Bummed about "Losing Grip" being out now but not surprised there. I am happy about the other two missing Top 5 though!

Oh wow I thought this was a lock for Top 5. Not really complaining about its place though.
Edit: wow my #1 is in the Top 6, hopefully it'll make Top 5.

07. Wish You Were HereAVG: 11.51428571 MED: 10 STD: 7.289684204 FINAL SCORE: 7.697939066
Album: Goodbye Lullaby Songwriters: Avril Lavigne, Max Martin, Shellback Producers: Max Martin, Shellback"Wish You Were Here" was the third single from Avril's fourth album, Goodbye Lullaby. Avril discussed her excitement about it being a single with MTV News: "I'm excited about 'Wish You Were Here' being the single because it's a ballad and the song kind of represents the album definitely more so than the first single" (DAT "What the Hell" SHADE!). Avril also talked about working with Max Martin to create the song: "He said some really kind things that really meant a lot to me. He worked with so many people and he's an artist, he's very sensitive. We wrote a couple really special songs together. It's kind of hard to work with someone new, and when I went in and did vocals on 'Wish You Were Here', I did my first take, and then Max stood up and was like, 'I'm so honored that you're here.' And it was a really special moment, where he understood me and I understood him. We connected and had a really great time. And it was really magic my first trip there." The song comes from a place deep inside and is very much about someone in Avril's life. "I love this song. I like this song because I wrote it about missing somebody and that's something that we all go through at some point in our lives. It's just about looking back and remembering all those good times you shared with somebody, all the crazy moments. And that's life. We all experience that at some point, but it has a positive message." The track wasn't a big hit by any means, coming off of the modest at best success of "Smile." It peaked at number 65 on the Hot 100, but was a top ten hit in Lebanon, Belgium, and South Korea. #02 born#03 Sambalada#03 .indulgecountry#04 Az Paynter#04 Who The Hell Is Leo?✔#04 Kanenrá:ke#04 @walker9 #05 austin#05 castleoblivion26#05 Normi#06 ★Disco★#07 †ealsünset#07 Super Rose Bros.#08 Snowbeast#09 Juan Carlos#09 zaclord 🌈#09 Au$tin#10 Juanca#11 bboat11#11 Libra#12 Choco#12 YotamTS#13 @quirkyfarang #13 rgreen0625#14 aerodynamite#16 CF15#16 Leaf#19 james518#20 alexcuse#21 Doc Indie Party Rock#21 toomuchboy#22 ry4n#23 nick64#27 bat1990#28 @mirza {Songs Remaining}Complicated I'm with You Keep Holding On My Happy Ending Nobody's Home When You're Gone

Love Don't Tell Me! I expected it to be lower so #10 is a decent placement. It's one of my favourite songs of the entire decade though.

Smile and What The Hell were both more Avril but Wish You Were Here was definitely better representative of the album. It was a good album and this was the best song from it. A late-career classic. Pleasantly surprised it did as well here!

06. When You're GoneAVG: 9.8 MED: 9 STD: 5.422176685 FINAL SCORE: 6.869130743
Album: The Best Damn Thing Songwriters: Avril Lavigne, Butch Walker, Jesse Welch Producers: Butch Walker"When You're Gone" was the second single from Avril's third album, The Best Damn Thing. Avril says that the song "is about being with someone you love, and you have to say goodbye, and all the little things you miss about them." More than likely, it's about Deryck Whibley, but there's not any confirmation on this. According to her, she did not intend the song to be a love song, but she was writing a slow song and the process brought out "all that emotional stuff" in her. "It's not cheesy, because I wrote it", she said. "If I was older, a professional writer coming up with all that, that would be lame." The track also has a genuine string section from composer Rob Mathes. The track was a modest success off of the smash that was "Girlfriend." It peaked at number 24 on the Hot 100 while hitting the top ten in fourteen countries, including a number three peak in the UK, number eight in Canada, and number four in Australia. It also went number one in the Ukraine. The track is platinum in the US, Australia, and Brazil. #01 @quirkyfarang #02 bboat11#03 castleoblivion26#03 ★Disco★#03 Who The Hell Is Leo?✔#03 Leaf#04 .indulgecountry#05 Choco#06 Sambalada#06 Juanca#06 Normi#07 alexcuse#07 born#08 Juan Carlos#09 Az Paynter#09 ry4n#09 Kanenrá:ke#09 rgreen0625#09 Super Rose Bros.#10 CF15#10 james518#10 zaclord 🌈#11 †ealsünset#12 @walker9 #13 toomuchboy#14 nick64#15 austin#15 Doc Indie Party Rock#16 bat1990#16 Libra#16 Snowbeast#18 aerodynamite#18 @mirza #18 YotamTS#22 Au$tin{Songs Remaining}Complicated I'm with You Keep Holding On My Happy Ending Nobody's Home

Ugh @ KHO making the Top 5 over WYG. (I like KHO too though, but WYG is just such perfection.)

