I've never understood how M's albums haven't been reissued as deluxe (sorry but the first three with the two extra remixes don't count, especially since there's plenty more to add from unreleased, alternate mixes, single versions, multiple dance remixes). LAP, Erotica, BS, ROL and Music all easily could (should) be deluxe. Perhaps reissuing those eight studio albums prior to #14 would be a good reminder of just how solid M was at creating pop gems.

One of these other companies like Edsel could do it properly. Edsel did a bunch of expanded deluxe editions for Bananarama, Belinda Carlisle, Dead Or Alive, Lisa Stansfield, and many other artists. They specialize in that sort of thing. They did a good job of remastering most of the albums and obtaining some of those rare and unreleased or hard to find versions. For the Lisa Stansfield ones, they even did a special bonus remix anthology which had previously unknown unreleased remixes.

Wow really?  I thought they'd been entirely removed by then.  Did you buy it on cassette just to have the cassette out of novelty, or were you still listening to cassettes a lot in 1998?

GHV2 was the first Madonna album I could not find a cassette for.

After a week of listening to Ray of Light non-stop I'm now stanning for Madonna. I love the energy of that album and those synths!

I agree about PRIOR to the next album.  Nothing against Cardi at all, but an album collaboration with her SOUNDS like something that would belong on one of her last 2 albums where she was hoping for some hits.

I'm all for collabs, but only if the featured artist/verse is organically part of the song and it's not just a cheap add-on.  I totally understand the desire for vets to want to work with today's artists, and it's not always about chasing hits.  Until I know more, this just initially seems like a bandwagon move to align herself with the flavor of the month.  I hope that if it does happen, I'm wrong and it's a bop.

Also, there may be no collaboration in the studio at all, so who knows.  I just want an inspired, focused album that is more about art than commerce..

I could also see it being a standalone release. Unless it actually could fit into the new album somehow. Cardi B has done a few collaborations so far where she adapted her style to mesh properly with whoever she worked with vs. her just doing what she does on her own releases. She did a 90s style rap flow on the song she did with Bruno Mars, her flow on the G-Eazy song matched what him and A$AP Rocky did, and then on her other one with Ozuna, she rapped and sang a little.

I wish she'd do November and try for Black Friday sales. Her target demographic is more likely to be out shoppin' or online shoppin' then.
Bundle it with a 2019 tour and people will be set for holiday presents.
