Wait this film cost over 75million?? Wow. Very interested in the box office. Pandemic era returns have been awful for films of this genre.

They might have a pretty good shot at Album of the Year considering this is Tony’s last album. He’ll get a lot of sympathy and legacy votes.

Caught "Gucci" last night and this gif accurately sums up how I felt about the film:  The cast was extraordinary (GaGa especially), but the film was a bit uneven in its execution. The first hour or so is a slower burn allowing us to get to know each member of the family a little bit while the second half FLIES through the years leading up to Maurizio being killed. I would have even preferred to see more of the court preceedings, unless that material wasn't covered much in the book the film is based on. This could have been great as a limited series too. |

Last week Love for sale was not on iTunes top 200. Today it is rising at #12 and #1 on Jazz iTunes.

Let's not go to the accent discussion here. She studied Patrizia's accent and did it the best she could and wherever that accent is from doesn't matter. Like Observer puts it "Her accent is anything but Italian, untraceable but vaguely reminiscent of everywhere from the Bronx to Vladivostok." It might disturb some people but if you concentrate on her accent alone, you'll miss everything else in the whole film. Anyway, the critics have written their mixed reactions (60+ on RT), but the audience is loving it (88 on RT). We'll see what happens during the weekend.
It is projected to debut with around 20 million at US Box Office alone which would great considering how global the movie is. It'll be profitable to MGM easily, but we'll see how big it ends up in the long run. In my country, it's opening on Dec 3. Australia must wait for a month :o

I didn’t know it was going to be out but Dawn or Chromatica is available on CD as of at least last week. I didn’t even recognize the cover when I saw it in the music store.

I think I might have enjoyed it more as a limited series but the movie was an entertaining watch and Gaga’s acting was superb (as was Driver’s and Pacino’s; Jared Leto was funny but it felt like a random character from an SNL sketch being inserted into the scenes). However, I expected it to be trashier and I do agree that the back half feels rushed; I would’ve liked to seen a bit more of the aftermath of his death and what led up to her arrest and conviction. The trial itself was such an afterthought that it felt like a Lifetime movie at the end lol

Saw the movie today, it was great! Gaga was obviously brilliant but I have a feeling that she could've dominate the movie even better if her scenes were longer. There are loads of them, but they fly so fast. I guess it's because the movie covers almost 20 years.

The CBS special got over 6 million viewers, Love for Sales is charting well on iTunes and Amazon. Hope it'll sell some physical copies too during the shopping season.

Saw it late last night. We all enjoyed it very much. Gaga hijacks the film. She is so fascinating and her expressions and body language draws you in. I couldn't keep my eyes off her. She will be nominated across the awards season. The film as a whole would not be as enjoyable without her. I’m still team ASIB tho.
