And re Frozen and Break my soul, reimagining and sampling old hits can be successful, as we’ve seen with I’m Blue or First Class or Super Freaky Girl or Cold Heart, soooo Not saying it could never happen...lots of old singles come back and become hits in other forms or just via a simple re-release. However, the songs you mention, sample prior hits...but not hits that were MASSIVE and permeated pop culture as Madonna has. Songs like Super Freak by Rick James and Sacrifice by Elton John were hits in their day, but were not EVERYWHERE in the media and still have room to be new to people today. However, Madonna was just in everyone's face, ears, tv, etc. Vogue was and still is played and is just part of pop culture. My point was that there is not just as much of an opportunity to bring something new to it or introduce it to new audiences. It is just a piece of music that is part of the fabric of pop and gay culture for the past 30+ years. I cannot imagine that there are many people who would hear it and it would be new to them and spark a new discovery. Just my opinion. |

I like the song, but Madonna's parts are uneventful. Hopefully this leads to another song where Madonna is more heavily featured. |
