insert code here It looks like Shape of You is set to be #1 in Radio for quite a few weeks and might actually surpass CSTF!'s peak audience in a few days. It remains to be seen if IDWLF and LOB have actually reached their peaks.

Million Reasons is almost Top 50. It should definitely rebound on the Hot 100 next week.

I think LOTB is done because it already lost audience from previous days

And we get Lorde's new single and video on Friday! It may have a radio deal? Word is out that it's actually releasing at 8am in New Zealand on Friday, which is 2pm EST tomorrow. No word on a radio deal, though. I hope so!

To those people who do predictions and work with the chart formula - can someone please calculate what position I Don't Wanna Live Forever would be in if it didn't have Spotify? :)

"Shape Of You" STILL is making noticeable gains on the radio goddamn... Still? The reality is it has only been out a couple of months. The radio gains aren't surprising. To me the big surprise is its longevity at the top of iTunes.

To me the big surprise is its longevity at the top of iTunes. The comment isn't because of the song's age, but because of where it's at. It's already at the summit with a large lead, and it's still getting gains that any other song would get.

It makes sense if you look at the metrics, though. It's Top 40 bullet is way down from where it was now that it's at #1. It only hit #1 at Hot AC within the past week. It isn't even top 10 at Rhythmic yet, so of course it's growing there. It just now made the top 10 at AC, so it's still growing there, too. Why would anyone think it had peaked? It will become a big stagnant at Top 40 and Hot AC very soon, but it will keep growing at Rhythmic and AC for a bit.

Does anyone else feel like Million Reasons is functioning similarly to U + Ur Hand by Pink? Both songs are having an unexpected second life (in different ways) for an artist who seemed to have already lost their luster as a pop star. UUH completely turned around Pink's career. It'd be great if MR could do the same for Gaga and lead to her making a bigger comeback.

Sorry for going slightly off-topic, but I wasn't there, paying attention to the music industry back then and don't know what the situation was, I thought that she was doing fine at that point? "Stupid Girls" and "Who Knew", two singles before "U + Ur Hand" were both hits. I thought that Gaga is in a worse position because her last two (commercial, not counting the ones with Tony Bennet) singles flopped ("G.U.Y." and "Perfect Illusion").

It peaked around #13 or so and I think it was because of its debut (stalled at #17 on pop). And WK was released before U+UH and went unnoticed but after the success of the latter it was re-released and became a hit.

That's surprising because it did make the year end list. A song that hit #96 on the year-end list shouldn't be considered a hit (no pun intended).

Stupid Girls performed a bit like Perfect Illusion actually. Lead single got some early attention but missed the top ten and didn't last.
It's also worth noting that Pink's previous album had been a disappointment commercially.

According to today's kworb US Radio Update, Shape of You's peak radio update has surpassed the one that Can´t Stop the Feeling! accomplished. I Feel It Coming, That's What I Like and Down had strong daily updates, even if the first and third are with an asterisk.

Stupid Girls was here today, gone tomorrow, just like Never Again, Gimme More, Perfect Illusion, Focus, etc. The fact that it even made the year end chart is a testament to how meaningless the year end charts and chart positions even are when decided what is a hit and what isn't.

"SG" managed to get 11 weeks in the top 40, though. That's certainly more than "PI," and I think it's a few more than "GM" as well despite that one peaking at #3.
