This song was super hard for me to rank for some reason. I don't have memories of liking this song very much when it was released, so it doesn't have a lot of nostalgia for me... But then listening to it now I love how the chorus goes into a driving groove! It's super catchy!

Wait, WHAT??! This is one of their most awesome songs!!! The lyrics are SO them, and that guitar riff throughout the song is incredibly tasty. Very disappointed in this reveal... (And at who ranked it low!!!! Wtf LBTrocks! This is "country rock at its finest", or whatever the hell you like to say every time you bet on the sickest, nastiest-looking horse on the field and try to justify why everybody else should too...) |

It's not that it's not "them" because it is, but the melody does very little for me and I don't like the instrumentation. If you want to talk about 'country rock at its finest' this is definitely not the MG song to list as the perfect example of that  |

This time it was zaclord 🌈 who lost his #2 And we have another top 10 loss for bboat11 and a few others. "Some People Change" is such a great song! It's always made me emotional. I love the lyrics so much. I love the melody. Another song I hated to put so "low" but again, that's what happens when you adore too many songs in a rankdown! |

Fun fact for those of you that might not know... MG's "Merry Christmas From The Family" is a cover. The original is by Robert Earl Keene. MG's is definitely an improvement lol, especially vocally. Easy there...Robert Earl Keen is just as much a legend in Texas as George Strait! I know vocally many of you might find him unappealing, but he’s a great songwriter and is just a very humble, nice guy. I wasn’t all that into him either until I got the chance to see one of his shows here in Austin and left a fan as I quickly learned he’s also a great entertainer. Anyways...I mostly hear REK’s version here in Texas but this song is always a Christmas staple of mine. I’ve been quite busy lately and also just got back from vacation so I haven’t had the chance to respond much, but I was a bit disappointed to see “Didn’t I” get so many low rankings. This has long been one of my favorites from MG and vocally this has always been a standout from their discography. This song definetly deserved better. |

So the plan tonight is to reveal (at least) 5 songs so we can get to the top 10. Expect reveals to start within the hour.
And then tomorrow my idea is to reveal 5 during the day, and the final 5 at night. :-)
