Not really sure what #9 could be. Third hint made me think Fifty Shades, and first hint just enforced that, but I checked the track list and I don't think that's it (Thank God, cuz EWWWW if that's where those tissues were from)

#9 could be Boom Clap but I'm not good at hints

It's gotta be Boom Clap: "stars shining as your bones illuminate" the "bones" can be misheard as "balls" and TFIOS surely yields a theatre full of tissues

#9 in 3... 2.. 1. Charli XCX - Boom Clap Good job on the guesses, @jamesflame and Leaf! "Boom Clap" is of course from The Fault In Our Stars. I immediately liked the track when I first heard it, and it only grew on me more and more from there, landing a peak of #2 for three weeks on my personal chart in late summer of 2014 behind "Black Widow" By Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora. The track got me interested in checking out Charli XCX's music, but unfortunately, I haven't liked anything else she has done outside of the album version of "Doing It," despite her usually being lumped in with pop goddess Carly Rae Jepsen. Maybe this song will make your bones illuminate when you go to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown (or hopefully not, because that sounds like some disease worse than the characters of that movie had). Hints for Song #10 -Where the hell did this promising young star disappear to? - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza

I have no idea what #10 could be. My only guess is Lloyd because he's young and has a song called Get It Shawty which is similar to Hint #3 but I really have no idea

It's time for #10 Karina - The Love We Got Now it's time for a song I would almost guarantee none of you have ever heard before. "The Love We Got" is a great r&b slow jam sang by Karina. It's a track from her debut album, First Love and co-written by The-Dream, hence the clues. Karina came onto the scene nine years ago to critical acclaim. She was only 16 years old! She quickly started to gain traction in the industry with tracks like the critically acclaimed ballad "16 @ War," the Alicia Keys inspires "Can't Find the Words," and the promo singles that she even got to perform on Good Morning America (or was it The Early Show?) "First Love" and "Winner." Since then, though, she has pretty much fallen off the face of the Earth. I actually had to Google her to see what happened to her. Apparently she's released two EPs since her debut album under Karina Pasian instead of just Karina. And apparently the first EP released in 2011 and then re-released in 2014 replacing a Christmas song cover with a new live acoustic version of an old track from First Love. (Lol, wut?) Her second EP apparently came out last year? Sure, Jan. But, officially, no full length follow up to First Love. "The Love We Got" is easily one of the album's highlights and honestly through the years has ended up becoming my favorite track from the album. Hopefully you'll be down for the love you got with this track when it comes time to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hints for Song #11 -Well, then, morphine for all! -The artist has/had their own singles rankdown. - Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza

Nice guess, guys, but I don't care for TSGHLAMF. So let's reveal #11. Avril Lavigne - Everybody Hurts One of my favorite tracks from Goodbye Lullaby, here is Avril Lavigne's "Everybody Hurts." Unfortunately, other than the fact that I discovered the track after purchasing the album, I don't have much else to say about it. So, instead, how about a quick plug that yours truly is hosting Avril Lavigne's singles rankdown. It's right here and submissions are due on June 5th! Now this track isn't on there since it wasn't a single, so hopefully you won't be hurting too much when you rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hints for Song #12 -Stop cheating, dammit. - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

Definitely getting "Before He Cheats" vibes from the next song. Although I'm not sure how the 2nd hint matches up with that...

Also, I love Avril Lavigne's voice. I am not overly familiar with her, but I have liked just about everything I have ever heard from her.

I'm so here for a Lemonade song. I'd say "Don't Hurt Yourself" but "Hold Up" too?!? I know that I'm going to embarrass myself if this turns out to be wrong but it has to be "Hold Up". I mean, "hold up" actually means rob someone or sth and the guy in the hint seems like that kind of person

"Before He Cheats," "Don't Hurt Yourself," and "Hold Up" are all great guesses, especially since I have all three on my iPod. However, it is the second hint that narrows it down to just one of these options. Here is #12. Beyoncé - Hold Up When Lemonade first released and I checked it out, only a few stood out to me enough to go purchase them (which is more than I can say for the album's precursor). Other than "Formation," they were "Don't Hurt Yourself," "Freedom," "6 Inch," and "Daddy Lessons." None of the other tracks really hit hard enough for me to really consider getting them. A few months later, however, I heard "Hold Up" on a local urban station, and suddenly it clicked! After getting home, I downloaded the song and it went on to be a modest hit on my personal chart, peaking at number 21 after 15 weeks. Hopefully Beyoncé won't find you and hold you down when you go to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -Stop cheating, dammit. - The song is about Jay-Z's affair and basically a warning to him to not do it again. (Though, "Don't Hurt Yourself" is a much more viscious version of this!) - Hint #2 - It's a criminal holding up someone. - Hint #3 - Beyoncé goes all Carrie Underwood in the music video and beats up a car with a baseball bat. Hints for Song #13 -¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -This artist has since passed away. - Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

Saved the same six songs from Lemonade (+ "Sorry") Not too sure with this one either. Looked through Christina Grimmie songs and got nothing. Nothing rings a bell from Prince, Michael, or Whitney, and don't feel like taking the time to recheck their discographies lol

