This won't be open for quite a while yet as Avril is my main concern right now. So no sweating on yet another rankdown! Because we're not quite there yet and won't be until late June at the earliest. This rankdown promises to be different from the others. Instead of an artist, genre, album, or other theme, this rankdown is completely random. I set my iPod to shuffle and the first 30 songs to appear by different lead artists were chosen. I gotta say, this is going to be quite the interesting rankdown! Pulse favorites, icons, flops, and complete unknowns are all over this list! I mean, truly, we have some music gods in this list up against artists most of you have likely never heard of. Over the next month, I will slowly reveal the list and introduce you to all 30 tracks in this rankdown one at a time, giving you all a chance to really get to know these songs before you go to rank them. It's gonna be one hell of a ride! First track will be introduced tomorrow. Get ready.

Introducing our first song...
3 Doors Down - It's Not My Time
"It's Not My Time" is one of the few tracks from 3 Doors Down that I like, and it was their first song to capture my attention since their Away from the Sun days. Admittedly, this track has not aged super well with me, but I still enjoy it from time to time. Maybe you all will as well. So put on your headphones and get to know "It's Not My Time," our first contender for The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown!

It's time to reveal another song.
Katy Perry - Peacock
"Peacock" landed in my music library when I purchased Teenage Dream. The production on this is pure fire and was an instant standout on the album for me. It was pretty damn obvious in the first listen that it was about dicks, because, well, duh. But that wasn't gonna stop me from enjoying it. Though, I must admit, the song got a little weird when I got to thinking and figured out given the time frame and everything, the song is probably specifically about Russell Brand's cock. Oh... Well, okay, but I'm still going to thoroughly enjoy that bridge.

What a fascinating way to reveal the list. I love it! I might participate, since this will be a much easier way to learn all 30 songs than simply having to listen to all 30 at once

Time for song #3!
Demi Lovato - Yes
I obtained this track after purchasing Confident, which is an album I highly suggest you all check out if you have not yet (it was even surprisingly nominated for a Grammy!). Upon first run-through of the album, "Yes" wasn't a standout, but it quickly became one for me. It has such a cool r&b infused sound in the chorus that meshes well the wicked call-and-response pop/rock sound in the verses. So, here's your chance to get acquainted and say either yes or no to "Yes" in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown!

Honestly Yes would've been a way better single pick then Stone Cold If not, Wildfire, Kingdom Come, & Old Ways were all better potential picks.

^ The whistle note especially makes it 10x better Surely a major standout from the album
Only 5 tracks from Confident stayed with me: CFTS, Confident, Wildfire, Yes, & Old Ways Everything else died out quickly or was only ok

Ooh, I love all of the speculations.
Here's a few more hints for the next few songs:
4. The remix in question has the artist's vocals pitched higher. 5. By a virtually unknown singer. 6. By a duo that recently announced they split up. 7. Was a lead single. 8. This artist has since passed away (as are the artists of #13 and #22).
