we have newcomers Wooze and their very Devo sounding "I'll Have What She's Having". #59 welcomes back Fickle Friends with their new single "Pretty Great". Back on the chart in less than a month after dropping off with "Drive" is another single by Pale Waves titled "Heavenly". This one is more from the 80's retro Poprock style. The highest debut goes to Sweden's Grand Design. The first single off their new album 'V' is the hard rocking "Right Away'. Moving into this week's top 10 we have "Obvious" holding down the #1 position. Kenny Hoopla becomes the first victim to be shut out of #1, but Pretty Boy Floyd move into that #2 position. Is their "High School Queen" strong enough to knock out The Rock Queen DIAMANTE? We also have two songs cracking the top 10. "Level of Concern" and Billie Joe Armstrong making a nice jump to #9 with his cover of "I Think We're Alone Now". More exciting moves from all your favorite jams including a surprising jump into the top 20 for "Kiss & Tell'. On a final note I kept "When I'm Not Around" on the chart for a 30th week making my top 3 of 2020 so far all female vocal fire songs. So far she has scored two prior hits. "Wrecking Ball" and the top 10 smash " See You Again". I have a strong feeling she is top 10 bound with this new retro bop titled "Midnight Sky'. That background 80's beat really lets the song's lyrics flow smoothly. Up next we have Vandal Moon bringing on the 80's Darkwave vibe with "Dead". This was also one of my submissions for the latest Rock Tournaments. It ended with a pretty decent showing now I'm setting it lose on a chart where it can really do some damage. From Century Media Records comes the Swedish -based occult-rock act Lucifer I'm really digging the psychedelic vibe on their new single "Midnight Phantom". My last add should come as no surprise since I already praised this song on it's own thread. It's the Charlie Daniels Band classic "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" done in hard Rock mode from the iconic Nickelback. I love how they change the lyrics around to fit the story around a guitarist who meets with the devil, and they have a guitar shredding showdown. The guitar works on this are amazing and Chad sounds really great with his Devilish delivery of the vocals. This would actually be my #1 song on the Metal chart for weeks to come, but I wanna start charting right away, because its basically one huge guitar solo and that animated MV rulze. Welcome to another week of a list of the songs that get the most spins on my playlists. Starting off the action is DIAMANTE. One of the singles off her upcoming album has spent a whole month at the top of my chart. Also in the top 3 are Pretty Boy Floyd, and Pretty Reckless , and cracking the top 5 this week is "Hero" the new song from Weezer. We also got one new entry into the top 10, and it comes from Tokyo Motor Fist for their new single "Youngblood". Moving on to debuts. coming in at #59 is new Italo Disco style from Gianni Durante with a 12' titled "My Heart Is On Fire". The Killers return with "My Soul's Own Warning" at #54, and my highest debut this week is the smoking new song from Nickelback. This time its a new take of the Charlie Daniels Band classic "The Devil Went Down To Georgia". It's not really a true cover because Nickelback changes the original Violin showdown to Guitar showdown between Johnny and The Devil. This is actually the reason I loved the song on first listen. That ,and because it's basically one huge Guitar solo showdown. Ok the rest of the chart features big moves from all your favs including new music from Saint Motel, fierce new rock from Grand Design, Demi Lovato, and Angels & Airwaves who are only a hand full of slots away from scoring their first ever Top 10 song on my charts. This one is titled "buzz cut" ,and I might end up liking it more than "loneliness for love". It's got a fresh poprock vibe that is catchy ,and melodic. A perfect cool drink to cool off this summer heat. Speaking of Hot we have Jass Reyes, and the guys of Playa Limbo back with a brand new steamy Spanish pop heat in the form of "Feroz". The theme of the song is Werewoman, and Jass actually goes through the transformation throughout the hot disco beat of the song. Thinking of maybe entering this one into Red 's pop tournamant? maybe? My mystery add this week is from none other than Fitz and The Tantrums. While I just couldn't get into their new brand of POp featured on their new album I did find a song with some Neon Trees elements to it. The song actually got a lyric video and sounds the most Fitz I've heard them sound in a while. Its from late last year so I'm wondering if they wanted it to be one of the actual first singles? The title of the song "OCD" isn't the best around. I thought it was "Old CDs" which would have made more sense. Listen to the chorus and tell me no. The band has released seven albums, but three of those without Ted as lead singer. The band had another lead singer Paul Robert Laine for eleven years before Ted Poley returned in 2009 on the album 'Revolve'. This album was a return to the band's old 1989 style as was most evident on the album's lead single "Hearts On A Highway" . They have been performing "Hearts On A Highway" all over Europe. It's most memorable stage performance was during Sweden's VÄSBY ROCK FESTIVAL of 2015 where they headlined with W.A.S.P. "Hearts On A Highway" spent seven weeks at the top of my chart in 2009 and became my second favorite song of theirs' after "Don't Blame It On Love". If I were to do a Danger Danger Top 10 songs this would be #2. This is one hell of a melodic Rock ride with lyrics very much in the theme of Rod Stewart's "Young Turks". We have new music all over the place, but this week belongs to a Eurobeat comeback spotlight as the first Eurobeat song goes to the top of my chart since 2008. My new #1 song "Doctor I'm Crazy For You" is from Andrea Delfino best known for her songs on Saifam records back then only singing under the alias Andrea. The song written by Roberto Gabrielli of HRG Attack label fame has all the NRG you can find in a typical melodic girly Eurobeat song, but adds a lot of special instrumental layers and vocal effects giving the song the horse Power and BPMs needed for a proper bass driven song which I seem to be forever addicted to. Also cracking the top 5 this week is Pale Waves with "Drive". Incidentally that song sounds great on a midnight ride down the coast. More action in the top 10 goes to "High School Queen" and "Give Me Love" making a nice four notch jump to #8. Let's get to our three debuts this week. Green Day return with another track off their latest album. This time around I'm giving chart action to "Meet Me On The Roof". At #59 is new Pop artist Ava Max. I love how she brings the guitar solo back into poptart with "Kings & Queens" making the song my favorite Pop song of the week. The highest debut goes to Neon Trees for their new single "New Best Friend" . A few more spotlights on the chart include "Numb" getting a new peak on my personal chart with a Hi- NRG remix of the song titled "80's remix". Also both Bananarama ,and Bleached are getting ready to go recurrent with two of the biggest contenders for song of the year, and finally how long can Diamante keep three songs on my chart? The HOT LIST continues the spotlight on Eurobeat with a little history about the two big icons returning to my chart . As always Red =debuts.
