Shallow is the perfect song to sing and what a treat if she would sing over the rainbow, the eternal song of hope.

Loved the appearance overall. What a speech too! Mother making Trump mad a day before the election, we love to see.

There is a rumor about Gaga performing at EMAs this weekend, any confirmation so far?

I think it's false... She might appear though, as she's nominated multiple times.

Okay, the Gaga social media sites (Gaga daily and gaganow) have been extra annoying in the last few days. Just now:
It’s not even declared anywhere yet.

Gaga's IG post is so sweet, she thanked Stacey Abrams.

Did 911 go anywhere? I know it peaked at #1 on Bubbling Under, but it doesn't appear to have moved up onto the Hot 100. Has it? it peaked there the week of album release. they did nothing with it since the VMAs + video release. The album is really done?

This era was really boring. Good music, good videos, and the sole performance we got was real good. But the pacing was terrible, specially after "Rain on Me" dropped and they took ages to do anything with the album.
A Star is Born felt way bigger.

Would we have preferred if the album actually did get pushed back until about now? On one hand, maybe there’d have been more promo opportunities for Gaga to take advantage of and with the other things she was involved with this year wrapped up (as far as her involvement), maybe she’d have been better equipped now. But, with the album having already been announced earlier in the year, an 8-month (or more) delay might have worked against it - even with the covid angle. Remember, Stupid Love was already out before things really started shutting down. So even the hype she had going for her before the era was already dented. I’d say it was an all-or-nothing situation. Had Stupid Love not come out, a delay would have been best. Since it was already out and the wheels were set in motion for the era, I’d say they did the best thing. I do think the era could have been bigger in normal times, but I don’t think it was a disappointment by any means. In any case, Gaga seems to be focusing on her makeup line now, which is probably easier (and safer) to do during a pandemic, and probably has better financial results too. We’ll be lucky to have another album within five years I’d say.

Yes COVID stinks for promo but I've seen plenty of promo from many other artists through this. It seemed like a mess right around the time "Rain On Me" was peaking. There was nothing after the VMA's?? That was a little strange.. If she still wasn't getting nominations for her album and didn't do any political stuff I would of forgotten she had an album released recently.

This has been a common point and while it’s true, the only thing I can think of it that Gaga tends to go all out when she does promotion. Covid has made it difficult to do that so maybe she opted not to half-ass it. We tend to see promo as getting stuff out there and visible but some artists probably incorporate promo opportunities into their work. Filming an award show performance at home probably wouldn’t cut it so she said fuck it and moved on to other things.

I truly love Chromatica but it does feel like it will forever be tainted with COVID memories. I hope in a few years it will be something I listen to fondly, but I'm noticing I actually don't enjoy it much right now, since it very clearly takes me back to what will probably be looked back on as the early COVID days, and I get a bit of a pit in my stomach as result. Truly a shame.

It feels like Gaga and Dua Lipa's eras were ruined by Covid. I mean, everything has been ruined by Covid, but those are both party albums that would have majorly benefitted from wild videos, performances, and people going out to clubs and hearing the music.
As frustrated as fans are, I guarantee Gaga is even moreso. I'm sure she was ready to go full throttle with this one, but it just wasn't in the cards.

The only difference with this is that Dua proactively stayed involved with her era and did performances from home and is now filming new music videos and has a whole live event planned Gaga kinda up and went vanished for the most part with a handful of appearances in between ala the VMA's then the 911 music video That was about it, its been rather quiet almost as if they are basically saying Chromatica is over Kinda felt over almost immediately to a degree unless there is something big in the works that we don't know about yet

Dua Lipa had a lot more to prove with her second album, so it makes sense that she is working her ass off to promote it. Plus, her audience is probably a bit more receptive to the stay-at-home social media marketing techniques that she's doing. Of course I'd love if Gaga promoted this more but she's been in the game for 12 years now and at her peak was the biggest star in the world, maybe she just wants to chill with her money. I always wanted 911 as a single from the beginning I'm just surprised that radio didn't touch it. The era was a moderate success overall, and who knows, maybe it will have a second life.

I'd be content with acoustic at-home performances. Even if they are dance songs, they can still be stripped down.

Well, I am not surprised because they did not try pushing it to radio. 911 wasn't never serviced. It genuinely feels like Interscope and Gaga agreed that they didn't want to try considering how Rain On Me couldn't get further than a #9 peak on Top 40 no matter how massive of a hit it was.
