#17... Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Goin Down "Sugar, We're Goin Down" was actually a song I was extremely late to the party to. The first Fall Out Boy song I heard was "Dance, Dance"... or so I thought. I heard and loved "Dance, Dance" on the bus ride home from school almost every day. It was a killer jam that I was all about. A few months after loving that track, one of my cousins was skipping around the house one night singing the lyrics to this one. I recognized it, sort of. It was that one song I had heard like once or twice on the radio before but never paid any attention to. I asked what it was. To my surprise, it was the same band that sang "Dance, Dance"! What was odd to me, though, was that I really wasn't that big of a fan of this song, until a few years later. This song has aged beautifully with me, as has "Dance, Dance." Hopefully this song won't be goin down down in a early round when you go to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: Not gonna lie, I messed up, lol. -Iconic emo middle school phase. - Indeed was my clue for this song. When I wrote down the clues, though, I forgot to include which song went with which clue. Last night when I read that clue, my mind went to, "oh yeah, 'Misery Business'," and created the other two clues to match that... but "Misery Business" isn't in this rankdown. My bad. - Hint #2 - Would have been a great allusion between Riot! and Rock Steady's album covers. Too bad this song is not from that album. - Hint #3 - A stock photo of business, which has nothing to do with this song. My clues would have been an image of cork and an image of a sugar packet. Hints for Song #18 (and I promise to get the song correct with this one...) -This artist already had a rankdown with this song doing quite well. - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

18 and barely legal! Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway I've never been a massive fan of this track and always found it to be fitting as the soundtrack single it was meant to be, so I never quite understood the massive love and hit status of this one. I do still like it, but not as much as others (it came in the high 20s in my Kelly Clarkson single ranks). Basically I have to be in the mood to thoroughly enjoy listening to this. I do have an appreciation for this one, though, since it was the lead single of the album that turned me from a Kelly Clarkson fan to a hardcore stan. Hopefully you'll spread your legswings and fly this high when you go to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -This artist already had a rankdown with this song doing quite well. - Pretty self-explanatory. - Hint #2 - An image of a princess tiara, hinting at The Princess Diaries 2, the film this song was originally for. - Hint #3 - Avril Lavigne wrote this track. Hints for Song #19 -Well, she sure did it to her career with that dance. - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

Nineteen. Ashlee Simpson - Murder (feat. Izza Kizza) "Murder" is a track off of Ashlee Simpson's criminally underrated third album, Bittersweet World. This was the first time I had ever been excited for an Ashlee Simpson album, and it delivered. "Murder" was one of the first highlights from the album when it came out, but it has since aged a little poorly in my opinion. I still enjoy it from time to time. If you have the chance, check out this entire album. Hopefully ranking this song won't be too murderous when you go to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -Well, she sure did it to her career with that dance. - Meaning she "murdered" her career with the infamous SNL disaster. - Hint #2 - A murder scene. - Hint #3 - Homer Simpson, Ashlee Simpson. Come on. Hints for Song #20 -Rapey title, but great song. - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

VH1's Top 20 Video Countdown Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved I have to admit, this is one of those songs that was around when I was younger that I didn't much care for, but as I got older, I started to get into it. Now I consider it as one of Maroon 5's best singles to date. I really miss Songs About Jane era Maroon 5. I get that bands can change their sound and whatnot, but modern day Maroon 5 is such a joke compared to this Maroon 5. Evolution of sound is great as long as quality doesn't suffer (see: Paramore), and dear Lorde how it has suffered for them. Hopefully you will also be loved when it comes times to rank this in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -Rapey title, but great song. - She will be loved... - Hint #2 - The color maroon. - Hint #3 - Jane from Disney's Tarzan. The album this track comes from it titled Songs About Jane. Hints for Song #21 -Probably because of how terribly his career went. - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

21 and legally allowed to drink, bitches! Kevin Rudolf - Scarred "Scarred" is a track off of Kevin Rudolf's debut album, In the City. Yes, that Kevin Rudolf. The guy famously known for his hit "Let It Rock" in 2008 and really nothing else (despite having another hit entitled "I Made It (Cash Money Heroes)," but of course no one remembers that). So, like, after "Let It Rock" happened, I actually decided to check out his album when it released. Honestly, it's not bad. It really isn't. It has a lot of gems hidden in there, especially with tracks like "I Song," "No Way Out," "She Can Get It," "Great Escape," "Gimme a Sign," and the second single that bombed, "Welcome to the World." "Scarred" isn't one of the major highlights, but it is one of the better tracks on the album. I'm glad something of his managed to make it onto this rankdown in hopes it'll make more Pulse members check out his debut. Hopefully it won't leave you too scarred when you go to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -Probably because of how terribly his career went. - He's likely scarred from how terrible his career spiraled downwards after blowing up with his debut. Maybe he'll return with a killer track that references his essentially one-hit-wonder pass a la Mike Posner. - Hint #2 - Scar from The Lion King = "Scarred" - Hint #3 - Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer = Kevin Rudolf Hints for Song #22 -Iconic. Legend. Dance. - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