Looked through Christina Grimmie songs and got nothing. You should have looked harder! Here comes #13. Christina Grimmie - Shrug "Shrug" was a post- The Voice track Grimmie released shortly after "Must Be Love." I don't recall exactly how I discovered it, but if I had to guess, it showed up on iTunes or something not too long after its release. "Shrug" is very much inspired by The Emancipation of Mimi era Mariah Carey right down to the whistle tones. The track also features a random "rap" verse at the end, but whoever is doing it isn't given credit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This is easily one of Grimmie's best tracks, so I was excited to see it come up for this rankdown. Hopefully you don't just shrug it off when it comes time to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - Shrug emoticon. -This artist has since passed away. - Christina Grimmie unfortunately passed away due to a fatal gunshot to the face from a crazed stalker at a meet and greet following a performance in Orlando last summer (literally the day before the Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando). - Hint #3 - As stated above, the whistle hook in this track is paying homage to Mariah Carey and the track sounds like it's from The Emancipation of Mimi, specifically resembling "Get Your Number." Hints for Song #14 -It's scary and humans exist there. - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

Number 14: Taylor Swift - The Outside Ah, I remember getting Taylor's debut album for Christmas many years ago. I asked for it and at that time I had only heard the first three singles, but honestly, the main reason I wanted it was because I loved "Our Song" so much. This was also before I had an iPod and iTunes. While Taylor Swift is not my favorite album from Taylor, I still maintain that it is her most consistent album to date. It has high highs, but not really any low lows. The same cannot be said for any other album. 1989 got close, though, if it weren't for "Welcome to New York" and "How You Get the Girl" stinking up the album for different reasons. "The Outside" has never been one of my favorites from Taylor, but it is a worthy component to this rankdown. Hopefully you won't be looking at this rankdown from the outside and choose to participate so you can rank this in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -It's scary and humans exist there. - A reference being outside, heh. - Hint #2 - Okay, this is my favorite hint so far. Taylor has been referred to as a "snake" lately due to recent revelations of her character not being so perfect like she let on, and this is from her debut, which is total country. So, a snake wearing a cowboy hat. Cute. - Hint #3 - An image that resembles her debut album's cover art. Hints for Song #15 -But unfortunately she never had herself. - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

Not "The Outside" I mean it's cute & fits the album but it might also finish last I don't know, I can see #21 or #28 going out first. But of course, you don't know what those are yet, so... "Puppet" is also something I don't see lasting long.

3x5=15 Leona Lewis - I Got You I cannot remember how I discovered this. Likely just from checking out clips of Echo, but yeah, "I Got You" is easily one of Leona's best tracks. It's such a shame she ended up falling off the face of the Earth after her debut album because this track deserved to be a hit. I also remember around the same time this became a single, she released "I See You" for Avatar, and it's like, girl, are you trying to confuse everyone? So strange to have two similarly titled singles from the same artist at the same time... Hopefully this track will get you when it's time to rank it in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -But unfortunately she never had herself. - A play on the song's title and Leona's career post- Spirit. - Hint #2 - A picture of an Amazon Echo and the album this comes from is entitled Echo. - Hint #3 - A gif of Leona Lewis in the music video for Britney Spears's "Radar." (Also, an old as joke. Insert beating a dead horse joke here.) Hints for Song #15 -Wherever this song lands, it will land. -The artist recently released a single for the first time in nine years. -5 Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

YASSS I Got You!!!
Omg this song brings so much nostalgia! I remember my sister was a Leona fan during the 'Spirit' era. This along with "I Will Be" is one my favorites from Leona.
Go ahead and make me cry, I'll be alright

16. Over halfway there! Vanessa Hudgens - Whatever Will Be Man, I still remember how excited I was for V to drop. I was in my 6th grade Disney Channel loving days and THE Vanessa Hudgens from High School Musical was about to drop her own album after the killer single, "Come Back to Me," which I was obsessed with. V is a stellar album. "Whatever Will Be" is one of the highlights, so I'm glad it made it to the rankdown. It wasn't one of my initial favorites, but as I got older, the track aged beautifully. Hopefully whatever you rank it, it will be when you go to rank this track in The Au$tin Shuffle Rankdown. Hint Explanations: -Wherever this song lands, it will land. - A play on the song's title. -The artist recently released a single for the first time in nine years. - "Reminding Me" with Shawn Hook is her first single since "Sneakernight" in 2008. Jesus. By the way, check that song out if you haven't yet. It's great! -5 - A play on the album title this track comes from. "V" is also the Roman numeral for five. Hints for Song #17 -Iconic emo middle school phase. - Hint #2- Hint #3Tags - If you would like to be tagged whenever a new song is revealed, please let me know! castleoblivion26 Kanenrá:ke bboat11 @mirza nick64

Side note: Australian singer/actress Tammin Sursok (anyone who watches Pretty Little Liars may know her) released a cover the original version of 'Whatever Will Be' as the third second single from her one and only album. EDIT: I should fact-check before passing along anecdotes lol.

EDIT: I should fact-check before passing along anecdotes lol. I had to look up who that was. It's the blind bitch who isn't really blind from PLL. Anyway, I never knew "Whatever Will Be" was a "cover." I use "cover" loosely here. It was likely just a case of "hey, this one chick from Australia sang this song and had moderate success with it, it was never released anywhere else, here Vanessa, put it on your album too." Like Kelly Clarkson's "Run Run Run" (originally Tokyo Hotel), Miranda Cosgrove's "Kiss You Up" (originally Shontelle), or even Rascal Flatts's "What Hurts the Most" (originally Mark Wills). Still a cover, but likely Vanessa never even knew, lol.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were the involvement of Matthew Gerrard, who's done a lot with Disney's stable. He probably took some songs he'd worked on (including WWB) and threw them at Vanessa to record.