Yeah, I'm surprised KHO is Top 5. Wow!
I bet it's #5. Nobody's Home is probably #4. I could see any of the remaining three at #1 since I don't think Complicated necessarily has a clear lead there, despite being her obvious biggest hit. I think it'll be a close race. MHE #3, C #2 and IWY #1.

"Keep Holding On" in the Top 5! <3
Anyway, sad to see that "Losing Grip" couldn't go further, but at least it made the Top 10 though.

I'll be shocked if Complicated, I'm With You, and My Happy Ending aren't the top 3. In any case, I'm pleasantly surprised Nobody's Home reached the top 5. I've always loved it ever since the first time I heard it in '04; it really is amazing. I thought it wouldn't succeed since it wasn't as big a hit or as well-remembered as a lot of songs on here, but thankfully that wasn't the case.

I hope either "My Happy Ending" or "I'm With You" win this. I like "Complicated" too, but I prefer the other two songs over it to be honest.

Nobody's Home is easily my favorite Avril single ever so I am beyond happy that it is top 5. Would love to see it pull an upset and be #1 though I definitely see it being between Complicated, I'm With You & My Happy Ending. The only one left not from my top 10 will hopefully be #5

I am shocked to see "Nobody's Home" still in as we enter the top 5. It is a good song, but I definitely think "What The Hell" was more top-10 worthy than it is, and "When You're Gone" is definitely more top-5 worthy. I am also shocked to see "Keep Holding On" still in here, but that is much more of a pleasant surprise. I kinda figured it would be one of those songs that was out in the 20s that I would be the highest ranker for, just because it was a soundtrack single! Also, LOL at there being 25 #1s remaining as we enter the top 5. I think we're gonna get to our top 2 and like half of the submissions are going to be #1s Here is my prediction: 5 - Nobody's Home 4 - Keep Holding On 3 - My Happy Ending 2 - Complicated 1 - I'm With You

Good to see my non top 10 songs ranked 10 and 9 :-) It was hard to rank my 10-5 so I'm fine with Sk8er, Wish and When ranking 8-6. The piano ballads are quite strong for Avril, and both videos really elevated the songs. At some point it was a bit hard to remember which was which though In any case, I'm ecstatic that KHO is in the top 5!!!! Thought it was gonna be my odd choice. Great to see Pulse recognize its greatness :-)

Always hated 'Don't Tell Me'. Meanwhile, 'My Happy Ending' and 'Nobody's Home' was an AMAZING one-two punch.

10. Losing Grip - I LOVE this. Glad it made Top 10! 9. Don't Tell Me - Total jam. I'm ok with its placing 8. Sk8er Boi - Classic! Expected it to be higher but it's better that way so it makes room for other songs 7. Wish You Were Here - My favorite at the time. This song is soo strong! 6. When you're gone - I have her ballads so high Songs remaining: 1,2,10,12,13 I underranked 13 so much; should've been my #7, I don't.know what I was thinking; but no problem as that boosts the chances for my #1 Prediction: 5. Nobody's Home 4. Keep Holding On 3. My Happy Ending 2. Complicated 1. I'm With You

10. Losing Grip Great song. Just missed my top 10, so I placed it more or less where it comes in on this rankdown. This song one hell of a powerful chorus.
9. Don't Tell Me Another powerful chorus, but as far as Avril songs go, there where stronger songs with this kind of Pop rock vibe.
8. Sk8er Boi This one had one the best Pop Punk vibes, a female rocker song ,has ever had. You can hear some real inspiration for Paramore songs that were yet to come.
7. Wish You Were Here This seemed like a weaker version of all her hits. The fact that it peaked under the Hot 100 top 50; makes me wonder how it came in so high on this rankdown? That first line of the chorus "Damn damn damn" seemed forced and only inserted to give the song a more aggressive feel.
6. When You're Gone This is another song that I was surprised to see come in this high? It's not a bad song at all. The best part is that epic sounding chorus, but it doesn't have much playback power.

Ouch! That hurt. Was really hoping "when you're gone" would make it to the final night. I guess I am rooting for "I'm with you" from here on, but would love to see "Nobody's home" win - am actually surprised it made it this far, was expecting it to go out @ 10ish.