Yes, I do realize how late it is. I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22.... Come on, guys, would I really make it that obvious? The answer to this is yes, yes I would. Whitney Houston - I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) This song is legendary. Iconic. Wonderful. Amazing. So much fun. All the good adjectives. Aside from "I Will Always Love You," I honestly didn't know any other Whitney Houston song until middle school. That's when I was introduced to SingStar, a popular karaoke game for PlayStation 2 and 3. It was big around the same time as Guitar Hero and Rock Band. A friend picked it to sing and it was so damn fun! I had never heard it before, but I was hooked on it at first listen. Such an intense jam. Hopefully you can find someone to dance with when you go to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: I mean, do you really need this for this one?! -Iconic. Legend. Dance. - This song is iconic, by a legend, and is about dancing. - Hint #2 - The oddly titled new Bebe Rexha track reminds me of this track's title. - Hint #3 - Literally samples this song. Hints for Song #23 -Recent Disney cover. -Kilometers upon kilometers. - Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

Annie Lennox - I Put A Spell On You? - Recent Disney cover (ie. was used in Hocus Pocus, making it a cover of a song used in a *relatively* recent Disney movie) - KM/H upon KM/H - reference to Annie's album 'Dark Road' - Kathy Najimi (from aforementioned movie Hocus Pocus, where 'I Put A Spell On You' is featured - as per clue #1)

Onto #23. Alessia Cara - How Far I'll Go A wonderful cover version of what will likely go down as yet another classic Disney song. From the amazing film Moana. This might actually be the first time I enjoy the official "pop version" of the song more than the Disney original. Don't get me wrong, the original track by Auli'i Cravalho is beautiful, but Alessia breathes life into it in such a simple, but cool way. No wonder the cover went on to be a hit and be streamed well over 200 million times on Spotify, the most for any Disney-related song. Hopefully you'll just just how far up or down to rank this when it's time to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -Recent Disney cover. - Can't get any more recent than this! -Kilometers upon kilometers. - A play on the title, plus how far Moana actually goes in the movie. - Hint #3 - Okay, sit back and take this one in. This hint is based off of the unfortunate thumbnail preview for Alessia's "Seventeen" music video on YouTube. Hints for Song #24 -I'm not finished talking with you! -A bonus track. - Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

24. Britney Spears - Don't Hang Up So there was a time when I stanned (the newest addition to the Oxford English Dictionary!) for Britney Spears. It was the In the Zone era, and to this day, I still maintain that ITZ is her best album. I had the album, of course, and played it like crazy. Even crazier, I ended up buying the damn tour/behind-the-scenes DVD that came out as well. You know, the one with the bonus CD. Well, that bonus CD had this hot track on it. Easily one of my favorite Britney tracks. It's a JAM! Hopefully you won't hang up on this track when it comes time to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -I'm not finished talking with you! - A play on the track title. -A bonus track. - While I obtained it from the DVD EP, it was also a bonus track for ITZ in Australia, Japan, and most European countries. - Hint #3 - Get in the zone, Auto Zone! Hints for Song #25 -Hello, sibling! - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64 Pollen willapted33

Venticinco. Good job on figuring out the clues to this one, guys! Avicii - Hey Brother This is one of those songs that took a while to grow on me. Eventually, it clicked, and went on to be a modest hit with me, peaking at #17. Despite it peaking far lower than "Wake Me Up!" at #4, I actually have grown to prefer this to WMU. There's something about it that has a classic, timeless feel. Hopefully there's nothing in this world you wouldn't do but rate this in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -Hello, sibling! - A play on the track title. - Hint #2 - The music video uses clips from the Vietnam War. - Hint #3 - The sky is falling down in both this movie and in this track's lyrics. Hints for Song #26 -This album has had a rankdown recently. Buzzfeed was all over it. - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64 Pollen willapted33 Who The Hell Is Leo?✔
