Out today and #1 on US iTunes. I haven't had a chance to listen yet. Any standouts to be looking for? Fire, Eyes On You, Wicked Love, Saint Honesty, and Orpheus stood out to me on first listen!

Orpheus is IT for me. What a song. I had a moment with it last night listening to it for the first time - practically bawled my eyes out. My top three are Orpheus, Eyes On Me, and Wicked Love. If she ever does a straight-up rock song and it sounds like Eyes On Me, I'm all for it. I love the rest of the songs but I think Miss Simone and Poetry By Dead Men are the only two that don't stand out for me, at least not yet. Thank you, Sara. You are perfect.

The fact that this is a break up album about missing Barack Obama is absolutely genius.

I didn't much care for this outside of "Fire" and "Saint Honesty."

This is a very nice listen. She was wise to seek out T-Bone Burnett. The rawer production style allows her voice to really shine on these songs. My highlights:
1. No Such Thing (my easy favorite) 2. If I Can't Have You (bluesy and soulful) 3. A Safe Place To Land (gorgeous) 4. St. Honesty 5. Miss Simone 6. Armor

I loved how they used "She Used to Be Mine" for the Theresa May skit last night.

Okay I’m really into this. A little moodier and slower than her past albums, but that’s not a bad thing; just means I’ll be listening to it in a different mental state than some of her other work

Ouch. I thought she could do better than that but I guess with no hit single before the album, no one even knew the album was coming.

Someone Who Loves Me...I slept on that so hard. I put it as number 1 actually. I must not have been paying attention during the first listen. So, I have 7 standouts but there were no bad songs. If I have a least favorite, it's probably Fire, actually.

This is a stunning album. On first listen I was focusing on how different it was from her previous albums but it really clicked for me on second listen. Loved all the promo this past week, especially that rendition of Saint Honesty on SNL! That high note Anybody get tickets for her tour?

I, too, was thrown off by the less polished, less pop production, (because I’m basic hehe) but once I gave it a second spin the standouts really hit me:
My easy favorite is No Such Thing too! Gah, so gorgeous. I also love Saint Honesty.
- If I Cant Have You (runner up to NST) - Orpheus - Miss Simone - Someone Who Loves Me - Wicked Love
Actually, the only ones I skip are Fire and Armor! Though Armor has caught me a couple times and been very catchy.

“Someone Who Loves Me” is the standout track for me. I love the album. The only song I think is genuinely bad is “Armour.”

The album's great, but I expected that. The only album by her I'm not too crazy about overall is her first one. The songs I keep going back to are: Armor, No Such Thing, Fire, Orpheus, IICHY, and St. Honesty.

"If I Can't Have You" is amazing, it sounds like a lost Carole King song from the 70s. Love it so much and her vocals are great.
"Fire" is great, should've been the lead single and it's a fresher sound for her than "Armor" imo. I also love the lullaby-esque production of "No Such Thing."
"Eyes on You" reminded me of "Maria" by Blondie, very nice.
"Wicked Love" is the closest to the sound of the first two albums, a cute throwback.
"Saint Honesty" stands out and in a good way. I like the Jazzy sound.
The rest kinda put me to sleep sorry. Too Norah Jones.

"If I Can't Have You" is my favorite song of the year so far. I wish that would be a single. Album was pretty solid overall

I've gone back to this album and it's actually even stronger than I realized. Really feeling Wicked Love and Eyes on Me, which I kinda ignored before. I will just pretend the album starts with No Such Thing. But, there is SO much subtle production work requiring a good pair of headphones throughout this album. T-Bone REALLY did his thing and brought out the best in her vocals, as well. He can stay. Wicked Love especially has a lot of things going on production-wise beneath the surface, but everything is out of the way for Sara's vocals. I think this album is one of the best of the year, so far. Orpheus almost brings me to tears. I know that Sara is recognized for her talent and has had a couple hits and accolades and Grammy noms and Broadway acclaim, but I still feel she is massively underrated somehow.

Wicked Love, Eyes On Me, and Orpheus are definitely in my top five on the album. Although I love the album, I don't think it's as immediate as The Blessed Unrest. Not a complaint, just an observation, at least that's how I feel. Can't wait to see her live and with Emily King opening, too. I expect Emily to join her on Wicked Love. And yes, Orpheus brings me to tears every time I listen to it. First time I heard it live, that's exactly what happened. What a song.
