I do want new music, but there's a lot of things Janet could work on and release aside from music, so I'm not really pressed about what she'll do musically after 2022. If she and her team decide to get it together and make those other non-new music things happen, only time will tell. Speaking of...it's been 30 days since the petition created by Lucas (Stan4Jan on Janet Club) began and we are close to 800 signatures! Please read and then sign whenever you can. Some of Janet's albums are in desperate need for certifications update. It's been LONG overdue lol.  I’ve accepted that this just isn’t going to happen. It’s been too long. Control hasn’t been updated in 30 years, same with RN1814. 25+ years for janet. and DOAD. 20 years for AFY. I’m sure the debut album has gone gold and that has been 40 years. Discipline is eligible for gold. That’s why it always irks me when some fanbases of artists complain about certifications. No one else in Janet’s peer group has been more shafted by this than Janet. NO ONE. I’m not saying give up hope, but I don’t see any light at the end of this tunnel while she’s still with us. To be proven wrong would be incredible, but…  |

It’s shameful her certs are extremely out of date and those are just the albums! I’m sure her singles are even worse.

I'm annoyed that the whole hidden track thing was transferred to streaming.
1. Can't Be Stopped is better than Special. I'm annoyed I have to skip to the 4 minute mark anytime I want to hear it individually.
2. Streaming wise a hidden track doesn't even make sense. Just split them into 2 thus the album gets more streams and they receive more royalties.

Never cared much for the former, despite my understanding of its inclusion to bring the album full circle. I think Accept Me works even better because it’s a “work in progress” song. |

I think best case would have been this: - "Accept Me" as the official album closer; with its use of the word 'special' and its theme of personal acceptance, it would still bring the album full circle with the overall theme and with opener "Velvet Rope" in particular - "Can't Be Stopped" remains the hidden track since it's lyrical focus is more general/widepspread - "Special" is the b-side to a single |

Interesting. This has made me want to listen to both albums again. Haven’t in YEARS!! I guess the 90s. And even back then I did only once or twice each album so I hardly remember anything from them. It’ll be I hope nice to rediscover. For me Janet started with Control. Meaning I became a fan with Control. |

Just realized that her music has aged so well because she released four consecutive and very unique albums that really have no comparables in terms of sound. I think time has been very kind to her catalogue.
