I wonder where Million Reasons is, I hope it holds well or only has a minimal drop. It's drop last week was disappointing to see. Holds at #30

IDK if this is the place to talk about it but does anyone know what Million Reasons needs to do in order to hit the year end list? It kinda blew 4 weeks in 2016 and so if it can't spend awhile in the top 50 it could end up missing, which would be unfortunate.

I bet they wished they had a better name. They do. They said in their Billboard interview last year that it was a dumb name they regret...neither one of them even smokes! I actually like their name. And I never thought it was a joke name, if so, where is the joke? I think it's catchy.

Haha! No Shether.
IRL, nobody is going to stand for this level of disrespect to a legend like Minaj.
Remy Ma has no career and her diss track has no audience. :) :) :)

The better question is why the guy thought it would debut that high. It had a paltry half-million streams on YT at most, had a forecasted 10-15k sales, which might only be enough to scrape the chart, Spotify is negligible, and so is radio.

"Million Reasons" has been doing really well on the radio. It could potentially gain again.

Why didn't Shether make it? That song has no place outside of Twitter.

Why didn't Shether make it? That song has no place outside of Twitter. Bingo. Shether will most likely not hit the Hot 100, or if it does, it'll peak somewhere around the bottom. As the track only has little streaming and some hype (mostly from Nicki and Remy fans fighting like idiots on Twitter). Unfortunately, Shether is not a radio friendly track. It's explicit and over 7 minutes long, so no radio station is gonna play it. And people won't want to stream it very often, as it's too long and not catchy enough for multiple listens. And sales are non-existent.

Shether was fun the first time but I have no reason to play the track again. Already heard what Remy had to say and LOL'd, but it's not a track I can see radio playing.
I wish Nicki made a response last week, but at the same time it's clear that Shether is gonna be a shortlived thing, with no effect on her career. Bring on that new album.

If Remy dropped "Shether" to streaming platforms like Drake did with "Back to Back", it probably would have cracked the Top 100 this week.

It's interesting that most big streaming hits from hip hop genre drop pretty fast after they start declining. This week Black Beatles drops 16-29 and Caroline 24-38

donaldbathe: Hi! The posts from your thread 'hot/top 100' were merged into this thread, which is the discussion of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The reason of this is because it's not necessary to create a new thread if you have a question related to the songs that could or could not make in the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That said, a new thread of the Billboard Hot 100 chart is created (usually on Tuesday) every week in this part of the forum after the latest Billboard Hot 100 chart is revealed, so if you still have any question about it, you can do them in the current Billboard Hot 100 discussion thread and any poster could solve them.

There's a chart that Billboard publishes each week that's called Radio Songs ( Radio Songs) that shows the Top 50 songs with the highest audience from all radio stations in the US during the tracking week (that runs from Monday to Sunday). Basically, you want to compare Radio Songs and the Hot 100 to see whether songs charting in the former are charting in the latter. Since radio airplay is one of the three major components that are taken into account to determine the weekly Hot 100, most songs that appear in Radio Songs also tend to appear in the Hot 100. Except might be songs that are too new and didn't manage to enough digital sales and streams, which happen to be the other two component taken into account for the Hot 100 calculation of points for each song. If a song has dropped out of the Hot 100, it won't in Radio Songs if it has gone recurrent in the Hot 100 even if it has a high enough audience to be in the Top 50. I hope that's a good enough explanation for you. Regarding spiritual guidance, maybe there are others in the Proboards who can provide you some ... (this is NOT meant to be taken seriously!)

In Spotify and YouTube the numbers are pretty low (#154 and #454, respectively with the latter number being worldwide) for MR. One place it's doing relatively well is in Pandora where it rose 8 positions to #36 the past week. At this point, streaming is the weakest component for the song.

What's her problem with streaming? Allegedly, GaGa's ex-manager is now working at Spotify and is purposely keeping MR off of the Top Hits playlist!
