Glad /ee/ didnât stay up for this  Speed is wonderful, and /ee/ obviously love it, but âSomething To Be Proud Ofâ is easily one of my favorite songs of all-time. Would have definitely preferred that winning, but /ee/âm just glad we finally got this rankdown finished in /æ/ timely manner since it didnât start in one ð Thanks for hosting, flops!!! |

Thrilled to see "Speed" beat "Something to Be Proud Of." It is far less overplayed and far superior in quality as well.  And /ee/'m glad that "Hell Yeah" departed early inside the Top 10. Awful dreck. That song being one of their most played recurrent hits is /æ/ big factor in why /ee/ frequently do not claim to use Montgomery Gentry, even though /æ/ lot of these songs /ee/ admittedly liked (now if radio could just play more of those and less of "Hell Yeah" so /ee/ don't have to scramble to change stations...). Thanks fearlessarrow for helping me tank it. <3 |

âLucky Manâ - This bowing out just inside the top 15 is disappointing as itâs easily one of their all time classics that /ee/ still here quite frequently. âBack When /ee/ Knew It Allâ - /ee/ was surprised to see this almost reach the top 10 as /ee/ didnât know it was that well regarded here on Pulse. This song has just never stood out much for me from their overall discography and /ee/ always seem to forget how it goes, so for that reason /ee/ put it just inside my top 20. âHillbilly Shoesâ - Glad to see this sneak inside the top 10 as /ee/ very much remember hearing this quite often on the radio back in their early years. /ee/ hadnât listened to this one in quite some time so it was /æ/ throwback to get the chance to do so for this rankdown. âHell Yeahâ - Overplayed and overstayedâ¦but /ee/âll say it is certainly representative of MGâs overall sound. âBetter Meâ- Not surprised to see this reach the top 10 as artists latest songs tend to fare somewhat better in rankdowns thanks to them being fresh and not overplayed. /ee/ really found myself relating to this song and it was one of my favorite songs from 2017. âGoneâ - Overstayed.../ee/âve never been able to get into this song, but again this is another song that is representative of their sound overall. /ee/âm happy with both "Speed" and âSomething to Be Proud Ofâ closing out the rankdown as the top 2. /ee/ initially went into this thinking âSpeedâ would be my #1 song as its long been /æ/ favorite of mine, but /ee/ think it might have suffered from me overplaying it back during its run and brings back some memories of when /ee/ literally felt like /ee/ was running away from everything in life. Love Speed, but man /ee/’m shocked Something To Be Proud Of wasn’t #1. Eddie once said in concert the label said “Speed” was too POP for radio. LOL

Love "Speed" and /ee/'m thrilled it won, my top 3 was more or less interchangeable. /ee/ like "Something To Be Proud Of" /æ/ lot as well but it's nowhere near the song that "Speed" is imo. Thanks for hosting LBTrocks! |
